So I had a restore point on my TMo Stock rom created using the Clockworkmod recovery. I tried to update to Axura 2.1 from 2.0.5 today and the update messed up halfway. I'm going to take a wild guess it's my horrible mac book pro's wrong doing, faulty download (I'm a mac hater, it's a company issue device). Anyway, my phone is basically stuck at recovery and I have to wait till I head home to use the USB Cable and redownload the rom.
So my questions:
1. Is there no way to access the external SD Card? So I thought of copying a new download of the rom to the external SD, but all I can access is the internal SD card contents when installing zip from sd card. I tried to mount ext-sd (or sd-ext?) and it fails.
2. I tried restoring to the restore I created when I had my stock rom. It seems to go through it but then it just goes back to the recovery after reboot?
3. When I go home, how do I copy the files to the internal SD Card? For some reason, I don't think it's as easy as pluggin the usb cable to the phone while in Recovery mode?
Help would be appreciated.
hello ,
my vibrant cant booting if i remove my ex sdcard even i odin rom with out its the same
can any one help plz
Sounds like you have moved a critical system file to the external card. Are you able to boot with a different external card?
If not then you probably moved a critical system file (using a utility like titanium backup?) on the external card.
no i cant boot if i insert another sd but if i odin with it its fine
I stand by my earlier statement then. You probably have moved a critical startup file to the external SD card. You can boot with the card cause the file system can access it. You can't boot with a different card cause that file is not on the card. You can ODIN because the hardware on your phone is working properly.
The way I see it you have two solutions:
1) ODIN to stock (or whatever other firmware you use)
2) Figure out which file you moved from the internal SD card and move it back to its original place.

Sounds like something went wrong when you used ODIN.
You may want to try to download AIO vibrant. It has a step by step, virtually foolproof to get you back up and running.
I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 wifi only and am looking at putting a custom rom on it but they advise people to put it on the SD card and run the rom from there but there is no slot for an SD card? Am I not seeing the slot or are people purchasing the adapter. If they are getting an adapter which one is recommended?
They just mean to use the inbuilt storage, you'll need to copy the Rom you want to flash to your tablet from your pc then turn it off boot into recovery and flash the Rom
there's loadsa guides on here about doing this and most devs (all devs really) post flashing instructions on their Rom threads
ah..ok that makes more sense now.
Good day all. I have a rooted Sprint Galaxy Note 3 on the stock ROM and also still on the stock Recovery. I am trying to find out if and how to use my 64GB microSD as internal storage. I had the Galaxy Note II prior to this phone and I remember having this done through a script that I ran with Smanager. That method doesn't seem to work on this phone...any suggestions or methods that I can use/try without needing a custom recovery? The microSD card is in the original format (exFAT?) it came out of the box with (I just put it in and it worked SANDISK ULTRA) Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
You could try this, but there's no promise it will work or won't muck something up. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285221
I have a M919V Galaxy S4 which is compatible with both the i9505 roms and M919 (TMO) roms. I was on a i9505 TW rom and I decided to download a rom from the TMO section. When moving from a i9505 rom to a M919 rom, I had to flash the recovery corresponding to the model. So I downloaded the T-Mobile version of Philz Recovery, but I got a status 7 error. Then I downloaded the md5 version and flashed it via odin 3.07. It was successful. After flashing the recovery, I flashed Beanstalk rom for the t-mobile variant. Everything went fine until I tried to make a nandroid of my current setup for Beanstalk. I kept getting errors. When I plug my phone in (with my sd card), and try to add or delete something, it says "remove write protection and try again". So I tried connecting my sd card to my sd card adapter. When I delete files from my adapter, the error message doesn't show up. BUT... after disconnecting and reconnecting it again, the files are back where they were. I tried reformatting it but nothing happens. It seems like my sd card is only read as write protected when connected to my phone but it has no idea which state it's in when connected to the sd card adapter.
I don't know if the problem started with odin or when I flashed the rom but can anyone please tell me what's going on with my sd card?
Anyone?
i have the same problem, 64GB sandisk, now write protected... need a solution
i see u got a funny problem  . when you connect sd card to adaptor, do u check unread only in his property? after format, all file has been recovered or just some file?
i have the same problem, 64GB sandisk, now write protected.
