A college of mine has a Car with build in Bluetooth hands-free set.
He has not yet been able to successfully pair the Gallaxy Ace with it. Since it requires rSAP support.
And according to this, he will not be able to.
I have done several searches and sadly came to the conclusion he is screwed.
Is there something that can be done about this?

Hi All,
I've been combing the forums for a number of days to see if I could find some help to a bluetooth pairing prob, but have yet to find what I'm looking for.
I have a new t-mobile mda that has been flashed to the latest 2.24 ROM (yes, i know it's a beta rom). I also have a Motorola H700. I can get the phone to see my laptop just fine, but it won't even detect the headset. I've looked around motorola's website, but it's less than helpful. I'm really hoping my new headset isn't DOA. It charges fine, but never enters pairing mode. I don't have another bluetooth enabled phone to test it with. I'm really hoping someone can offer some suggestions.
Thank so much!
im using an h700 i got from ebay for 35 bucks on my tmobile mda (2.17 qtek rom) and it pairs just fine. does your led stay in constant purple? that means it should be pairing. i dont see any reason why the phone can't detect the headset. are you sure the headset is entering pairing mode correctly? remember that after awhile itll exit pairing mode on its own. just a thought.
No, i have yet to get the thing into pairing mode (as i mentioned earlier ). Is there some way to force the headset to do so? Thanks!
Problem fixed. A little reg tweaking and the proper application of buttons & viola!, headest works fine.
care to share how u did that? cuz i have the same headset and i cant get it working either!
i cannot get my archos 101 to pair with my moto s305 headphones. it won't even recognize them when i scan. i use them quite a bit so this is a huge let down if i can't get it to work. just wanted to know if anyone else had any troubles in this department and if there is anything that may fix it or help me.
thanks

Jepp, having troubles too. Can pair with my HTC desire and my netbook, but connecting isn't possible. On my netbook there are no BT services showing up for the Archos, which is the reason a connection fails.
i was finally able to get my archos to see and pair with my headphones but it will still not let audio stream. so it will not fully connect, it says unable to pair with this device. this is a problem with archos because these headphones have paired with a dozen other devices no problem.
I've had problems getting my WiiMotes to connect. I have gotten them to connect twice - each time it was after a firmware flash. Once I d/c them I cannot get them to connect again.
Real bummer - wanted to play some SNES...
Yes, many ppl have had serious issues trying to connect an Archos Gen8 to their phones. So far, Droids seem to be the most "connectable" with the Archos. My rooted Moto Cliq with tethering enabled has never been able to connect no matter what I try (bluetooth or WiFi).
My only hope is that when the A70 gets rooted, there will be a custom firmware that actually makes tethering work properly. I'm fairly certain that it's a problem with Archos' software.
Nokia's seem to be connecting also through BT. I've read people with oldies like mine (E71, E72, E63, 5800s, etc.) that can teether and connect without problems. Haven't tried a headset yet though.
Wondering if this is possible.
Anyone doing this successfully at the moment?
I've tried on my Android device, and it pairs, but it won't connect. I was thinking of trying the same thing since my device came with a headset with a mic, and the player itself has a mic.
I wanted to try and use it as a bluetooth headset should i receive a call when I am listening to music, but It wont work as far as I have tried.
But I wanting to know specifically if it can work on the 5.0 not other android devices
What I meant was that I tried to pair my 5.0 to my Atrix, and it doesnt work. I havent tried a normal phone yet, but when I get a chance to, I will give it a shot
OK thanks Id appreciate it!
I wonder if it would pair up smoothly with a Samsung Galaxy S phone??
Anyone pair it up with a Samsung phone successfully yet?
Hi All,
I am not sure that it is the right place to ask a question on this subject, but I didn't see a better one.
I have a Samsung WEP410 BT headset that I used on my old HTC TP2 under WM6.5 and I tried to use it on my new Galaxy S3. All is OK for the phone, but I am unable to get other sounds from other apps (mainly GPS apps). I had some trouble with my preceding old HTC Raphael which was fixed with a special patch I found on XDA and it worked very well with my TP2, but I thought that this trouble was definitely fixed and became standard. I am a beginner with Android, perhaps I have missed something, please be indulgent...
Many thanks for helping.
BR.
I answer to me because it could help someone else. It is always the same reason: the profile of the WEP 410 is HFP or HSP, it means only the telephone sound are routed to the headset. On WinMob it was possible to reroute all sounds to the headset, but with ICS on S3 it seems to be impossible. I tried all softwares from the market, but none was working.
Finally I bought a new BT headset (Plantronics M50) with an A2DP profile, and all is working well.
So, the trouble is fixed.

Hi
Super new here with a question that hopefully someone here can help with. So I'm into rc cars and Traxxas a huge rc company has this app that integrates with the transmitter via Bluetooth. It allows you to connect with your rc car to do all sorts of tuning and adjustments. Basically there's a Bluetooth Module that connects to the transmitter. So to my surprise it's not connecting to my Galaxy s8, it was working with my Samsung tablet E and up until this last update has stopped connecting as well. Connects to an iPhone just fine. Friend of mine has a Galaxy note 8 and the same setup and his note connects fine with his transmitter but not mine.
So I contact traxxas about all this and they suggest sending them my module to be flashed. They seem to point out how it's not their fault and it's android with their latest security patches. Now i don't know crap about crap as far as this stuff but it doesn't sound right that everything else I own with bluetooth connects just fine but their app does not. I've looked around but haven't gotten much info on this issue and will pretty much have to send the module in to be flashed.
Was just wondering if any of you knowledgeable guys in here were able to shed some light on the situation. I worry that I will have to go through this everytime Android has a security patch update which will totally suck. Anyhow thank you guys in advance, any input would be greatly appreciated.
