anyone buying the seidio dock?
summer11 gives u 15% off
saves u about $4.50 which still doesnt equal free shipping on the 29.99
Shipping is 7.83 to me in the NY area
total is 33.29
that is for the one that is 29.99 .. without charging cable
Looks Fugly in the pics I saw. Anyone have some good pics of it?
Ooo. Seidio claims that it will automatically place the 3d in dock mode. Nice.
Asked customer support - this dock does not pass through the mhl capability. HTC's does.
Wish someone would make a dock with HDMI out

If only, it could use the MHL adapter!!!!!!!!! I use the officail HTC dock, and it works great. But eventually, taking off / putting back on my Platinum Surface case is going to make it loose and flop around.
Good news on the Seidio dock; It puts your phone in dock mode, and it fits MOST CASES!!
It won't work with my Otterbox defender, because the little flap that covers the charging port is a bit too thick, even when you try to move it away, but it worked with 2 other "normal sized" cases I have!!
Too bad there is no port for an extra battery in back, but, I have a separate charger for that when I need it..
Comes with a usb cable, and a insert to use if the phone is "naked"
Finally a decent dock solution, and it was only 25 bucks after the coupon!
Argh!!!!!! I returned the HTC EVO 3D dock cause I did not want to keep taking off and putting back on my Platinum case I bought from BB. Eventually, that will either weaken it, or make it a loose fit. And as I don't really use the MHL adapter, then the Seidio 3VO dock should fit my needs just fine.
BUT!!!!!! I ordered it back on August 1st, and it was supposedly shipped on the 2nd VIA USPS. Being I am in Texas, just like Seidio is, the shipping typically would only take 2-3 days. Here it is the 8th, and it still DID NOT ARRIVE! I am getting quite ticked off, argh! Worse yet, I listed the earlier 15% off posted in the OP. But now after I ordered it, they have both a 20% off, and now a 15% off code. Grrrrrrr!
EDIT: it finally arrived today. Does not look that bad at all, and very well made. Not as near perfection or work of art as the HTC EVO 3D dock, but still not bad, and does what I need it to do first and foremost - a nice charging dock that I don't need to remove my case to use it.

i decided to purchase this for my transformer and i just got the case today. the price to me was pretty good, the quality of this carrying case or bag is great. i am not sure how many people just went for the tablet itself or intend to purchase it along with the docking keyboard. I plan on getting my tablet with the docking keyboard and from the looks of it right now, there should be enough room to fit them both inside this case nicely. i fit my tablet in there and there is still room to spare. there is also separate zipper compartment for other small accessories. flash drives, charging cables... etc. everything should fit fine. they also have a brown one available but that cost a few bucks extra, it might even match up with the transformer well. but i went for the black to save a few bucks and you can't really go wrong with black. while this is a bit thicker than just a plan sleeve, i feel it doesn't really show in this case. it looks slim for all the room it has. there are handles to make it easy to carry and even an additional/optional body strap included. i am sure this may not be for everyone but if it helps a few people, that would be great.

Glad to hear you like it. I plan to use it with the keyboard, so I'm looking forward to this case.
i bought the same one!
@OP
Thanks for sharing your experience with this product. I just ordered a brown one off Amazon; looks to me like it matches the brownish color hue of the Transformer & dock very well. I went for both so something that could cary and protect my investment safely.

Down to $13.22!
For the black version that is.
Could someone please confirm it that a TF101 with dock will fit this bag? As none of the posters had the dock or case to check it for real.

I have this case also and I can confirm that the docked Transformer fits. For the price it really is a nice case.
Just got this delivered from Mountek.

Best universal car mount I've ever had. I live in So Cal and go to Vegas frequently so having a windshield (or even dash) mounted phone holder for the car isn't so great in the summer time. Phone gets real hot and it affects the charging.
This feels like it was made with some pretty quality materials and I think the company is based in Northern California so shipping was two days when I ordered it off of Ebay. Paid $17.95 and $4.95 shipping plus CA sales tax. Well worth it.
The charging port is well above the cradle arms so it's easy to put it in. Stays locked in position really well and my Evo with a silicone skin slides in easily enough but stays snug. I like how the bottom piece is detachable so if I want to use it with my iPod Touch or a standalone GPS it'll work just fine and let it stay charged.
It rotates VERY fluidly between portrait and landscape. There's no annoying "click" stops that make others feel and sound cheap. Was using it with the navigation and maps apps and it was great.
I really like how you can adjust the profile of it depending on which way you stick it inside the CD slot. I didn't like it the way it was installed the first time because it blocked my car clock so I put it in "upside down" and it's perfect. The little slots that go inside the slot really seem to grab hold and you can adjust the tightness very easily.
Stays low enough to where I don't feel too nervous running into a 7-11 for something quick having a $500 gadget hanging from the windshield like with others. And like I said it mounts right above the CD player and stays out of the sunlight, also helping with glare issues. Having it right below the A/C vents means it'll keep the phone and battery cool during the summer.
Probably not a great idea for someone who swaps out a lot of CDs while they're driving, but it's not that hard to take off with one had while your driving in a pinch anyway. Besides, who uses CDs anymore anyway? LOL.

(Not spamming, just was so thrilled with this, thought I'd give them a glowing review)
Not my review, but the ones embedded on their Ebay auctions are pretty bland and horrible...
Thanks for the review!

