Since there is a deodexed framework out there now, is anyone working on any themes? I would love an accurate battery
I'm waiting on my galaxy tab to come in the mail, please tell me it doesn't have battery problems again.
battery life is fantastic and indicator is accurate, not sure what the OP is talking about.
He's talking about a mod like you see in the xoom forums, where instead of a simple battery icon you see a circle with the percentage next to the clock. I'd be interested in this as well, if any devs feel like making it happen

Exactly. Doesn't have to be the circle, could just be a number over the existing battery
Should be reasonably easy to create. I might take a look at it when my Tab arrives.

I should be getting this tablet tomorrow, I don't know if I will root it, but I have done some battery mods on the Nexus and Vibrant. If I end up making one I'll post for a tester.

Here's a mixture of my favorite themes I've found online.
WARNING: I'm not responsible for any damage done to your phone make sure to have a nandroid before flashing this theme!!!

I wouldn't mind some help lol I want to learn how to change the battery indicator to show decreases by 1% since its on 20% intervals. Tonicacid I know your crazy at Themes so any advice or help would be awesome (just remember I don't know much lol)

So there is now a general list of most of the kernels available.. but what about Mods? Stuff like the modified boot menu (which I just flashed ). It would be nice (if possible) if there were a list of single/individual mods for things that people randomly have preferences for (e.g. 4 or 6 bars for signal strength and circle or regular battery etc).
Anyone else agree?

this is too hard to do as every rom has different frameworks, apks etc. cant really make a "general" mod that will work for everyone.

Nonono not a general mod! A list of mods that each do single, specific things.
*edit* nevermind I see what you are saying. But would it be too difficult to do something like the Mod for the expanded boot menu? There were only two versions (one for deodex and one for odex) that worked pretty broadly.

I was thinking more along the lines of just the single icon change ones. I guess it would be quite a bit :/

I was thinking about just that. I'd need to learn everything from scratch (not sure how to do any of it) and only have relatively basic knowledge of programming. Only a freshman in college! Don't have much free time but I will definitely get on it.
for a second there I thought the OP was looking for moderators who were single.

Does anyone know of a "taskbar collection" thread for compatible taskbars for evo3d? With decent 4g icons, wifi icons etc? I have the circle batt 1% that's easy to find, but the ogEVO had tons of em with a lot of variations.

i would hold on . all the ones i made personally for 2.3.3 no longer work on 2.3.4 they changed something ....
I am very new to some of this stuff. This is my first theme and I hope you like it. I used UOT Kitchen and The framework and systemui apks from the Quantum theme. I wanted to keep the notification toggles in. I hope to be theming the dialer soon and adding more tweaks. Thank me if you want, but I won't be upset if you don't. Give thanks to Jokersax11. I used most of his stuff to put this together. I just wanted to contribute in some way. Please enjoy and don't forget to let me know what you think or give any ideas as to what you might like added. I make no promises though as to what I can get done. Also launcher wallpaper and clock not included.
Note: this is not a Pittsburgh Steelers theme. I am just a fan.

Overall I think the theme is good. I think that the battery indicator. Color could flow with the rest of the theme better (maybe start yellow and fade to red?). The blue vibrate/silence icon looks out of place as well. I find the font difficult to work with also, but it is available without so that's great.

Redesigned the theme and have to say it looks better. I will update tonight. New additions will include better battery icon, notification drop down, themed lockscreen and settings menu icons from htc. Going to start on the keyboard this weekend along with other things as I work a lot and don't have much time throughout the week.
Nice job! I don't personally like a black & yellow theme, but if I were to like it, this would be my theme! NICE JOB!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

Thanks. I plan on making many more. I was going to do a black and blue theme, but Ktt16 beat me to it. lol I just learned to do the .9 pngs so it will allow me to further my theming abilities. I think I am going to try a green theme with custom icons next, but before I do I will try and learn the keyboard and sms theming.

There is already a green gingerbread theme, (I believe), but I would like to help you theme, I can learn some from you.

Most of it is easy. It is the .9 pngs that give you trouble. You need the android sdk, java jre, and eclipse just to edit them properly. Took me about a week to figure it all out. If you want to edit lock screens and some other system and framework icons you will definitely need all those things. I was getting tired of not having the kinds of themes I wanted on here, so I just took it upon myself to learn it. I am still learning, but would be glad to help you.

While I do appreciate any effort towards Photon development.....I gotta say man...this theme is terrible. The screenshots of your home screen are muddled and lack any sort of order. The colors are inconsistent and ugly and the notification and lock screen icons look like crap.
Sorry for ragging on your theme and homescreen setup but it just needs alot of improvement. Keep at it man...you'll get there...try being more minimalistic with it. Only mod what you need to...not everything needs to be completely changed.
Once again I apologize for being harsh and thank you for your contribution.

Well I have been working hard to polish it. I am not offended by your statement after reading your previous posts I have come to the conclusion that negativity is just your nature. Instead of hating on my theme you could take the time and make a nice one of your own. That is if it doesn't eat into your time ragging on other peoples work. I asked that anyone give me input about this theme if they flash it. I wonder if you even tried flashing it or just looked at a couple of screenshots and made your decision there. If it's not appealing to you, then go on to the next theme that does appeal to your liking. Also I am still new to this stuff and as this is my first theme, I know it won't be my best. I however am very proud of it and I think I should be. Instead trolling around here looking for something, I took it upon myself to make my own. What have you done except waste my time by having me put together this reply.

Learn to take some constructive criticism...i wasn't trying to be a douche...this is a forum...you post your opinions on forums.
Well I've purchased (full price as I'm on an unlimited data plan) an S4 after being very happy with my Verizon S3. With the S3 I think I tried and used every ROM there was (donation made to every developer as all should do). Now I'm going to wait to Root and deal with the stock, bloated Verizon/Samsung stock version until there are more Rom choices etc. So far I'm very happy, battery life is good. It took a while but I re-installed about 100 of my apps and I'll live with stock for now. I'm using Apex Launcher ((yes i've had Nova and all the rest but Apex is so excellent for me the others do not even compare) and it's so good with the elegant theme that a new rom is really not critical. I miss Titanium and a few other tweaks, but oh well. But mostly I wish I did have some control over the status bar and colors. So that all being said, what is that weird looking dragon icon in the middle of the status bar??? That THING I would really like to get rid of. It's not listed in the Settings/About Phone/Icon glossary what the H is it???
OH just an FYI I'm at 12h14m 2s with 4h 32m of screen time and 31% left. That is really good. Did I say I was happy?

A very big LOL...I found out that it's the GPS Location Services ON. If you go to Settings/More/Location Services/Access to my location and switch to off the dragon flames go out! Yep, now I think I lucky to have the Icon!!! Gezz I miss the Kinda Crap Mod to tweak for the status bar and pull down menus that I have on my G3. Stock ain't bad however. :silly::silly::silly:
