Is there a way for market on our mini's to show apps with bigger resolution? For 2.1 there used to be patched market version which i used and thanks to that i installed Worms which worked perfectly. But now after installing CM7 even when i have them paid i cant see them.
Or some bypass for downloading even incompatible apps from web version of market?
Raise this question again when it's not have been answered.
I think I have about the same problem, when I can't download certain apps from Market and I think it is because of the screen size.
I run MiniCM7 Pro v16 which is Android version 2.3.6, but cant download some lower Android version apps. For example can't I download the apps Philips myRemote, Samsung Remote & Minecraft Pocket edition.
I've cleaned all Market cache & data as well as checked the Market filters.
Can anyone else with a SE X10 Mini Pro with cutom rom download these apps?

Cannot download them but they are on the web market saying that u20i is incompatible. If you know they can work on our devices then your best bet is to download warez versions of them, cant post them here tho due to rules.
Cheers,
Evil.
It's rare that happens, I do not let me install any of the app.
In short, things cooking!

Hi,
I used to use appbrain for downloading apps which are not available in the stock android market but ever since google update the android market it appears that I can't use appbrain even after uninstalling updates and clearing the cache. Simply speaking, I want to be able to see all apps that are available in the market whether it's for froyo, paid, region specific, or what not. So, does anyone have a solution to show all apps in the android market?
I did do a search on the internet and I got a hold of this: droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-hacks/5501-build-prop-edits-great-battery-life-fast-phone-full-market.html Has anyone with an xperia x10 mini tried this or something similar? Thanks.
Does anyone have issues with quite a few apps on the market not available to install on i5500? Some of the apps I've tried to download from market seem like they would be available for this device, example searching for yahtzee games, about 1/3 are not able to install. I thought maybe it was a screen size issue or similar. Recently I wanted to install Auto Memory Manager and it's ghosted out in the available devices menu. I left a note on the devs blog and he stated that there is no restrictions, yet I can't install it. Is this an issue with the Market, i5500 or the devs?
yeah i have the same,
its for like the half of the apps wich i want i cant install...
thats also why i use Applanet, because than i sill can install them
Ok I downloaded that app, but I can't seem to search. Or both apps I'm looking for aren't on there.
Well the dev for AMM asked what version of android I'm running, so apparently there is some sort of restriction or he wouldn't have asked. I'm suspecting devs mark apps for US phones and the i5500 probably isn't labled as one. Any devs know how the app restrictions work?
This is due to the Galaxy 5 having a small screen resolution so only a few apps show up....for the HTC Vogue it was fixed so i guess that it can be fixed somehow....
I already posted this question on MAD Team forums but no one replied : http://www.madteam.co/forum/index.php?/topic/511-full-android-market/
Ther than that it could also be due to the region of your Market....to fix this just use Market Enabler to fake your region
Did you try "market enabler" from the market? I dont know if its the screen size but it brings more selections of apps onto my X10. Just a thought.....

I installed this app onto my friends 2.2 ROM on his galaxy 5. I believe it was also possible on 2.1. He is using a north american ROM. Try the app I posted above me and see if it works.

I tried downloading market enabler, but I get the message that it's not available for my device as well. So it appears another one of my issues is not having a carrier and using my i5500 as a pmp/pda with only wifi.
Any update on this problem?
Android Market is running a great sale (lots of popular apps for $0.10) and I can't buy almost any of them.. Specifically - Paper Camera, SketchBook, Great Little War Game, MineCraft etc.
These apps are not searchable and when I'm trying to buy from web page, I get error "Item not compatible with your device".
I live in Australia, until today was using I5500LUYJP2 firmware. Today I also tried a bunch of other firmwares for Asia, Europe, Telstra Australia, also tried "Market Enabler", but nothing helped.
So is it something wrong with my phone or just all these apps require higher screen resolution?
I say the screen size. Some may need multitouch but the main reason is because developers don't bother with our phone, because its not very new or popular.
I tried them games too, kinda bummed as its only for a while and I'm getting my x play for xmas. Ah well

