Hello all...
I have never posted anything related to accessories, but after buying over 20 different cases for my E3d, this was by far my favorite and only $2.99 plus shipping.
No kick stand, but light, clean, clear, perfect, and the best of all... WILL NOT MAKE YOUR PHONE TOO TICK OR BULKY!
To me, it was the best one I found... AMAZING!!! I fell in love with my phone all over again...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XYHVPQ
All the best to you all!
Seems pointless with the bottom edge left unprotected.
I prefer the traditional TPU cases, not bulky or thick to me and best of all, they provide complete edge protection.
Like it but it seems like you might as well go naked. Not very much protection on there. Probably gives a nice grip though sense it's rubberized.
I have that case too and agree with you OP. It's great for all I'm looking for in a case (mainly just protecting the camera). I have a tpu case as well, but this one makes the phone seem much thinner. I'm sure it won't do much for drops, but I don't make it a habit to drop my phone on hard surfaces .
Best case so far?
That is completely subjective and based upon each individual's needs.
I for one found that the best case for my needs was an inexpensive hard plastic case that has a carbon fiber look it doesn't offer much protection if I drop it because it doesn't have any silicone lining...but it serves my purpose - that of being able to fit in the iGrip car dock. I also have a Otterbox Commuter case which offers much more protection. It just isn't the best case for my needs.
I ordered the transparent grey version. Looks a lot like the Case-Mate barely there case but about a quarter of the price. Works for me as this and the case-mate offer the same protection either way.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004XYHVCY
I was definitely intrigued by that case when I was shopping for one, but I prefer to have complete edge protection. I went with TPU and am extremely happy with it.

I'm always curious as to which would offer more drop protection, a TPU case or a Seidio Surface case. One's hard plastic the other is TPU but they both cover all the edges. Would either material handle a drop better?
Here's the Surface case.

Interesting. Is the rubber it self actually thinner than the TPU cases? Adding that little strip of protection across the top and bottom doesnt seem like it adds much bulk.

Corners are well protected. I just don't see how I can damage the botton and top. Main reason I use a cover is to protect agains falls, glass breakage, and such. The only way I an scretch the botton and top is if I atually let something like my keys scratch it... but I never put it together...
So I have VERY good protection without adding more than a very few millimeters on the size... By the way, it protects the camera very well.
While I had my evo, my case was similar (not top or bottom) but much, much thicker... and I had NOT ONE scratch on the phone... what I mean is, I really like the no top / bottom, but its all personal opinion. If you don't mind it, this is the case to go!

I agree with you... best case so far, for ME (like I put it in the description). but yeah, I guess I should change the title and add FOR ME. Thanks for pointing that.

The TPU (I got one with the diamonds inside) was my favorite and the one I was using before the I mentioned above, definately a great choice too!
I got something similar from a website that ships from Singapore. There are 2 types one is half the price as the case mate barely there, other is less than $3.
$3 version (not see thru like the OP version)
http://www.obostore.com/hard-plastic-case-skin-faceplate-for-htc-evo-3d-p-1404.html
$14 version - I think slightly better finish than the $3 version and the one I am using.... I bought both.
http://www.obostore.com/rock-ultra-thin-nakedshell-faceplate-for-htc-evo-3d-p-1102.html
However, it will take almost 2 weeks to get.
i snagged this one:

it is nice.. protects the cameras also!

God those are ugly. Why would one go out of ones way to buy a beautiful device and the stick that on it?
what would you guys recommend as a decent protective yet slimline case for this device, preferably allow you to use the device whilst it's in the case. I've ordered the D2 but am deciding on what case to get

where can get??
www.zagg.com
thats where they are!
Invisishield
Wouldn't invisishield still require a case? It looks like the screen would still be very susceptible to dings, etc. that would kill the handwriting recognition.
I ended up ordering this:
http://www.blueunplugged.com/p.aspx?p=138216
and one of the silicone skins above. Got the leather case on me now. Pretty nice and a tight fit. Right side of it covers the end call button a bit but other than that it's all right. Would prefer if the leather was a bit thinner on the screen as it feels like it's recessed now. Regardless of that though I can still hit everything I want to on the screen so that's fine. The flip lid is hard and solid (must have thick card or something in it) so the screen is protected easily when it's shut. Also comes with space for memory cards and other plastic cards. Supplied with a removable screw on belt clip too! Doesn't add much bulk or weight to the phone and slips in nicely into my jeans pockets.
The best silicon cases are made by Capdase. I got my case for my HD a month ago. I checked, they don't have any yet but I am sure it will be available soon. What I will do is get a cheap replacement for now and wait for Capdase to come out with one. The one I have is non slippary and dust proof and and and it slips into my pocket nicely. Other silicon cases sticks to cloths and it's hard to get out of your pocket. It's not cheap, mine cost around $80 HKD which is around 6.50 GBP or 8 Euros. Hope this helps.

