Anybody up for the task to port over the droid 3's ui on to the atrix ill help if needed.

Gingerbread for the Atrix is out Officially. That has the same UI as the Droid 3 unless you mean the effects that it has and the different widgets?

If you don't know what you're talking about and you're going to say our ui and the droid 3 ui is the same get off the thread because you're wrong and should really investigate before you open your mouth, now if anybody has some helpful advice go ahead and post.
people need to open there eyes or something xD the ui is different, it is more fluid from what i could see. different app drawer (it scrolls side to side) different lock screen. etc. different widgets as well.

Lol, my bad. I watched a diff. video and it was the exact same as ours. Calm down. The droid 3 does have a modified launcher, too. But from what i saw thats the only thing different....if we can port over the launcher, youll have that. Idk about the lockscreen though. That may be a little hard to port.
Edit: oh, and the widgets, too

its a pseudo rom not a full fledge rom but tweaks and a full theme meaning not just the launcher but the ins and outs are themed as well with this it wont be so difficult but some things are proving to be

OHHH lol. Im tired i guess i didnt really study it enough, im used to there being a hyphen in there lol. Sorry, but yeah if you could, that would be cool. It seems like porting the lockscreen would be somewhat tough though.

Thanks to untermensch. This is a port of his original mod for the Vibrant.
I updated the reboot options to work with DJ05. The first attachment is just the reboot mod. The second attachment includes both the reboot and accurate battery mods.
These will only work if you have DJ05 installed (you would know if you did).
Hahaha, I love how we have mods for DJ on XDA before the actual update. Just a Tad messed up.

Oh don't get me wrong, I understand why it hasn't been released yet. I just think it's a little messed to post all these themes and mods for something a lot of people don't have. It's like, "Here, have this spoon. It's made to go perfectly with Cap'n Crunch. Oh you don't have any CC? Damn, that sucks bro."

It's less than ideal. However, anyone who wants DJ05 can get it. They just have to go elsewhere to get it.

LOL. I feel like the heavy hint dropping on this forum pretty much guarantees that anyone who wants 05 can get it, but by making it slightly more difficult than clicking a link it takes out the stupidest 30%. By making those who want it go to the best place to get help, that further slims down the number of "I don't know what I did nor what I was doing, but my phone doesn't work right anymore and I can't be bothered to search for a fix" threads. The only other way I can think of to do the same thing would be to require people to use adb to install the update, so at least they learn some basic tool use in the process.
That being said, I'm still on 01 and have no intention of upgrading until I see a theme/ROM combo that I fall in love with.

Make a file labeled "enable_glass_lock" and place in data/local. Puzzle lock will available immediately thereafter.

I am kinda digging the analog style (for now anyways )

I've been running Warm 2.2 for AOSP on my Hero. I would rather see the ROM, but if worse comes to worst I wouldn't mind seeing the theme ported.
I also like the look of the Tangerine theme for CM6. I believe I saw that on the G2 forum.

I am going to try and get my feet wet with development. I agree Warm. 2.2 is great I've run it a few times on the EVO. I'll see what I can see.
the only problem i think is that warm 2.2 is so heavily themed that it slows down the device. i tried it out on my evo and it definitely felt slower
i've had some experience themeing, ill help with a port or if there is an abundance of requests ill pick one up from here.... but i too wanna get into development.
I don't know if this would be a theme or not. How about something (I prefer) completely stock except for one thing; increase the font size by maybe two points from what it is now. I'm a blind old fart that needs to get examined for a new prescription for contacts and glasses. Hee hee

Again, I don't know if this is a theme either. How about all the main stock apps and related that are black on white to inverted white on black. A dark theme. Hell, I'd even like a black and white dark theme with no colors. Some might think that to be dumb or boring but I would like it at least. It doesn't need eye candy either. Conservative black and white on the stock theme.
I may be wrong but I think the less eye candy and animations, the snappier the os/gui might be. Give them cpu cycles to a program that needs it.

It might slow it down a bit but not enough to matter in my opinion, I lovvvved the theme, really appealing compared to all others I came by....Myns is definitely one I would love to see if not the whole Rom ported.
Oh and you could always turn the animations off, I always did...I liked the look, so not having animations on transitions didn't really bother me.

This isn't honeycomb, judging from the lock screen, the menus, and the small gap between the bottom bar and the bottom.
Still, it IS android, most likely the Chomper version, and pretty cool.

don't mislead people, this is not honeycomb... a fact before anything else.
This is just the android ipk launcher (Screen tears happen on that) with a launcher...probably go launcher by the looks of things.

Guys this is the honeycomb launcher made by IntelSoft Apps.....not a honeycomb build. It looks exactly the same on any phone or tablet. Thats why colors are off, and the gap between the bottom and status bar. Notice that if you click on an app inside of it, the status bar is no longer there. Dont believe me, then try it out for yourself.

It's cool, man. I'll explain.
I have been making a Mod of Chomper's Android ipk that is much larger img file, and has gapps, and uses a Honeycomb Launcher to give it a more "tablety" feel to it. As a teaser, I posted a very obvious troll vid that shows what appeared to be REAL Honeycomb on the Touchpad. Most people realized that it wasn't true, others thought it was a joke, and some people mailed me severed heads and shot my dog. Either way, I have EXPOSED the truth now, and everyone can rest easy knowing that I am working on something legitimate and not just an ass.
Well, I'm still an ass, but I have something worthwhile to contribute too!
I've been a faithful user of adw and go launcher since the original Evo. I've been using ss launder the last week and it Really is a great launcher and it's free. Updated twice also. Give it A try it's different and cool imo

SS Launcher is pretty cool. There are a lot of things I like about it but overall it still feels a little bit clumsy to configure. Scrolling through contacts is crazy laggy too and not an issue on Sense or any other launcher I have tried.

gave it a shot... it's different and slick, just not my flavor. good lookin, though. i am a fan of launchers because they give you that customization aspect we all love in android.

Sprintuser can be a douche sometimes but this is actually a good post. It can be used on the many AOSP roms we have for the 3D. He's been pretty cool lately, as a matter of fact

It is really nice but a bit laggy for me in the app screen. Looks to copy maybe windows phone 7 in a way I guess.
Hey I would really love to be able to draw my lockscreen pattern in the "water" that first appears in the lockscreen...preferably without there being any sign of pattern needed, i.e no 9 circles
This would look lovely and I cant imagine it being an impossible task for one of the many talented devs out there

Yeh but I think whoever achieves it would be bombarded with donations as the final product if done correctly would look stunning (and would be hillarious as you watch people epically fail to get into your phone and be like...WTF haha
I too dont see how CM9 would change anything as at the end of the day it is a lockscreen like you say

I want this too, only reason my phone hasn't got a secure lockscreen is because i love the ripple effect, they both need to be incorparated somehow
