Download and install the attached file. Remember to also stop the market from updating. This can be done by using titanium backup to freeze the market updater.
I have installed WB V6C rom.
I just wanted to know how can I remove the stock browser and replace it with the ones available in the market ??

Vry simple. .just install root explorer. Then
1. open it and go to /system/app
2. Click on mount R/W
3. Then touch n hold browser.apk and delete it

why not just uninstall it using titanium backup? Then just install the browser of your choice!
Thanks eveyone for your suggestions. Managed to remove it.

Is there any apps i can get to keep my apps the next time i flash a rom?

I use Titanium Backup. It's in the market and I've never bad any problems with it. You will need to be rooted in order for it to work.

my friend is using "ultimate backup tool" for non rooted device.. (i never try this)

ubt seem to work fine for me. was simple enough to set up and backup. kinda doesn't let you know when it finishes backing up and restoring but otherwise fine. have only tried it on while flashing the same stock rom I had. I'll probably have to try another after flashing li2

Use Root explorer/browser or similar file manager then browse to /data/app folder and see if any old files pertained to those apps which ur facing diffculty in installing exsists if so delete them and then try
when I go to the address you said I only see apps not a temp file of last version or something like that, it only shows me apk files which if I uninstall I wont be able to install new or same old version is there any other place I should check ??

Ok, updated my phone to the first nightly build on cm11, everything is working fine except for the fact that I cant modify system apps or files although im rooted.
Eg. I cant replace bootanimation.zip
Eg.2 I cant uninstall a system app
Is this a problem with the rom or what?!
Reminder: I AM ROOTED!!

What are you using to remove apps ???and how .
Are you just trying to remove the apk in a root explorer? If so does /system have the correct permissions?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
I tried to use the following apps from the play store:
1.Root app delete
2.Clean master
Both failed to work as root app delete says that I am not rooted, and clean master fails to uninstall a system app although I granted it root permission.

And also I forgot to mention that root browser does not let me delete system apps despite the fact that I granted it root permission. I tried solving this issue by reinstalling busy box but that did not work either.
Sorry if I'm posting this on the wrong form, I'm new here

Rom toolbox also fails to remove system apps - however simply deleting them with root explorer works fine (after which, I use SD maid to clear up any corpses).

I told you, I tried using a root file manager app but it just fails.

I don't care what you told me (or not). I was simply stating my findings.
