Hi,
I was wondering if it'll be a good idea to freeze original touchwiz processes. I remember doing that with the atrix.

Does anyone know if there is an app that saves the desktop settings of the Samsung S2 (ie shortcuts to apps on the 7 screens)?
It is annoying to redo the favorites everytime I flash a new ROM.

..Titanium Backup? Saves app shortcuts fine for me, just not widgets.

Just backing up your launcher settings (with Titanium) should do just that.
Okay. I have titanium premium. Which of the list options do you restore? Is it under system or apps and what will be the name of the Launcher option containing the saved settings?

In titanium backup go to "back up section" and back up "Twlauncher"
Does titanium backup on launchers also work with widgets?

You would need to install ADW launcher. As I just posted in another thread, this does not work well though restoring certain widgets like Desktop Visualizer.
How do I backup ways apps organised (folders) and placement of apps on screen?
Whenever I upgrade rom have to wip all apps etc. But Google lucky backs up apps installed and contacts and I have a software which backs up txts but each time I have to reorganise apps into folders on menu etc.
Is there a way to backup arrangement of apps?

Download nova launcher from play store. It will let you import and later backup your current home screen settings.
Going forward, you will have to use nova launcher as your default launcher.

Is there anyway of backing up my current configuration of organisation of apps using the native launcher ?

Would Titanium Backup backup the launcher and data... so backing up the current screen setup?
Use titanium backup to backup TW Home. Restore only data. You will recover all your folders arrangements but not widget.

Launcher settings backup/restore depends on launcher... Some have the option, some don't.
If I'm running nova on cm9dx2, can I ditch trebuchet entirely?

hi folks, quick one: if i'm using a non-default launcher (say, apex) with an AOSP ROM (say, slimbean), would it be safe to delete the default launcher (say, holo)?

Yes....buuuuut it's always worth having a spare launcher just in case main one crashes(very unlikely).....just my humble opinion
freeze holo (with TB) if you're worried it will interfere or take up ram (although it shouldn't)

cool, sounds wise. thanks folks.
