please any one help me in how to install fastboot rom 2.1 over normal 2.1 rom? i have tried out KDZ updater method but in this my phone goes to in download mode so please help me what should i do for that, or any other method for updating that rom?

I was Flashing the new WM6.1 Rom, and during the process, my computer shut down. OMG!!! Now, when I try to flash it again, it resets at 4%. I tried both the Russian ROM RUU_Oxygen_1.5.411.1_4.1.13.20_02.41.90_R_HTC_RUS_Ship.exe and the test ROM RUU_Oxygen_1.5.401.2_R3_4.1.13.28_02.67.90_HTC_EUR_Test.exe but to no avail. I can only get to the bootloader mode; therefore, I can't use the hspl.7z procedure.
I think what I need is an OFFICIAL WM5 ROM, so I can reflash my Oxygen. Please, somebody help me. It's a brand new phone I just ordered. Thank you very much.

I am trying to flash my Continuum with Froyo 2.2.2, and I am confused about the steps involved. Can someone please clarify?
1. Do I need to formally "root" the phone using SuperOneClick v2.1.1 before I flash ClockworkMod recovery?
2. Will just flashing CWM via these steps also take care of rooting, or do I need to formally root first?
3. There seem to be two different "update.zip" files for CWM. Which one should I use? ...

yes you do need to root your phone as i know to use a different recovery
no rooting has to be done seperately
and finally none of these 2 download you have included are a "complete" rom they are just updates

I have a xperia u and i was following a tutorial on how to install a custom rom. The problem is when i got to the cwm menu bit and i try to install rom from zip file it keepsy saying ''installing update...installation aborted''.
I absolutely need someone to help me asap please because i am so scared that my phone is messed up right now :S
