Hi everyone,
I just bought an X10 device, and the market I got in it is version 2.09. I've tried to let it opened for up to half an hour but when I shut it down and re-opened, the market was still version 2.09 (the wifi I got was very good, so I think it was not a matter of signals)
I also tried some apk files of Market version 2.3.6 but I cannot install it (got the problem of Parse error)
Is there anyone being able to help me with this weird matter?
Thanks a lot in advance

Hi.
A friend of mine has just upgraded his Galaxy Ace through Kies to latest firmware (2.3.4) and now it cant connect to Wifi with hidden SSID, it keeps "Getting IP Address" and then just disconnect and put the SSID a Remembered, out of range, has anybody experienced the same issue? It didnt has this problem with froyo, I already wiped data and cache from recovery and the issue stays the same.
Just FYI, its a Latin Ace (specifically, from Mexico).
And the Hidden Wifi Network is working without issues with my Milestone 2, Xperia Mini Pro, LG Optimus One and Optimus ME.
Hope somebody could help.

Didn't even know u could update to 2.3.4 through kies, I thought 2.3.3. Was the official firmware from samsung
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA App
Actually, this is the version of my friend's Ace:
Android Version: 2.3.4
BaseBand: S5830LUMKA1
Kernel: [email protected] #1
GINGERBREAD.UMKP3
And yes, it was upgraded from Kies.
So, anybody has this problem? I already tried wipe data and cache from stock recovery and the issue persists.
Do you know of some rom or firmware that can connect to hidden wifi networks? Hope somebody could help, i know almost nothing about the Ace, but i have experience flashing custom roms on other devices (Dext, Milestone 2, Optimus One, Xperia Mini Pro XD).

HI Currently my Photon is in 2.3.5 version.
I have rooted and unlocked the Bootloader also but I faced one big problem in installing CM9 and CM10.
If I upgrade from 2.3.5 to Cm9 (4.0) or Cm10 (4.1).. then the phone works fine but the main thing "IMEI, Serial Number, Phone Number, Network" and many phone related info are showing "unknown" ...... So i rollbacked to 2.3.5 now the phone is in normal.....
Same like If i downgrade to older version from 2.3.5 to 2.3.4 then also the same problem which is raised in the CM9 or Cm10 upgrades.
I'm totally Confused ... now only 2.3.5 is binded to my mobile no other way to upgrade it seems... Only way is to wait for Official update,... But i don't think i'll get Official.....
Note: My photon using in India... GSM mobile network is (AIRTEL)
So please some one help me to upgrade my Photon .............. pls
Dear all
I have just received an Android phone from china. The commercial model F1658
The phone model is KYX-909 and the build number is C909-KYX-F1658_EN_V03
The phone on the web is showing as an android 2.3 and also 4.0. I have received the 4.0 version however the GSM part does not work. No carrier can be recognized and the problem is not on the SIM card.
I have rooted the phone, installed windows drivers and also the ROM manager. Based on the information I have read, the problem might be on the baseband and might be related to the OS upgrade from the vendor.
Is there anything I can do to fix the baseband?
Do anyone have a proper OS image I can dump into the phone? WIll it fix the problem?
Thanks and Regards
Alejandro
