1% battery fix on gingerbread - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I remember reading a few mods on how to get a one percent readout vs the ten the ATRIX offers. Im running the leaked ota rooted and unlocked.
And has anyone figured out how to fix the jumping battery bug yet?

Look in the development thread there are several posts for the fix as well as some roms that incorporate it into it.

So far the biggest complaints that I've seen is the screen transitions, and the lower Quadrant scores...

Gingerbread with motoblur

Just wondering what's the best gingerbread rom around that still has blur on it. I've been on Turl's CM9 since it came out and now im going to give my phone to my sister and she wants it the way official Moto rom looks like.
Any help will be very appreciated. Thanks

You shut your mouth.
Think Celtics can pull game 7 off?

I think nottachtrix is by far the most complete, but the battery life, for european users at least, isn't its best element.

thanks for all the responses guys .... I'm trying NottachTrix and so far it looks promising .... battery life seems ok but I will know more about that in a couple of days once it has gone through a couple of cycles.

What to do now

I've flashed peetr_s hybrid ROM and the ICS theme. I'm on locked bootloader so what now. What else can I do to this mopho.

Well what exactly do you want to do?

I'm not sure what my options are. I'm on locked bootloader. I'm open to any suggestions.

Your options are limited, but there's a lot you can do. You can load any blur based rom and tweak the system settings to get more out of your phone than was available under stock. A good resource for you is the photon compendium by Lokifishmars:

There's a lot for you there even on a locked bootloader.

I'm still a noob at this so I'm sorry for the questions. I've read throught that thread but I don't see anything. I did get another theme from there but if you don't mind what kind of tweaks are you talking about?

There are some awesome webtop hacks there, my favorite being the one that lets you use webtop with a hdmi cable in place of the dock
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20331690
And there are others. You might want to also try looking around in the Atrix forums for other tweaks. I'm pretty sure that a lot of them will work for our devices. Use google to search instead of XDA's search. It works a lot better, especially if you don't know what precisely it is that you're looking for.

[Q]Photon ROM with working 4G?

Hello everyone,
First off I'd like to say that I'm a big fan of the site and have been referencing it ever since i got my HTC EVO years ago. You guys rock!
The reason I'm here is because I have a Motorola Photon currently running CM9 with Jelly Bean. I like it, however I don't like having to tether with 3g speeds when I know something faster is out there.
So my main question is: Have there been any ROMs (Jellybean or otherwise) that allow for 4g usage? If so, could you direct to where I could find them?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out.

That thread seems a bit dated now. I am on 198_7. Can I pick any custom rom and lock the bootloader to gain 4g?
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
No. Custom ROMs (ics, jb, etc.) use custom kernels, which are not supported on a locked bootloader. Sorry.

Screen on time JB

Anyone know of an app that shows the exact screen on time for jelly bean like how it used to be displayed in previous android versions? I found one a while ago but I can't seem to find it again.

I think gsam battery monitor will give you the screen on times. Or flash one of the aosp Roms and it will be in the settings. Not sure why htc took it out.

Yeah I seen that in a couple aosp roms. I always ditch them tho because I don't have great battery life on them and my radios act slower. There was an app that literally replicated the regular screen on time thing.

better battery stats:

Awesome, thanks. Both apps served there purpose, was looking for more of that classic look though. What a crock. One particular flash of BlackCM had me geeting four plus hours of screen time. Ever since i switched from that rom that has not been happening at all lol.
Check this out¡