Nope.. I had one protecting my Diamond for 7 months... didnt effect ANYTHING. I dropped it a few times as well.
The IS is indeed very good
I have only seen it on a number if iPhones but it is as strong as they claim
We even tried the compass/knife test and scratched the hell out of it...or so we thought
It's very durable and did not damage the phone at all - Only downside is by the time it comes out (unless it is already), we'll all probably have a few light markings on it - no matter how well we keep it.
Something to note is the TD1 had a horrible procedure to apply it because of its curves/or lack of them ... I feel the TD2 will be much easier but lets see
Received my silicone case from xell_uk today ordered on the 30th April. Have to say it's a lot better than I thought it would be! Fits the D2 perfectly. Nice sized cut outs so you can easily access the ports and stylus and is snug and secure. Buttons are slightly more accessable as well compared to the other leather case I ordered. Device does look quite neat in this jacket too!

As requested... Pretty good fit if I do say so
Decent sized openings as well for port and stylus. Not bad for under £5 delivered.
in Taiwan , we also got a grey one
and I bought it with other 2 color (b&w) cost 90 NTD. (ABOUT 2~3 USD)
and I thought the grey one is the best on Diamond2....

I've ordered my IS. Should arrive in a few days. http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield...es-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
I don't get it. Isn't the screen the most important part of the device? Why protect the back and sides only?
Can someone recommend a solution to this?
FYI all: I got the silicone case, and it DOESN'T fit perfectly around the device. On the left the case is a bit loose, so you can see the device peeking... this can be seen in pictures of the silicone casing everywhere. So be aware...
I just bought a new case today and thought I would share it with everyone
Its called Platinum (Protetective Smartcase Holster)
It DOES NOT cover up the top mic, front facing side doesnt stick out like other cases (the number one thing i hate about my ballistics case from ATT) so when you need to touch the edge of the screen for what ever reason the case doesnt get in the way.
Its very nice to hold, and light, its thin and all around i think a good case, it no otterbox or ballistics case when it comes to protection, im fairly certain if i drop my phone in this case it can still incur damages, but if its a short fall it will hold up.
i think it makes it a little easier holding the phone with one hand as well.
but here are some pictures and if anyone has any questions feel free to ask
i bought it from bestbuy and its priced at $34.99 but i was lucky and got it for $24.99 because it was an "open item" so ask and see if they have one opened before buying full price

Case
That doesn't look too bad. I bought some Rocketfish branded POS from Best Buy, and I had to take it back immediately because it fit so poorly. How solid are the materials on this case?
pretty good, it doesnt feel cheap when holding or looking at it. theres a felt lining to keep the phone from scratching and its two pieces so it wont stretch out after trying to fit your phone in and out of it. its a nice case, like i said its not an otterbox or other "elite" case but i love it
Bought this case today while I was in best buy based on the info here. I'm very picky about my cases. I want thin and light but decent protection. This case is perfect. My case search is over (I've tried about a dozen now). I don't like buying online because I like to see the case before I buy it. Highly recommend this case.

i havent had a problem with the beltclip, ive used it for a few days now and i have a physical job. ive brushed it up against things and nothing. maybe it was just defective or hit your case in just the right spot?
just bought case yesterday
i just bought this case yesterday from best buy and i love it so far. the ballistic case would have been cool if it had a holster to go with it. this case adds very little bulk to the phone and feels great. ive used a seidio case with my nexus s and i never had a problem with it. they sell u a combo deal with a zagg screen proctector on it for $45. you can register the zagg sheild and you phone online so if anything happens to your screen they replace or fix the phone. i wish i would have known about the open case i prob would have asked for one to get it cheaper.
Just so you know, this case is the Seidio Surface case (seidioonline.com) rebranded for Best(?) Buy.
They also have other color options and a two-layer case on their site.
I like the case, however there is a very small gap between where it joins where you can see the silver rim. On top of this, the bottom plate is slightly wider than the top one so there's a small snag whenever you glide your finger down the edge.
If you're not needing the holster, I recommend buying it online as you can save $10 or so (assuming you don't buy it directly from Seidio)

No it isn't, same type of case but not made my seido. The seido cases are a tad thinner and of higher quality. I have owned both and prefer the seido, however Best Buy has a fantastic warranty so if you have issues they will resolve it promptly.
Just got this case yesterday and I'm having a hard time removing it. Is there a special trick to get this case off? Or is it just me. I tried what the instructions said, but it won't come off.