How about hitting the THANKS button.
newegg had these the other day for 17.xx with free shipping. I ordered 2, glad to see a good review of the product.
I had this dock. Worked great but wouldn't fit my otterbox. Had to send it back for the slip grip car dock.

Which otterbox? I have the commuter.
I switched back to a palm pre 2 from the evo3d. Anyone wnat one of these? I have it sitting in my car and does no good with the pre. 15 bucks shipped and paypaled.
Don’t know if this is where this goes or not but it’s about accessories..
So I have the Sprint car dock and it works great (even if it only launches the dock half the time). I went out and bought the Otterbox commuter case and I love it. The good news is YES the case does if in the dock…. The bad news is the flap that covers the UBS port does not. So I had two choices, one cut the rubber that protects the USB port off and risk all kinds of pocket lint and dust getting in there or modify the dock… SO
I modified the dock… all I did was take a Dremel (best tool ever) and cut away the plastic edge. Now you have to be careful because it would be easy to “slip” and cut into your USB port. Also the LED power light is right there so watch that too!!!
Here is what 10 minutes of work look like!!

I will sand it a little but I think it turned out great!!! Now I can use my case and dock!!! I would take a picture of the phone in the dock but the phone is all I have to take pictures at the moment lol.
Let me know what you think??
Well done, problem solved. Looks fine to me. And yes, dremels are awesome ! Dremels, 5 min epoxy, and duct tape. I can do anything!
indeed nice! I bought mine today and was thinking.. just a little more room and I could totally Dock my otter box! but, I thought I would just cut off the little flap to the Charge port. instead, You've inspired me!
Thanks guys. I did not want to hurt the case as I get way more use out of it then the dock. But with the usb cover out it actually covers up the cut on the dock so you don't see it anyways. Looks great!

You made the right decision.
When you have to mod something , you want to avoid reducing functionality if you can. Cutting the dock doesn't change its functionality (even if it didn't fit after the cutout) , while removing the USB cover removes a feature.

I work as a night time security guard for an abandoned government hospital, so basically I do nothing but just watch movies and tv series or play games on my note 2 for 12 hours straight in a shift, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. I change batteries about three times a shift, since there is no outlet plug.
Since I just bought a Note 3, I need a case with kickstand, because I watch lots of videos, and something that can be taken off easily and can take lots of abuse.
I am rejecting both Seidio active and surface with kickstand because
1) the active takes too long to take off and put back on since it uses two pieces design.
2) the surface uses a latch system which means it will wore out after a few months of usage if I constantly take it off and put it back on.
So I'm looking for a something similar to the Casemate pop, which I used on the Note 2, but the kickstand was weak, I'm looking for a once piece design with metal kickstand or something?
Thanks for the input.
Instead of using multiple batteries that you have to change and thus weakening the case, you might consider using a powerbank. You simply connect the phone to it and it recharges from it like from any USB charger.
You can find powerbanks that could charge the phone fully 2-3 times, so you might only need 1 powerbank on a night shift, just look at powerbanks that are about 9000-10000 mah (or more).
The downside is that you'll have to carry the powerbank and an USB cable, the upside is that you don't have to change the case so you can use any case (for example one that has good protection so it will survive wear-and-tear).
As an overnight worker and vicious entertainment consumer, this is what I use. Don't be misled by the price, the thing is tough and durable. I've had it for a year and still looks new, has protected my phone at every drop, keeps the phone secure but pops right out if you want it to. Check out the reviews and order one, you won't regret it.
(Firt post can't post links) Go to Amazon and type Cellto Note 3.

tell me something I don't know please.
I use the PT case/holster from best buy. Solid build protects well, nice kickstand. Not bulky.
A while back I got one of these really cheap desktop phone stands given to me. It's actually very sturdy, but I didn't have much use for it, so it went into a box of misc. stuff in the closet.

More recently I picked up an inexpensive wireless charging puck that works quite well
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F6SPZWO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So I wondered if I could stick the puck to the back of the stand, and make a poor man's Tylt Vu charging stand. Sadly, the answer was no. The thickness of the plexiglass stand, added to the case for the charging puck, was too great for the Qi coils to bridge. But, I thought, what if I remove the thickness of the puck's case, and put the charging coil directly on the back of the plexi stand? So I disassembled the puck, and low and behold, that worked just fine.
Not wanting to give up the puck, I decided to order another. Being cheap, I saw a bunch of similar looking circular pucks for an even lower price, and thought they're probably the same thing. So I ordered one of these:
http://www.amazon.com/MuchBuy-Wirel...638&sr=1-11&keywords=docooler+qi+charging+pad
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Well, it's not the same. It's definitely cheaper than the PowerBot, but it worked fine, so I took it apart. Combined with the freebie stand, I bring you..... FrankenCharger. Ugly as sin, but it works, and a total outlay of about $10 can't be beat. Similar looking pucks are available from ebay for $3 to $4 bucks.
The bumpers that the phone rests on are soft plastic, and are extras from kitchen cabinets, intended to keep the cabinet doors from slamming closed. I may try to figure out a better way to hold it together than electrical tape, but there's something honestly cheap about that solution that appeals to me.
Here's a shot of the back, and sitting next to my work PC. I may stick some thin cork dots, or something similar, on the bottom to keep it from sliding around, but where it's located it's atually pretty stable.
nice i did something similar, but i also use a laser cut, its good to have one
