For UK buyers there's MobileFun.
They sell both types which are the correct one's for the Touch HD (not the badly fitted one's that you can find elsewhere).
See here for the cheaper HTC Touch Desktop CHarging Cradle.
See here for the dearer Deluxe HTC Touch HD Desktop Charging Cradle.
I have both.
Note: Both are much cheaper than Expansys.

my desktop cradle from ebay finally arrive today in a nice small box.

You may want to see the items bundle with the purchase.
i tested immediately by charging the battery and syncing the touch HD without any delay. I would say the cradle is nicely built. I tested the cradle by putting my touch HD in the silicon case and plug it in and it still fit nicely into the cradle and syncing as well. (I need some additional force to push it in due to the thickness of the silicon i have) But it will be effortless for me to sync the HD if i remove the silicon case.
No regrets buying the cradle. The only useless thing i feel is the pouch that came with it. Its simply too tight, Must tighter than the original touch HD pouch. I have a problem pushing the phone into it.
But in anyway the cradle is great!

no... i didnt got my silicon case from ebay. i got it locally. Its a clear type transparent silicon .
I had another leather pouch which i also switches around to use....
Can you plug in a standard adapter into the cradle? It looks like it uses a UK adapter to another adapter for that cradle..
What is the battery like that comes with it too? It seems quite a cheap price

As for the adapter, I did not use the one that is provided. I uses my old dopod 900 charging adapter instead. Its the same voltage and also uses USB.
The battery is 1350mAh. So far been using it on my phone and so far so good.
There's a coincidence - I ordered the exact same thing a week or so ago. Waiting on delivery at the moment, but I'm happy to see that there's another user that thinks it was worth it.
Could Anyone advise a model with audio out ?

could somebody please name the manufacturer of this cradle? I'm from Germany and I would be pleased not having to buy it from the UK. I didn't find anything similar in german shops yet.

I have both this case and the Deluxe one manufactured by Kidigi.com.
I can say that the case you mention does not have a manufacturers name, only HTC Touch HD.
I can say though that both cases are excellent.
i know its slightly off topic, but are the spare batteries sold on ebay with the cradles any good.. how long do they hold their charge?

Cases for Motorola Razr will fit the standard StarTrek very nicely - might be rather a snug fit for the 3125 extended battery cover.
I got a very nice leather one for about $10 I think.

You are probably searching for the wrong thing, and remember that this phone was sold under several names. So to find a replacement "housing" not case,on ebay.co.uk search for FULL HOUSING+KEYPAD FOR i-MATE SMARTFLIP and you should find Item number: 270351184604 which states more than 10 available priced at £20.49. IMO you cant go wrong the the Flexishield, buy one you wont regret it! I've seen cheaper alternativers around which I'm sure will meet ur needs but I'm a sucker for branding.

Its solid, so you don't feel the bulk when it moves around, unlike a silicon one.
And really not that thick at all

Quality is nice (got one with some loose stitchings, but seller sent me a new one right away), and they have a nice soft touch to them. Remind me a bit of the pouch you got with the HTC Touch. I guess I just like neoprene cases and pouches . And they're cheap hehe
Obviously the one I got has the Hero stick out just a little bit (check first link). For me no problem, only easier to get it out etc. Dimensions are very nice, it's a tight fit as it should be. I guess (but obviously don't know for sure) the second link will cover the whole Hero. But not on the sides there looking at the picture eh.
I have a clear flexi shield for everyday use and its pretty wicked. Protects the phone well and looks great .. even on the white phone.
I also have a foof pouch which is lambswool and not used that often.. its a bit posher

yes it does perfectly in my opinion. I will try to upload a picture for you as soon as I get home. Will put it in this same post.
I was looking at the invisibleSHIELD from zagg. it seems quite nice and protects the screen nicely as well. it obv wont protect it from dropping tho. anyone got this or know if it is worth it? i hate covers that go on to the fone. always makes them look huge. i wanna show off my hero

This is what I got from ebay, flip leather case with port access, manegtic stud and 2 sd card slot. Perfect for a movies goers like me. Hopefully this won't make the hero look bulky.

hmm but it seems like damage could still be done on the device. i was looking for something that protects all around though. however, if it was for me, then i do love those flip cases! you dont see that in america much! first time buying an international phone haha

Well I did not buy from that particular site but a very similar site called dealextreme. I got an android stick from there and it works petty nicely. I think egg also offer a magnetic charger too. One thing to note tho. It takes forever to the package to arrive. I got mine after a month but that really depends on your country of origin.
Will check out out dealextreme. Did you mean 'newegg" when you said egg? Neweggs doesn't ship internationally so its not an option for me.