Guess the seidio logo on the bottom of the packing is just a coincidence.

Hello,
Picked up a TPU case from Cimotech in Black, S style a few days ago and thought i would share my thoughts on it.
PRICE: You cannot complain about the price. Anything that is 1/3 of the price as the ones that are located in the store are a win. These cases really are the cheapest you want to go without sacrificing quality. Trust me, DO NOT get those full silicone $3 ones on eBay.
FEEL: The case is smooth for one half, and more plastic on the other. The "S" line is actually a design, where one part is straight TPU, and the other is a softened matte finish. The matte finish is very close to what you would get with the soft touch smartphones of yesteryear. The other part is also TPU, however has a more of a "sticky" feel to it. Also with this case, the sides are textured for grip. I cannot stress how much i like this. Under any situation, I have never felt like I would drop the phone with these grips. Definitely adds extra feel to the super slippery awesome phone that we have.
LOOK: To be honest, I always thought these cases looked cheap. Now that I have one, i would say that these S series cases beat the $25 ones you see at the Verizon retail stores without question. If your looking for something more rugged, I would look more towards otterbox
FIT: Super snug fit. Its almost too snug when putting my phone in there. However once its in there, there is no wiggling or gaps at all. the left and right sides tend to buckle when you pull them away from the phone, but that pretty much the standard for any kind of case like this.
BUTTON ACCESS: The buttons for camera, power and volume control are very tight. They work great and the tactile feedback feels better with this case than without it. I honestly never thought I would say that, however it does add a little extra press into each of the buttons. The Volume and Power buttons are both covered by the case.
Design: The case has a pre-cut spot for the SD/SIM door. This i thought was awesome, as some cases have that area sealed. The main, and really only negative with this case was that it covered the secondary microphone that's located on the bottom, back of the device. My recommendation would be that if you were to buy the case, i would make a hole (I don't know what method would be the best way to recommend) so that you don't loose the functionality of that second microphone. The phone will be expecting it, however I haven't noticed any call quality degradation so far.
Final Thoughts:
In the final tally the case is well made, looks good, fits the device, & the price is right, if it wasn't for the secondary microphone being blocked, it would be a perfect review for a perfectly priced TPU case.
4.5/5

I have the clear one that I just purchased off of amazon and I love it! Now I am just waiting on a black sample from the kind CIMO rep!! A full review of both cases will follow soon!

Damn I'm still waiting for mine to arrive from Cimotech...!
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. This case is awesome. I first wanted one when I got my Skullcandy case for my iPod touch and have been waiting for one built for an Android phone since. I like the case because it doesnt fall apart like other hard cases when its dropped. It slides together with the small black bottom piece and stays together. I found it pretty cheap on eBay and would highly recommend it. Matches the phone colors perfect with the deep red.

just ordered one in red. i was stuck between the commuter case and this icon case. for 8 bucks shipped. why not?! thanks
Pretty easy. It fits snug because of the felt lining inside the case but it's easier than one of those hard jelly cases
Cool, thanks!

thanks 06stang and quikfinger00. I just bought one off ebay as well. I also have the commuter so I'll let you guys know what I think about the differences once it comes in!
Hey fellas. My case came in yesterday! this case surpassed my expectations. The red color is more of a dark metallic color and actually looks pretty beastly. All my prior phones (blackberries, voyager, incredible, DROID x, thunderbolt, gnex have had black cases but I really have to say that the color on this case is the shnit. I love the soft rubber feel and like the nice lip around the screen. Thin enough to keep the phone thin but thick enough to keep the phone safe in case of drops to the face. The interior has a quality feel (soft velour) to it and the phones fits snugly in the case. The case is also easy to connect together and remove for easy battery swaps. I have a otterbox commuter case coming in as well but I think I'll be keeping this one on more often except for when I need added protection or a more professional look for business meetings, etc, etc. I'll post pics tomorrow and will post back about my quick thoughts for the commuter case..
Sent from my HTC Rezound
Hey guys, so I've been using the body glove case for a couple days now. I definitely like the slimmer form factor compared to the commuter.
Pros: Definitely slimmer then the commuter.
It fits and covers the phone nicely so you see the whole screen (the commuter covers about half the htc logo).
Quick to get off in case you need to pull the battery.
Appears to be pretty sturdy and has a really snug fit.
Has a little bit of a less slippery back since its very lightly textured.
Has openings for the mics and what not where the commuter covers some of them
Colors and look is sweet.
Cons:
It doesnt have any internal padding on the sides so I dont know how well it would protect the phone from a hard drop if it landed anywhere besides on its back.
The back is still kind of slippery, but a little less then the commuter feels imo.
So far I like it and will probably only use the commuter at times if I know im going to be doing something that its more prone to getting dropped liked going out to the bars.
Hope this helps anybody thats been kindof iffy on whether or not to buy

