[Q] Camera CWM Flash

I've got something of a problem. I enjoy the speed and customization of Cyanogen, but I've also grown accustomed and frankly, think that the Samsung stock camera is the best camera app for our phones.
I was wondering whether or not it is possible to take the original stock camera, and create a CWM flashable ZIP file out of it? Like how Cyanogen has the ZIP flashable Google Apps.
I'm currently on a MIUI rom because it retains the original camera, but it doesn't have the finesse of Cyanogen.
Any help would be appreciated!
Hi,
cyanogen has another framework, the Samsung stock camera don't work.

CM and MIUI are pure aosp roms which has no 'samsungyness" left.
So no apps from samsung framework will work. Hence, you can NOT use stock camera on miui.
Only rom afaik, that is almost pure aosp and has a few good samsung apps in it, is GingerMod. (samsung browser, camera and fm radio).
And, for replacing/adding a new system app, if you have the app apk, you can just push it to /system/app using root explorer, set correct permissions and reboot. Cwm flashable zip is just an easy way.
Thanks for the replies. I've been pushing the Camera.apk into the app directory, but it wasn't working. I thought that the app itself may contain the drivers required; I didn't know it required an entirely different framework.
I'm running GingerMod right now, but unfortunately it is still sluggish compared to Cyanogen.
Can anyone recommend a camera app for Cyanogen, which is as close to stock as possible? Cyanogen's default camera unfortunately has a longer lag between pressing the shutter button and taking the picture, than the stock Samsung one.
Try Vignette, Camera 360 or lgCamera. They are pretty good. Sometimes I use them even instead of the stock app

[Q] Stock ICS Photo editor app... can it be ported to CM9?

I just pulled it out of the stock ICS leak and attempted to throw it into CM9... Installs fine, starts fine... But upon trying to choose or take a photo to edit, it force closes. I tried this as well with the version from the stock Gingerbread roms with the same result...
...Here is a link to the "Photoretouching.apk" in question...

Stock ASUS Camera app?

So I'm on a 4.2 JB ROM, and I don't like the stock 4.2 camera app. I really like that ICS 4.0 camera app. I looked at some ROMs that ran android 4.0 ICS and tried to look for the APK for the camera. couldnt find it. Also I tried installing the gallery.apk but it didnt work. I didn't try flashing it cuz there wasnt a .zip file to flash. I know theres Camera ICS but its not the same. Theres no options for focus modes etc
anyone know how how to download the stock ASUS camera app?

Is it possible to use OOS cam beauty mode on other ROMs?

Guys...I really need the OOS camera's beauty mode and it doesn't seem to work on any other ROM ...I use MoOS which is very outdated and unsupported right now..Please help me out

I haven't seen it functioning on anything but the stock rom yet. If you really need it you can probably find a hundred apps on the store for that at least.
