Lagging CPU - HTC EVO 3D

Is anyone else CPU clocking at 1.188mhz
Or 1.1GHz instead of 1.200mhz or 1.2Ghz. I used antutu benchmark on the market and clicked info to see the CPU frequency. I'm taking swapping it out at radioshack.

1.188 gigawatts to 1.21 gigawatts?

Sounds perfectly normal to me.....

I just wanna be sure I'm reading this right... Op is complaining about 24mhz? Seriously? As in 12mhz per core? I don't think that its gonna make much difference in the performance of the phone.... That's like complaining that your car was advertised to have 1200 horsepower but you only have 1188.... Oh darn those 12 little ponies!

That's normal, just the way processors work it is very rare to get an exact number. You will be wasting your time taking it back because they are all exactly the same.

Are ya serious man ??? LOL I knew what you meant I was saving you the time and hassle, hit the thread and read. Nm I'll make it easy for ya. Flash one of freezas dual core mod kernels to activate the dual core script. Then just flash the kernel you have now, from my understanding the script should stay active unless you remove the script via root explorer or flashable zip. Or just dl system tuner from the play store and go into the boot seetings and force both cores online via Int.d script and it will place a script in your /system/etc/int.d folder. Or choose on boot complete and it will force both cores online upon reboot.

Here's the script you requested on the other thread as well

No, normal behavior. It only comes on as needed. (well, should.)
Should come on when the load on the processor increases more. Check the Times tab up at the top right of that screen after you've done something processor intensive like loading up a game. Will probably show a few stats for the second core as well.
Forcing the second core on is not recommended either.

yep. second core is only used when needed. like a computer, the phones first core is primary but if it feels it cant hold up it will turn on the second one.
Some processors are designed to use all cores at all times.
This one only uses the second core when it's under heavy load.

ICS could definitely use it. My games are more choppy and laggy since ICS. I know GB couldnt utilize second core because the kernel didnt support it. Youd think it would try to use it with the Sense lag... Lol
In my experience, undervolting doesn't do much to improve battery life. All these new Sense kernels are fun to play with, but they haven't done a thing to improve performance for me. And I've tried all the recommended settings that are supposedly great.
And yes, they may work fine... But I can't say any of them were noticeably better than stock. In fact, most were worse.
But, the flasher in me will continue to experiment. It's just what we do.

I think it would be possible with the quad core 2gb ram model as it has the same specs as the note 2 and that has been seen at 2ghz
im what Willis was talking about
Feel free to try it but I have a feeling that the phone will reboot because of overheating buy try it and let us know...
Intact why the f would you want it a 2ghz our phones are phones not blumming computers ... most mobile games don't even touch our phone... but like I said try it ... it would be a gimmick type thing

Hope i helped if i did please click the "Thanks" button
When s4 is coming, it would probably have 8-cored processor. So when it does, can s3 compete with it...
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Siyah Kernel allow up to 1.8Ghz . I believe it is possible however I do not believe it's safe. Overclocking that much might cause the device to over heat not forgetting the Battery drain issue that you will be facing as the battery isn't optimized to endure that power .
