Hi,can someone recommend me a ROM does have a great camera app and powerful enough to skip mkv video file.
In my current ROM ,I have crappy camera app and for example if I'm watching a video(mkv file) I try to skip to my preferred minute , it's only skip 30 sec forward.
Thanks.
Postscript:I forgot to mention that when I copy mkv file to my phone (It's in Portable Devices group) so I got this message :
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
One of the advantages of this phone is that he can run mkv file perfectly.Why I get this message?
Someone????
"camera app" has nothing to do with media playback. If you're referring to stock media player on the phone, you can try other media apps from market , "mVideoplayer" "moboplayer" "diceplayer" those three are pretty good.
As for skipping forward it might be video you're playing is poorly encoded , i see you trying to play 1080p video, HD videos will be more picky then SD when it comes to playback.
But why I keep getting this message?

Go to Settings -> Applications -> Development and enable USB debugging. Then, connect your phone to your computer, pull down the notifications panel, and select USB mass storage. Click "Turn on USB mass storage", and your phone should now be mounted as a mass storage device. You can now freely copy the file you wanted to your phone.

I love Google Music but it's sideloading downloaded podcasts from BeyondPod and including them in the shuffle. Does anyone know how to stop this?
Thanks.
If I'm correct, Google Music uploads music from folders you specify on your computer. If you don't include the folder for your podcasts, it won't be uploaded.
No, I wish it were that simple. http://support.google.com/androidmarket/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1250234Their help says :
By default,the Music application stores music files in the Music folder at the root of its file system,but it will also find your music files anywhere you put them on your device, except the Ringtones folder.
So it's playing podcasts from BeyondPod that aren't in the Music directory and including them when I shuffle all. I'm hoping someone knows if there's a way to stop this.
In your taskbar on your PC, double-click Music Manager. If you don't see the headphones icon in there, click start menu, all programs, music manager.
You should see a window like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Click Choose by playlist, and remove the check next to any playlists you don't want to be uploaded. Hit Apply, and OK.

Mine has nothing checked. Thanks for trying.
Sitting watching a recorded TV show last night which was streaming from a hard drive i have connected to my Xbox360 when suddenly it cut off and another video started to play. Turned out my step son was messing about with his new Note 10.1 tablet and had clicked on the icon to share the video. I have been trying to get this feature to work on my S3 for ages but it doesnt work. I have ensured file share etc is all set up, set to share pics, music and movies. I get the option to scan for devices and select both my xbox and my Panasonic TV that is connected to my WIFI network, one point here is that i can place a tick in the boxes for the various devices but there is no save option, i have to back out from the selection screen. When i go back in later the ticks are no longer there so i am not sure if they are saved. Anyway this is really bugging me as i hate being beat with things like this. I have read loads of postings and i know lots of people have this feature and it "just worked". Has anyone had problems getting it to work and found some step i am perhaps overlooking. Any help appreciated.
I assume you tried it via settings/other settings/dlna?

I'm using BubbleUPnP, found that it's a lot better than the default functionality.

Ok it now gets weird. I installed Bubbleupnp and it worked well. Then found that even without it running that the files on my phone will now do what it should as far as streaming goes. If i go to a video, song or pic, the icon now appears on phone screen to stream directly to TV via xbox 360. Cheers for the help.

Sticky note? Note app? Still use these outdated apps? Well-designed voice memos bring you the most convenient way to take note. When you come up with a good idea, record it. Play it with progress slider, you can jump to anywhere you want. Save to the media library, and then you can transfer it to your PC. And with the TRIMMER, you can cut it easily! Voice memos isn’t just a recorded app. Download it and enjoy it!
warning:
512MB RAM users(620,720 etc.)don’t use the trimmer after long time recording, to avoid crashing, you need to restart the app(fully closed and reopen it), then use the trimmer.
Features
1. Support trim the audio, the trimmer is easy to use.
2. Support long time recording (automatically divided into several memos every 20 minutes).
3. Support recording under lock screen!

Sorry but thread closed. You may link to a paid app but only in the same post where you are providing a free version for xda members.
I downloaded MirrorEnabler.apk here in XDA and installed it and seems it is not compatible to our rooted HAM2, anyone able to make it work, share the L.
In the meantime I found a way to cast any video to Chromecast from our HAM2's browser.
First we need to download 2 apps (both are free):
-Firefox
-vCast
Now using the Firefox browser look for any video flash or mp4 as long at it plays on the Firefox browser it can be cast to Chromecast:
Like this one:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then play the video:
Then while video is playing, touch and hold the video:
After that this menu will pop up and touch the one I pointed:
Before choosing vCast make sure your TV is on and is on the Chromecast :
let the video plays a bit on vCast then you can exit or pause the video that is playing on your Firefox browser, remember we played it a while ago. After that when the video is on your chromecast you can turn off firefox or exit it.
For some reason sometimes I tried exiting vCast it still plays on the chromecast, some times it doesn't.
By the way make sure you go to settings>power saving>protected apps>put a shade on the circle beside the vCast app.
I am still testing this so if you found a bug let me know so I can edit the guide.

I have a strange problem with Google Photos. I am user of Xiaomi Mi Note 10 with MIUI12 and Android 10. Whole software is up to date.
On 27.10 i tried to take a photo but my camera app crashed. In a result picture have been created which looked deformed. I deleted it using my stock Gallery app. From there and from my file manager everything looks normal. Unfortunately when i open GP i can see "black photo" with corresponding date and time to this crash.

Moreover the path related to picture simply do not exist and picture have 0B. I don't have external sd card and path to my dcim folder is with 0 inside it not 999.
The issue is I am not able to delete this picture in any know to me method. Simply clicking on trash icon GP ask for permistion to sdcard (which do not exist). Anyway i gave it and nothing happened. Button move to archive also don't work, it simply says it cannot be done.
What really annoys me is fact that it constaly trying to synchronize it to my accout.
What i did so far:
-stop the app
-remove all it's data
-reinstall
After reinstalling i noticed one thing until i won't resume synchronization the file do not exist but shorty after resuming it pop up again...
I can also add that i tried to find it in on my phone without succes and it is not visible on others synchronized devices.
Any advices how to get rid of it?
