I want to get rid of the transparent background ghost images of the widgets on homescreen because instead of imparting a cool 3d effect it completely ruins the wallpaper, not to mention that cropped wallpapers are already a problem on the fyer.please share your opinion.

I recently rooted my phone and i erased the htclockscreen.apk to get rid of the slide down lock and get the vanilla one....however now i dont get the text message preview at the bottom..i mean its not that big of a deal but i was wondering if there was any way to get that back? also i kinda like the transparency of the lockscreen and i like beautiful widgets and its weather but i dont like the clashing clocks...so i was wondering if anyone new of a way to hide the clock on beautiful widgets so i can just use the weather...thanks
Looking for the files for the stock news and Weather widget ? Running ADW ex launcher, and it doesn't show it for some reason ? Can I install those separately ?
To me ADW, is a must have on the EVO-3D, because it allows for customizing the amount of rows of icons, and having 5 rows high of apps is a must on the higher resolution of the 3VO, because stock, with just 4 rows seems ****ed up, like to much space between widgets.
Sent from my EVO-3D waiting for Myn's ROM
UPDATE;
I had an old apk from my EVO 4G, was clear/transparent News & Weather widget. I threw that onto my 3VO SD/Card, and all set
I'm also using an alternative launcher (Zeam Launcher) and would like to use some of the HTC widgets, yet those are only available when using Sense. What apk did you use (for example to get the weather widget back)? I imagine I can find it on the webs?
Does anyone have the stock non transparent News and Weather widget apk ? Now I don;t like the totally clear background, makes it harder to read, I prefer the black background, or even better would be a semi-transparent with dark grey background, sort of see through.
Anything out there ?
Am I missing something? I have a ton of great wallpapers on my device, many of which match the resolution. When I try to set one as wallpaper, it gives me a very small portrait-sized window that I can't expand at all. Seems like the Note can only take wallpapers in portrait? I realize there's no scrollable wallpaper, at least on Touchwiz, but are we really limited to those dimensions?
download the app wallpaper wizardri
it will fox your woes
Hi,
I would like to use some icons for lock sliders using Widgetlocker, but I would like to change the default icons slightly. Basically I want the backgrounds on the icons to be different. Unfortunately I have no experience with Photoshop or any other graphics program.
The default dialer icon has a grey background (please see attachment). I would like to change it to the red background (also provided). Then the email/messaging icon I would like to have a yellow background exactly like the one shown behind the mute icon (I couldn't find that background alone without an icon on it already).
If someone with a bit of know how could please do this for me and upload the new icons. I have also provided some other icons as examples of other icons that have already been done with these backgrounds.
Thanks in advance
I'm looking for a clock widget that looks good in both portrait and landscape modes. I'm tired of clock widgets that look like crap when the launcher is in landscape mode (or, if they look good in landscape, they look like crap in portrait), like HD Widgets or Beautiful Widgets.
I've only found one widget that changes its layout completely (read: not just stretches in one dimension and contracts in the other) to adjust itself to its new allocated area: Accuweather. See the attached images for what I mean. Notice the layout is completely different, and nothing overlaps/looks stretched/tiny. Both modes look great.
Now, my problem with Accuweather is that I'm looking for something darker, that looks better with the wallpaper. Do you know of some widget that does the same as Accuweather (different layouts for portrait/landscape) and allows customization?
Thanks!
So... nothing? Nobody knows of a clock/weather widget that is intelligent enough to use different content layouts depending on its available space?
