APN MNC Settings not saving correctly - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hey, I flashed one of slade's CM6 roms into my U20a but it kept asking for a Network Unlock PIN and after numerous tries I just gave up and went back to my Stock SE firmware. The problem now is my APN settings, I should have this for 3G to work:
Name: internet claro
APN: internet.ideasclaro
MCC: 704
MNC: 012
but I get the MNC as 01 as default and any attempt to add that last '2' makes the APN disappear. Maybe there's some system file that's preventing me to change that field? as I've tried the 'Restore to Default' but still no luck.
Thanks in advance

Goto /system/etc/apns-conf.xml
Edit that apn values in this file
Use root explorer!

Softbank MMS Settings on X10a 2.1

I have a Rogers X10a with X10i Generic 2.1 firmware.
I was in Japan earlier in September when I was still using 1.6 firmware.
Now I have debrand and updated the firmware to X10i Generic 2.1. I know I can make and receive calls and SMS and how can I send MMS with a Softbank prepaid SIM card?? Is there a app that can send the MMS or what do I need to configure??
thanks
anyone please?
Softbank MMS on X10 Eclair and Froyo
Lurker posting for first time from Japan... to mods: please edit or advise if needed
Must have some kind of data packet plan to use MMS, don't think prepaid works. I am using unlocked Docomo Xperia SO-1B (X10) with Jereplea and Zidzihu's factory rom with JIT on 2.1AOSP thread, Softbank network. Payment plans are Double White call plan and Packet-Houdai Flat data plan. There are 2 Jakemod mms.apks (Eclair and Froyo) links below.
For users with regular call and data plans, use adb or root explorer to push Jakemod11 mms.apk for Eclair into system/app folder. If your mms.apk has some other name like mms.apk.jakemod11, then rename to mms.apk first. For Root Explorer, you also need to choose and install that mms.apk from the system/app folder. Finally, go to settings in the new MMS message program installed and choose iphone 3.0 (others may work) as the Softbank User Agent.
Since I use a silver sim, my APN is opensoftbank.ne.jp (google for password etc) and just added 2 lines: MMSC: "h-t-t-p://mms/" (take out hyphens in http) and MMS PROXY: "sbmmsproxy.softbank.ne.jp"
NOTE: I had to use a desktop to download the files then put to SDcard... then I moved apk to system/app folder and installed using Root Explorer.

I am using Xperia X8, and your suggestion worked also on X8 (Eclair):
1) update from 1.6 to 2.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825228 (russian)
2) rooting
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906195
3) Jakemod11 MMS for Softbank (Eckair), above!
Nonetheless please let me add one more thing. Even with data traffic off, you can receive incoming mms messages, but sometimes miss them left in the server due to weak signal circumstances for example.
To avoid this you may be able to use
https://github.com/takuo/android_MmsReq/wiki (MMSReq),
which can be downloaded from the Market.
Cheers!

lost my telephony.db

Could someone please post a copy of their telephony.DB file?
I lost all of my apn's when I reset the apn to default and now I have no data connection.
"/data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db" is where the file is located.
Thanks!
Anyone? Please
or could anyone post the default apn values for the 4 different apns?

Can't get rom to read custom apns-conf.xml [Solved]

Hi I'm running a Roggers rom for the LG P925 and I'm trying to use a custom apns-conf.xml file but I can't seem to get the rom to read these values.
By default the APNs that are displayed are the Roggers APN.
These APN values are not in the default apns-conf.xml but seem to be set via a apk called Flexprovider.apk. If I replace the default apns-conf.xml with a custom apns-conf.xml and select “reset to default” it always reloads the Roggers APN list.
If I remove the Flexprovider.apk and reset to default then the APN list is blank. Putting the apk back gives the APN list again.
I have also replaced the Flexprovider and apns-conf.xml with ones from a similar rom that gives me the APNs I’m after but still the APN stay blank.
I don’t know much about this (only want I have research on the web) but it look almost to me that there is a switch that is telling this rom not to read the apns-conf.xml file and use the Flexprovider files instead.
Has anyone else seen this before?
After a bit more digging and playing I found the answer, I needed to copy another directory over.
so to get this to work I needed to
Replace the flexprovider in \system\apps
Replace Flex folder in \system\etc
Replace apns-conf.xml in \system\etc
attached in the replacement app, folder and config if anyone else needs it

On your dialer type in *#*#4636#*#* then select phone info and about two thirds of the way down that screen should be a drop down menu for network mode.

I tried but i cant see theoption
I am not on stock but assumed it would be the same. The build prop with .bak is a backup. After making changes with root explorer did you reboot? I would try changing build the build prop again, select save and exit, reboot, then try dialer code.
Edit... After reboot it may show up in settings without needing to use dialer. I believe it did on ICS anyways.

Sorry it didn't work. If I can come up which anything else I will post it here.

Cant add or edit verizon ellipsis 7 APN.

So I have tried editing the build.prop file to let me edit the APN by adding ril.sales_code=LOL and ro.csc.sales_code=LOL to the very end of the file. I am rooted and I changed the read/write and successfully added the lines. But no luck. Has anyone found a way to change the APN on this thing?
