(Q) Stock boot animation - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have looked and looked for this! Does anyone have a flashable zip of the stock boot animations.

Just replace your current bootanimation.zip with this one (location depends on your current rom).

You'll have to do some extra work to get audio working (again, depending on rom).

I was wondering about this myself, good to see it's a simple fix. I much prefer the professional boot animation to the one from the rom I installed.

Thanks! I will give it a shot!

I have same problem, this android boot animation is overlapping the other boot animations, then the android boot rotated which is annoying. Is there a solution? Reflashing doesn't work.

Trigger boot animation

just switched to bionix nextgen and i'm loving it but I pretty much want trigger's boot animation on every rom I run from now on. Is there a way to do this using root explorer, for I suck at getting ADB to work for the life of me.
Thanks.

Just grab the boot animation zip and paste / replace
System/ media maybe? You can search using root explorer.
Thanks boss. Worked like a charm.

I flashed through recovery and it worked...don't know bro ?
Why wouldn't the app work though

I have not used that ROM yet but some ROM's have separate locations for the bootanimation. Maybe the app only tries storing the animation in one location. I cant remember off the top of my head the locations sorry.
System/customize/resource is the location of the bootanimation. It is probably named Sprint_bootanimation.zip if he didn't change any naming conventions.

[Q] Jellybean Nexus boot animation?

Edit: As seen here at 00:00:35 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FE1WxgYtqqA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Has anyone ported the nexus boot animation yet? I'm talking about the one that shows the multi coloured 'X' that glows. Thanks!

How stupid of me, sorry, its not a flashable zip, download the file in that thread and unzip it, move the bootanimation.zip file to the appropriate location (system/media). It is there, that's how I got it.

I would recommend NOT using /system/media and instead using /data/local.
That way you don't replace the original animation and have something to refer back to should you need it. Plus /system/media has a small size limitation while /data/local has a larger size available.
I also pulled the file from one of the JB GNex ROMs if anyone else needs it and the link pcfanboy142 provided doesn't work for anyone.