+1. This case is awesome. I've had it for a month. Last I checked, Amazon also had it for a decent price. (Not as cheap as eBay though)

Any paint chipping off? Considering the gray/black one.
Theres a tiny bit of paint chipping where the two pieces meet. It also seems like theres a bit of metal underneath that paint. Maybe its just chrome plastic. This case looks to be of much better quality then previous cases made by body glove

Had the case since the beginning of January and it's looking fantastic. No drops but lots of sliding around on tables and banging around a car shop.
I bit on this case because of this thread, just got it in.
it is light years beyond the oem htc plastic case from verizon with the red back/htc logo...
this case is the bees knees for me so far... love it.
I have this case also...
Along with a Seidio Active case...
The Body Glove does fit very snug on the ReZound...
Question I have is, has anyone had an issue with the case scratching the gloss edges of the phone?
I had this issue with my Dinc and a Seidio case.
Lego
ya, i've had the body glove case put some small scratches on the 'chrome edge' of the device... nothing i can't forget about, but it's definitely noticeable.
Just dropped it for the first time while walking the dog. Ouch...
Pretty much killed the top edge of the case. Bummer

I've had mine for a few months now, It's still in descent shape, had a few falls. It fits great, and looks good. I use it in combo w/ the zagg shield.
It did scratch the chrome around the edge of the phone, but nothing to terrible.
overall a great case.
I just purchased this. I've been looking for a decent case. I did like the Body Glove when I had it on my Original Droid, although it was a poor design because of the Droid's slide-out keyboard, but I still liked the feel of it. Looking forward to this. I should get it by the end of this week coming up.
I really like this case. Definitely better than the hard rubber one from Verizon.
Hello all and thank you in advance for reading my post. I do my best to “pay it forward” when I can.
I recently just switched my service over to Verizon (love the service) and bought a Note 3 (love this phone). I was using an S3 with an Elago Breathe case. It was a great case but more for light duty use. The Note 3 is so nice I would hate to have it covered all of the time so I would like to swap cases based on my situation. The slim cases go on and come off easy but when you get into cases like the Otterbox they seem to be a “put it on and leave it on” type of a case. I just want something mainly for protecting against drop and slight bangs. I “think” the Otterbox defender would be overkill and very large. So out of the light to heavy duty cases what ones go on and come off easy?

I use the seidio surface, its a hard case Ive dropped my note twice on pavement and no problems other than the case having a little scuff mark.its also raised slightly to protect the camera..

I also switch out batteries daily so the case is quick to come off and put back on.

Just any TPU case from ebay, which can be very inexpensive...will do the job and not give you problems when it comes to battery removal. I am using a goospery case....in red. I love it! My idea is that if you drop your phone anyways, you might be screwed...so HOLD onto it. Get square trade insurance...and you're good to go! Just MY two cents!!!

Both offer a bit of protection from falls, and great protection for your daily usage.

Nice, is that comparable protection wise? I like that case but I have heard mix reviews about the rubber on it. What have you seen?
This is one of my personal favorites, its a mix of TPU and a hard shell that is wrapped around it. The fit and finish is excellent and its not too bulky. The case also comes off in one piece and goes on just by popping your phone into it.

Always welcome! TPU is the only kind I've ever used on any phone and luckily, I've never regretted it!

How would this compare to the Commuter series?

I haven't had any problems with protection so far, but I do have two little scratches where I have dropped it, but no rubber peeling and no problems with the felt on the inside of it either.
Just purchased the Trident Aegis case from amazon for $18 and it rocks! rubber surround, with plastic backing (hybrid) superb protection, free sp. does not add too much bulk, and it looks great, Will post pics if you want me to. I have always used Trident cases and they are awesome, oh and it comes off easy too. I got the green one

In terms of protection it doesn't. Commuter is the stronger case and also has a much better lip to protect the screen. That being said the commuter also makes the phone twice as thick whereas the slim armour is a bit more svelte. The slim is also easier to take on and off from the phone although the commuter isn't that difficult, it's just that you have to do it in two pieces.
