Before I posted this: I have flashed through Odin 1.7 twice. I can't figure out what's the source of it switching into Airplane mode. Generally this phone is used with stock 2.2 JL4 with Wifi calling feature. Can someone help me figure this out?

I recently flashed to Bionix 1.5 OC/UV NO VOODOO from JAC's 1.2 OC Kernal, Deodexed 1.2, and the init.d fix. Now my 3G doesn't work unless I boot into Safe Mode. I flashed back to stock because I couldn't get my contacts to import on the Bionix ROM. I have reflashed stock a few times. The only way my 3G works is if I boot into safe mode. Do I have a virus or is something messed up? How do I proceed to fix this? I've done a lot of flashing and messing with my phone but I've never broken 3G before. Internet or anything that requires internet access doesn't work unless I'm on WiFi. I booted into safe mode after talking to the Tmobile service rep and internet worked fine until I rebooted.

Brian
Stupid question, but have you checked under settings: wireless and networks: mobile networks: network mode. Make sure WCDMA is selected.
FIXED, something about Internet 2 was latching to my device and making 3G non-functional. Some sort of help ticket and 5 phone calls later it is resolved.

Every 2.2 ROM I have tried including the official release I have to either reboot or toggle airplane mode to get my voice and text connections to come back on. It happens intermittently, someone will try to call or text me and they can't get through or I find that I can't send a text or make a call. Data does not seem to be affected because they will email me to tell me my phone is out. Anyone else seeing this issue on their Vibrant?

odin back to stock 2.1 or stock 2.2 and then apply a custom rom, it fixed my issue , which seems similar to yours.
I always Odin back to JFD before I flash any ROM. Most recent steps were JFD via Odin, KA6 via Kies. After I got the same problem on the official update, I then used Odin to flash KA7 over top of KA6 hoping the newer leak would fix it. But it happened again yesterday, had to toggle airplane mode to send a text and then make a phone call.
Well I was in the Team Whiskey chatroom and it was suggested that I Odin back to JFD and check the option for Phone EFS Clear as a possible solution. So I did that and then used Kies to get back to KA6. Will let this run for a couple days and see if that fixed it and report back.
There were several warnings about using this checkbox if you wanted to go carrier unlocked at some time in the future, so do not check this box unless you are full aware of any ill effects it may have on your device. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Hi, I was able to flash cm7 (nightly build 36) rom and glitch v10 kernel for my telus fascinate
Only problem I'm having is the wifi that won't even try to connect.
When I turn on wifi, it immediately says 'error'.
It doesn't search for networks or anything.
My 3g works without a problem though.
I have tried pulling the battery and rebooting many times and tried using airplane mode to solve it but had no luck.
Thanks for your help!
I have no network after upgrading to PWGB v2.0b3 from Stock. I have not yet decided to switch back to stock until I figure out a possible reason for fixing this.
I fallowed the instructions correctly. When I try to activate my phone or call anything, It asks me to turn off Airplane mode, but it is already off. ( No matter how many times I enable, and disable it. ) The wifi connection works, and I am able to download apps off the market.
If this is a common issue, please help me resolve it.
Please do not ridicule me for my small intelligence in this area, I have tried google'ing, but could not find possible result.
My question:
How do I fix this issue?
Thank you.
I fixed the issue.
My solution:
I made a mistake when flashing the recovery. In Odin, I did "Phone" instead of "PDA" by mistake. So I went back to stock using this method: I then did everything all over again and flashed the recovery the proper way using "PDA"

This correlates with the fact the battery drains very quickly as opposed to months ago where I could leave it in airplane mode for 4+ days for sure. Now it can't last 12 hours in standby (no airplane mode but no connections either - I believe the phone broadcasts something from time to time consuming battery, or simply keeps the hardware lit which he wouldn't in airplane mode). The fact I flashed original firmwares didn't change the fact I can't enter airplane mode again. Also have no IMEI or the efs directory for the files, no network and probably other problems
How can I fix? Flashing gingerbread and its baseband didn't help at all. Should I go back to Froyo? I can't even flash back the restore point I made in CWM...
I've flashed what seemed to be the original firmware (v10L), and all my functionality seems to be back (airplane mode included)
