tried to root and flash rom on vibrant but i am now completely lost ! can someone help me restoring it back ?
im currently on voodoo lagfix not really familiar with this, i own a mytouch 4g and rootong it was way easier
Vibrant is probably one of the easiest Android devices to root and develop. You've seen nothing yet
Anyway, use this to root and go back to stock. Doesn't get any simpler really.
EDIT: More about rooting and developing here. Step by step guide.
why did u open another thread? u could of had ur question answered in ur original im in trouble thread....

Orange UK OTA gingerbread upgrade questions

Hello all
I've had a bit of a search and can't see my questions being answered, if they have sorry point me to the posts.
1: Are there any obvious drawbacks to updating using OTA rather than the other ways? The phone is still in warranty and I know 3rd party builds may invalidate it.
2: If I update to Ginger bread OTA do i need to unroot froyo first?
3: After update can I still root the phone and use a Webtop hack
I think that's about it.
Thanks for any help
Jonnym
To part answer my own post. I did unroot.
I found that rerooting was fairly easy.
Im yet to try webtop hack.
Hope that helps someone out there

HTC Inc S Revert back from ICS to GB without rooting, or with rooting if it is a must

Hi Guys,
I have updated my HTC Incredible S to ICS from GB and it is a disaster. I would like to revert back to GB but after reading many forums and articles, I can't seem to get a complete picture on how to revert without rooting, or with rooting if it is a must. I read there are many concerns like HBOOT, Baseband versions, Kernels, etc... I know NOTHING about all those concerns. I am a complete dummy on Android.
I would appreaciate if someone expert can show me in detailed steps on how to:-
(a) Revert back from ICS to GB without rooting
(b) If (a) is NOT possible, please advise steps to root and then install back to GB :fingers-crossed:
I have been Google'ing and reading until I almost go crazy. I really need help!!! :crying::crying::crying:
Please feel free to clarify with me should you need further information from me so that you can help me perfectly. THANK YOU VERY MUCH in advance!!!

[Q] rooting and rom questions

hello guys i just got another galaxy note and i want to root it and put a custom rom on it and over clock it. the questions are what is the smoothest running rom that really unlocks what you can do with the phone and lets you customize it the most but yet still makes it faster and less laggy. and the second question is. is there anyone here that could help me by doing a screen share and do the rooting and install the rom for me cuz im really no good with this stuff as i soft bricked my last phone trying to do this and i really dont wanna do it again but would like to root my phone could someone please help me thanks
If you can't root and you can't install a ROM then I suggest you stay stock. Rooting will only allow you to do things that you can't and are afraid to do anyways.
As far as ROM preference that is up to you. Read the forum and decide for yourself.
Easiest way to root is here:

Have root unroot android question. Which forum please

Sorry, but just not sure which forum to post my question in. Running a LG P769 phone with t-mobile OS. want to at least eliminate biggest room hogs which include t-mobile system apps and some I put in which now won't go fully away.
Need to get advice on the hopefully simplest root unroot method to employ.
Thanks for listening and for your help. Jim
Root unroot question. Which forum to use?