Screen size, multitouch, lack of hardware resources(we have an anemic RAM), or sometimes just 'cuz they didnt test it with our phones yet. Most apps not available on the market still so work with our phones, just download the .apk files (search for them on google), push them to your SD card, and select them from your file manager. (you need to enable "Unknown Sources" in Setting->Applications). Even though this may work for most apps, some are still not compatible, so even the apk files wont work either.
Well i recently received my invitation to Google music, currently uploading my ja-massive(yes that's a word) collection to Google Music so that itself is going to take forever.
However my x10 Mini Pro can't install the app from the market (it just doesn't show) although I know I can just download and install the apk , it's not the only app I'm looking for which won't show on x10 MP market place, I am currently using GingerDX v007 ROM , upgraded from Slade's CM6 v5.0 ROM , now on that ROM I had my market app unlocked, I could install apps whether they FC'ed on device constantly or not including Google music, YouTube remote and many others. Only problem is i forgot how the hell I done it can anyone help? I remember getting it from somewhere and I'm pretty sure it wasn't one of those market switchers (switch it to American market place) because I attempted that and it still didn't show the Google music app. i think it's something i add to the build.prop but I'm probably wrong! help someone thanks in advance!
I'd rather have the official app downloaded off of the store for future updates rather than reinstalling apk's all the time.
Come on please help
Tried Market enabler?
send from my X10miniPro
well link to it doesn't work and i live in UK so i can access paid apps, i have tried that other app where you access markets from different countries that's no good to me though.
seems, that Google-Music doesn't install on qvga-Devices (but works on mini pro). Anyone can fake the resolution of our x10 minipro for the market?
hello live in GR and i have many ''hiden apps'' on the market so if you remember how you did that please tell us here cause market enabler or market unlocker didn't work...
Hey I have a question..maybe it's stubid but...is there any way to ''fake'' the market and make it think that it is(x10 mp) another device so we can see all the apps and isntall them even they fc??
search for the apk on other sites and install maybe?

Download market enabler, because might not show depending on what service provider you have. Use market enabler to make market believe your phone has T-Mobile or any other american provider.
I am on tmobile from USA. so I don't know why I can't see
skyfire, words free, camera 360.
I just d/led the app and tried ATT USA, still doesn't work.
You could perhaps try downloading and installing the latest version of the Market that was released today (3.1.3)
I got it from here:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/08/23/download-android-market-3-1-3-adds-1-for-apps-and-games-pin-number-for-purchases-and-more/
Do i need 3g/4g for the new market to work? when im on 2g connection it won't connect at all. it only works on wifi.
The new market still can't find skyfire or camera360.

I just tested my market and though that it wasn't working with 2g, but eventually it did, just painfully slowly and after one connection time-out!
I guess you probably have already tried deleting market data?
Settings > Applications > Manage Apllications > Market > Clear Data
yes i cleared data.
can you see skyfire or camera360 when u search it?
Ah....I see the problem now, both Skyfire and Camera 360 have become incompatible with the Mini Pro. If you check on the web version of the market, both are listed as not compatible with u20i hence why they don't show up
I think with Camera 360 that there was an update where buttons overlapped on screen and so the dev must have stopped the app being listed for devices with our screen size. I've checked and the last version of Camera360 that was compatible with the Mini Pro was v2.2.0 (perhaps search the internet to see whether you can find an .apk of that version - you can easily but most results will be for the full version and therefore warez)
argh so lame... Thanks
Personally I like apps reaching their 'final' state for my device ;-)
Updates break as meany things as they fix whenever a developer tries to support the latest devices.

Do you know a way to get an apk of an app if the market means the device is incompatible?
android 2.3 avds you also can't install market on to do that :/
Why isn't it possible to download the apk file?
If there is no way may someone dump the app from that one, please and attach it here?
Thanks.

it may be that this app is really incompatible with your device,
or
there are 3 things which sometimes block me from installing apps from market:
- custom screen density (I have 180 set in build.prop), setting it back to 240 helps in some cases
- new market (3.x) seems to have some different rules for establishing compatibility, I've found that going back to the old version (2.x) solves most problems (one notable example being CoolReader, which absolutely refused to install under 3.x, and went smoothly from 2.x market), there's a nice app for switching between versions - Old Market
- Settings / Language - in some rare cases setting the language to English helps, although it's probably not the case with the app you want
Theres an .apk called market fixer with that you can download all the apps again! Or at least there is for the nexus s... its probably for all devices though.
You have to be rooted and have busy box installed then you can install itvand it showes you all apps on the market again... i didnt find where i got it from but just seach the forum or the web!
THank you guys. I neither find "market fixer" nor "itvand"
I guess it's my screen resolution (its ldpi. x10 mini pro) that it won't show apps that are made for bigger screens. but I found out that many apps are just not tested against ldpi but work fine, too.
and thus i ned a way to get the apks of apps I like to test against my mimmi.
I you have further ideas or links, let me know I will do further research
Everywhere i looked they postet this as a downloadlink for the fix.apk: jrummy16.com/jrummy/testing/
But i dont see the .apk there.
What apps do you want to download? I think you should still be able to see the apps on the market even if they dont work on your device! I had the same issue and tqhe fix.apk fixed it...
