I tried everything to change the sliding tabs into the old 2.1 looking ones. I failed.

This is what i mean, they look 3D like, and with Swiftdroid they look just like to be plain, not 3D.
So i extracted the ones from Quarkx 2.1 rom, put them in framework-res.apk and put it via adb on my phone -> boot looping.
So, how can i put them on my phone and change the Lockscreen Tabs
Widgetlocker has the 2.1 style tabs

If you want ill make it for you with a update.zip because it sounds like you have permission problems.

You need to edit framework-res.apk inside rom you are currenty using. Copy tabs images from 2.1 framework-res.apk than open your framework-res.apk in Win-RAR or something like this program and paste images to replace it. Than just replace framework-res.apk
= Boot Loop too
OMG give me just framework-res.apk file inside your ROM ;]
here you are http://michabilbang.de/framework-res.apk
Use NinjaMorph and replace the desired files
Simple and easy !!!
You can get something like this
First try this:
Code:
http://www.multiupload.com/SO1CZAO12C
only when first will not work try this: (rename signed-framework-res.apk to framework-res.apk ;])
Code:
http://www.multiupload.com/NPPRC1Z6WB
first one worked, thx
but needed to increase system space a bit.
Code:
http://www.multiupload.com/9GV3N6UED0
For RC3, working for me.

So, i have changed some Pictures from the apk files.
I know, its not so difficult, but it seems a bit better.

framework-res.apk (Based on Kyrillo's Gingerbread Themes Apk, thx to him):
Download DialerTabActivity.apk
Download framework-res.apk
PS: Of course, you can use the files if you want Kyrillo. =)
Nice dialer, I`ll use it. Much more better visual look than stock one - good work.
themes as apk???does it require root or flash....
To use themed apk just move the apk files to /system/app with Root Explorer
"Gingerbread" themed:
Download...
This is the Dialer from the JPF, and should work with JPM, i haven't tested it out, but it should work.
Just replace the apk with the one in /system/app/
Close dialer before you do this, and after you have replaced the file, start the dialer

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134048
it's simple
we need someone to point the flashing file to the right direction.
then post it here or in the original thread and we can get the Sony Panorama app, i know alot of us have been missing the panorama feature on the camera app in CM7 and MIUI
I tried flashing with SGS I9000's zip but it did not work.
any one????????
I flashed this a few days ago....worka flawlessly! I'll upload the files in a few minutes.
First flash the zip file in CWM recovery, reboot.
http://db.tt/81c4dpy
Then install the apk as you would install most apk files, use any file manager.
http://db.tt/QoBWTJ4
I'm on CM7 Nightly 31....I'm not the original modifier, just thought it was cool so I kept the files
The UI is much nicer because it's transparent over the camera view. You can choose the direction of the picture, the slower you turn, the better the image quality will be. The pictures were larger, but I resized them.

I can't get this to work tryed twice will try a few other things
Is the app not installing?
Yea fixed permission and still nothing
Did the zip file flash without any hiccups?
the zip flash went smooth
then i got the other apk out of zip and put it on sd card
tried to install normally, did not work
tried putting it in system/apps and then installing, did not work
how did you install the app?
I simply opened it with file manager and it installed....maybe file permissions?
Works great thanks

Didn't come out transperent on SD1.9.1. But I only tried the Framework. Also I would try to get rid of the AT&T or T-Mobile banners in the notification tray. Would probably look really good. But other than that good stuff man. :-D

Having some trouble using the Email.apk. Any tips for pushing it to my system and getting it to actually work?
(I'm running SimpleStreak 1.2 with is an ODEX rom. Does this need a DEODEX rom?)
hello, you can push through self Email.apk app tools Link . I use version 2.0. just copy the email.apk in the imput folder ,then 27 in the menu (after connecting the streak of the PC) and then drag and drop the app in the window of the menĂ¹
The last link appears to be wrong, says phone, but downloads email...
Gonna try them now, thanks!

ok ,thanks
locate (or create) the following file and disable the read permissions
/data/data/com.cooliris.media/files/zzzzzz_lockscreen_wallpaper.jpg
(to locate/create and edit the above file permissions use a file manager app able to navigate the /data folder.
NOTE: Manual edit of files in /data folder require root permissions so the Andriod system must be rooted first
NOTE2: This trick works on Samsung Galaxy Y stock ROM, on which the system looks for the file zzzzzz_lockscreen_wallpaper.jpg located in /data/data/com.cooliris.media/files to be used as lockscreen wallpaper. Other ROMs might look for different filename and/or different location.)
That's it!

As side note I want to add that my first read about this topic was, about two weeks ago, a thread started by XDA member recognized contributor marcussmith2626 more than one year ago (How To Make The Lockscreen Transparent) which explains a more sophisticated way to get the lockscreen transparent and that might work on a variety of ROM and devices.
Then I accidentally discovered the above trick by my own (I forgot to set the permissions after replacing the jpg file) and I decided to share it here even though I don't know if anyone had posted the same trick before as comment at the marcussmith2626 thread or anywhere else in XDA or the Internet virtual space
wooooow,awesome:laugh:
thnx for rhis.as easy and as simple as it can ever beeee.so cooooool
nice trick
Thanks for your guide its very very easy =D
