hey guys, my market keeps saying: xxxx cant be upgraded/downloaded due to an error. any ideas to solve it?
i tried clearing all the data and cache as many suggested this is gna work...but it is still not working! i recently flashed the Litening Rom but i think it is not the ROM problem cus i wasnt able to connect to the market before i flashed the ROM
please helpppp.. cannot update, download anything through the market
FYI, i downloaded app2sd before and uninstalled it, some say its the .android_secure folder which causes the problem. yes?
anyone to help? and when i choose 'my apps' i can see apps ive downloaded before, but some of them are listed as uninstalled...(wtf?) but i can still use them in my device

First clear d data n cache,n den do a factory reset ...this should help..

First f all make sure u have a working connection.
N before a factory reset, try installing d new version of market.

new version of market is a bit laggy
i recommand you dont update just wipe and flash a fresh rom

I have the same problem, seems to be a known issue by Google. Refer to my post:

If it didnt help, try wipe dalvik and fix permission.
I faced this problem several times and always done that everytime my market goes wrong.

did all, didnt solve my problem
Are you use newest market?
Try old market if yes, the old one is faster.
Wipe market data with titanium backup, and market updater.
Then reboot to recovery, and wipe dalvik, fix permission.
Try it several times, it works for me.

I had this problem, just create a new apn, and just include the name and the apn, no proxy no port nothing just the apn.
You should be able to download now, let me know if it helps

IF U R NOT ABLE THRU DOWNLOAD ONLY THRU WIFI : Just download one app through your Mobile network.. then try downloading thru wifi.. U LL BE ABLE TO DO IT

Hey i recently bought mopho and on first day itself i tried connecting to market over wifi but it failed...seems like its not taking wifi as means to connect can anyone help??
Also initially i was able to download apps over my gsm data service but from last few days its showing not sufficient memory on device...when i tried to update sbf OTA it also showed same error i wanted to ask which memory its talkin about...
I cleared dalweak cache but no success.....also i tried clearing cache through CWM recovery but it showed unable to mount and showed that file exists...any thoughts on this???
today i updated to Alien ROM but my data(contacts,apps,test messages,social network connections) was intact while on threa it was written that it will wipe all data.....any thing going wrong here???
Some people have reported that problem. Try googling a new market.apk), the latest version. Use root explorer and rename your current vending.apk to vending.apk.bak then paste your current market. Restart your phone, then you should be fine.

Well, im not new to custom roms. I think im pretty experienced with it. But i found no solution for my Problem yet.
I tried many Roms for my Ace, but with some I have the problem, when I try to install an app, the Market says my device is not supported.
With other Roms it works perfectly.
For example:
I tried the Miracle Rom V2 based on CM7.2: Everything works Perfectly.
Now I tried Miracle Rom V3 based on CM7.2, too: For example Maps, Mail, SoundHound and many many other Apps are not Possible to install. "Not Supported".

yes of course i could.
But there are many many other Apps which doesnt work, where i cant download another version very easy.
For example "heise", its a german computer magazine. I cant download the app and i dont know where i can download it. It would be hard work to search for any app, i cant install, for other versions

Success. A reinstallation of the rom solved it. Weird problem. Does anybody have an idea where it comes from?

Most problems on first install are commonly solved by applying wipes before and after installation.

Im still having the same problems. But everytime i try with different Apps.
I tryed a full wipe, before and after flashing.
I even formatted everything before and after installation.
This thing is really annoying!

For anyone having the same problem:
I used a density modder to change the display resolution to 140. That makes the market to no-know the phone, because it has the wrong resolution.
Solution:
I bought "LCD Density Modder Pro" from Market to change the Density. Then I activated the option "Fix Market Compability Issues" which installs a modified Market.apk to make the market think the phone still has the resolution 160

I've installed a new version of hydrogen mod. (I did full wipe and everything) But everytime I want to start the market, it kinda force closes. I don't have any idea why. As I said I did a full wipe and a fresh clean install. On a friends S II everything works fine. What am I doing wrong? Is there a fix for that issue?

I have been facing this problem from last 3 days, i updated MIUI and after that its not working.
Here is what i have done so far.
Edit the host file and put "127.0.0.1 localhost" No Luck.
there was nothing else in the host file which i can comment out, so i even try to paste the IP and then comment it out with # Still Nothing.
Cleared " Play Store Cache" > Nothing
Reset the " Time and Date" > Nothing
Factory Rest the device > No Luck
Install another rom " CM Based" Still the same
Any thing i can find on internet i tried but still stuck with it.
There is one strange thing though, if i try to add an account or open play store with "Mobile Data Connection" its working but not with WIFI.
My wifi is Ok and i even try at a friend's house with his Wifi Connection.
Same Issue.
its driving me crazy so anything else i miss or i can do please suggest.

Erase play store data, run it, enter your account details.
If it still doesn't work, reflash gapps.

Try to do the various wipe (excluding the wipe data) and reflash the ROM. For curiosity, which version of ROM you are using?

It's a problem of the kernel. Try to flash the Syiah Kernel!

Same problem and i tried Stock Rom but still nothing
Same issue here.
Tried everything, and someone told that its related to wifi router ARP - so sorted it out too but result was negative.
And then found at google that its related to some wifi API bug and needs a patch fix. Still searching in dark

Don't think thats the case, cuz i tried with different routers, They can all have the same problem.
But still maybe something we may found which can help
Try these things :
Clear data, cach and uninstall update of play store.. force close to:
1- google play store
2- google play sevices
3- google services framework
Then restart ur phone
Delete gmail from sittings account then sign in
Stop freedom and closed if it's still work
If u r missid up with host file by any program.. u should try fixed by install any app change in host like adfree or adaway .. open app .. hide Ad then restore to default
Remove u battery about 2 minutes
If all these not fixed the problame ..so call samsung ^^
