As the Tittle suggests ,all of the members are now required to ask common questions about Noejn's Rom [void. #Forever].
This will Reduce some stress to Noejn for Reading 10 to 20 pages each time.
Current Release :
(syntax: r[2010-year].[month].[day])
* r1.6.15
first release
Some Features :
* CM7 core (compiled from mik's sources)
* FrancoKernel v17 BFS (pre-release v17 version, the released v17 is different, flash it!)
* Some tweaks @ CM7 source (ex: libsqlite patched and recompiled)
* Default settings changed @ CM7 source (overscroll, lense lksc, cclabel, cmbat)
* Build.prop tweaks / GPS tweaks / Browser tweaks / Patched hosts
* Strict Minfree Handler tweak / Auto-Zipalign tweak / ZRAM tweak
* Zeam launcher / GB keyboard / void. boot "inanimation" / Smartass Default
* Didn't have enough time to test different EGL tweaks
Some important Notes to Remember before asking Questions
* If you don't reboot to recovery and flash the -addon, you will crash when trying to create a google account.
* After flashing the -addon, before the market appears on the applications drawer, you'll need to sign in on your google account.
* After flashing the -addon, do not sign in on your google account, press skip and add later or you may run into a "slide keyboard open" error
* You might get an error for google calendar sync but it will be gone as soon as you flash the calendar app.
* GSM works but during my beta-tests I didn't use one so ignore the screenshot.
* DarkTremors mod has some issues[Even though beta02 is working], try ungaze's data2sd or link2sd.
* Last and not least, don't beg for applications, use the market or ask around
Some Known Isuues :
* void. specific: the powermenu glitches a bit with the lockscreen, just long-press power off button and it will be fine.
* Market will not be visible unless you add a google account.
Special Thanks to Noejn for This Great Rom and Approvement of this thread.

I think Nobody is having any problems or queries on void ..
Am i Right ??
My Problems ..
*. Sometimes Unusual Battery Drain.
*. Notification Bar Fluctuations.
More will be noticed soon.
What exactly is meant by 'powermenu glitches the lockscreen'?

In a stock or 2.2.x rom ,when you press the power button on a single press ,the power menu appears.
But in void you need to press continuously for not less than 2 sec ,then only power menu appears ,otherwise lock screen.
Is it understandable.

Remove the percentage battery icon notification from CM settings and the flickering is fixed.
So is this the place where I could finally get my answer wrt licensing of the original parts of the code in the ROM? Or is this one going to vanish as well after this question is asked?

Pardon me, but this is not how it works. You publish something -> you publish the license with it. You do not ask people to email/PM/call/whatever you about license. There is nothing secret about this.
Not to mention that two threads have already been deleted here due to this issue yet we still cannot get the answer to a pretty simple question.
What is the notification bar flicker issue? Can anyone explain in detail? I'm facing an issue where the colour of the battery, signal icons change from the default green to white. It happens randomly. Is this the one you guys are talking about?

You need not worry about battery drain on this ROM... battery backup is great. With heavy usage you can get almost a whole day of battery backup. By heavy, I mean lot of calls, texts, music, live wallpapers, browsing, etc. But be sure to wipe battery stats before installing the ROM and additionally you can use apps like "Battery Calibration" to calibrate your battery whenever you feel that it is not showing the real battery values.

But one last question, noejn says that is not good to use app2sd from darktremor, why? I love this tweak, I always use it. Data2sd is similar? the same result? I remember one time I tried it and didnt like. Prefer app2sd
And, should I flash something like Zram or ZCACHE ?thanks a lot
Hi guys, I've been trying to turn backlight off with some Market Apps to save battery in the day, also I tried to set the the Cyanogen options in the backlight seccion but I'm afraid that I didn't understand at all how to do it, so I'm looking for a "Backlight Switch App" that works on Cyano Revolution Rom, or if somebody knows how to set the Cyanogen options would be better.
So here are the magic words "Please and Thanks".

Hello everybody..
After Bravia Engine now we also have the new xLoud engine available to 2.3.3!
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
To test just do this.
Play any song, without xLoud engine active and when playing turns xLoud engine ON, you will hear the difference!
Installation: flash the package via xrecovery
Download V2
http://www.multiupload.com/091CTY7NDW
After installing manually fix the permissions by xrecovery!
old version v1http://www.multiupload.com/Q1SW45B020
Know issues - Volume configuration on alarm FC.
Little UI bug on Settings.apk on running processes.
For all about the power control widget.
This widget is not suported by Arc, to use the xLoud engine we use Arc "parts" so this is not suported.
Thanks for marcoplo and my immortal for finding the files.

I just switched to Miui, and battery isn't that great so, does anyone know a better kernel for Miui!? Please help! Thanks.
Sent from my T959 using xda premium
Now, the MIUI rom itself comes in many varieties. From what I hear the Prime or Lithium versions of MIUI preserve battery better then stock MIUI or MIUI.us.
Kernel wise however Bali-CM 2.2.2 and Glitch v13 are your best bet. Personally I use Glitch because it is much more stable, smoother, and faster then Bali. Plus Bali is no longer being updated while Glitch is still in development. Still you should try out both and see which suits your personal taste best.
Also, remember to undervolt (in SetCPU), as that should further increase battery life without loss of performance. "Screen off" profiles in overclock apps like SetCPU also help in battery conservation.
Another thing. Don't forget that our Vibrant's screens are huge power drainers. Keeping it on a lower brightness level helps save a lot of battery.
An app that really helps battery life is called Juice Defender Plus. You should try it out! Here's an overview of the app posted by "Woodrube" (he helped me get more out of my battery life with his awesome battery wisdom) that should help you get started...
Woodrube said:
This is how the JD Plus works (no need for JD Ultimate b/c we don't have many of the functions it supports. I just copied this from another thread the OP started awhile ago and I was trying to helps him out there.
If you set it to custom, the go into the settings tab on the right and then all the way at the bottom, there is two buttons to push, The first in Interactive which will pull up Juice Defender for up for any app that isn't already configured and the other is Configure Apps. This is the one that you can customize on an app-to-app basis where if you are no using an app and the screen is locked, it kills the radio/data traffic for that app.
Say you are listening to IHeartRadio, this you would want either Enable or Enable/off (which means the screen will be locked but the radio/data will be working). Now take the browser. It you are not using the browser, then you don't need it transmitting data right? So you would set that one to Enable (which means that it will only enable data traffic when that app is being used).
Juice Defender only works when the screen is locked, don't forget and all widgets are battery drains b/c all they really are is a monitoring app and if it is tied to something like FB or G+, then that data will be running constantly.
Examples:
Gmail = Enable (not enable/off b/c then it will keep your radio/data open)
Beautiful Widgets = Enable/off
mClock/Clockr = Enable/off
Angry Birds = Disable (with this and something like Adfree, no more ads in Angry Birds even though the ads are embedded in the .apk)
SMS/MMS = Enable or Do Nothing (why would you push disable)
Enable = Radio/data on when app is in use (front)
Enable/off = Radio/data on for background apps (when screen is locked)
Disable = Disables radio/data traffic completely when that app is running
Do Nothing = What is says.
I have been using JD+ for over a year on 3 different phones and have noticed a considerable difference in battery life, even on a crappy Motorola phone. Just takes some time to figure out YOUR settings and what YOU like. I have also used it on Stock kernel and had no problems either.
---
Under status I have Profile>Customize (this one lets you configure your apps) Notification> Text
Under settings I have
Mobile and Wifi are both set to Enable,
Options>Auto Disable,
Location>disable,
Schedule>Enable:frequency>1h,
Night>Enable :12am6am (b/c I am asleep but if I am on, user takes priority),
Apps>Enable;
Configure>Interactive.

Hey dude, which one should I pick from high leakage, medium leakage, or low leakage!? And what's the difference!?
Sent from my T959 using xda premium
Here is what it means straight from the OP of the Glitch thread...
4)What is Leakage (LL,ML,HL) and what one should i use?
Easy explanation: start with HL. If it allows you to OC how much you want, stay there. If not, move down until you get what you want.
For people who want more: Well, we made different leakages because koflem couldn’t OC, and he felt left out, so he started compiling on his own, which gave Tk-Glitch the idea to make three different versions. They have to do with the differences in different phones. Take for example different phones run better with different OC/UV. The leakages are the same way. They adjust the int voltages, which is something not configureable (yet) in userspace, so we have to configure them that way when we build. That way both the voltages that you are used to (the ones controllable via voltage control) are tailored to your device, as is the int voltages (the ones only we can do). Most people have no idea, but there are dozens of variables that we play with to make so that all of you can OC and UV as much as possible with as much stability as possible. Some aren't device specific, some are. We are trying to make the best experience possible for a wide range in chip quality, therefore we make different leakages, as well as making the kernel configurable via voltage control. From a stability/performance standpoint, and by extension standpoint, there is only one leakage right for your device. Different leakages aren't better in some ways for you and worse in others, there is only one good one for your device. Sorry if that didn't make sense, I tried to make it as informative as possible without it being overwhelming.

Now, first of all make sure you install v13 not v12 of Glitch. Here's a link to v13. To change the leakage in v13 do as follows...
-Boot into Recovery
-Go down to "Glitch" and select it
-Go to the Leakage section and select it
-You should be presented with High, Medium, Low
-Choose which leakage you want and reboot
If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
Alright, I flash this kernel like I flash any other kernel right? And what are the differences between high, low and medium?
Sent from my T959 using xda premium
Flash like a normal kernel, yes.
To be straight out honest I'm not 100% positive on the differences. But from my understanding High leakage works on most Vibrants, while Low works on the few better made phones. Just start with high then try medium (which is what I use). Most likely you won't be stable on low, however, if you're stable on medium then move down to low. The more detailed answer is already posted above.
These are great suggestions but for me personally my phone won't go into deep sleep after a charge unless I reboot it, so just rebooting my phone every morning gets me to about 18 hours on a charge

Radio-usage are all the stuff when the handset transmits something or recieve something
- Cell-tower-communication 2G/3G/Data (sometimes with bad connection, or too few cell-towers, 3G uses more battery because it keeps trying to find a new and better cell-tower)
- WIFI
- Bluetooth
- And also FM-radio (Radio-apk) (try to play mp3-music for as long as it can, and then try the same with FM-radio - my guess is, that it uses more battery to listen to FM-radio)
just to notice
i have been in the Philippines now since 2nd May, and only charging 1 time.
I know they have got 3G because it's possible to have unlimited internet on the handset for a monthly fixed price, but I have not updated connection settings. I think I am only using 2G.
also every day I use some wifi arond the mansion.
some should try to find a way so 3G does not use that much power. I know it has something to do with 3G constantly trying to find a better cell-tower.
EDIT: using local provider Globe SIM-card
thanks for the useful information
