Broken Green Unlock Button - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hello
My Unlock Button is broken. Last time I install app named "screen lock" and after that my button crashed. I uninstall this app. But when I hide status bar or have fullscreen app, unlock button is too long and inscription "unlock" is too much left. In fact I see only "ock".
Can I fix this manually or update to android 2.3.3 with Kies will repair this?? Because I like to use Launcher 7 with windows phone 7 status bar.
My phone Ace with android 2.2.1 without brand. No root.

Try to install the First-UA rom its gingerbread based and its really cool and fast and you can still instal the Launcher that you like

Yes, it did that that to me.
Solution :
1. wait for black screen just before next reboot(try and error), long press home key (right buttom key), do not release, phone stop reboot. If you release, it will boot again.
2. at your PC, start Sony update program, wait for it ready prompt you to connect USB cable, then connect USB cable while still press (home key).
3. Sony update program should detect your x10 mini, and check version upgrade, after it report that version already uptodate and prompt you reinstall it again, your answer is YES.
4. until you saw you X10mini green light on, then you can release you hand. Sony update will download again from internet and flash your x10mini.
I did this, sucessfully installed again with 2.1 2.0.2.A.0.24 version. But then you have to reinstall all you apps again from the beginning.
yes, i did reinstall the update from seus 3-4 times. I think it crashed 15 times in some hours.
Finally it also crashed and restarted when switching it off, and the popup screen appears to shut it down. Had to remove battery to turn it off.
i was using titanium backup to restore, so now im restoring applications one by one and testing to see if some of them are causing the crash.
The app2sd crash
Sent from my Pulse using XDA App
im not using app2sd, but today it has crashed 4 times so reinstallling with seus again. im soon giving up..
heres what im doing,- On Norwegian phone
1. install from seus again
2. root phone with this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906231&page=5
3. since im using build.prop with ro.product.name=U20i_1238-8536 im getting for some strange reason keyprint.xml with Keyprint name: QWERTY Swedish/Finnish and <script name="latin" keylayout="qwerty-se-fi"/> when i want norwegian.
Problem here is with 3. party on screen keyboards installed, the hardware keyboard cant write ø and æ. (It becomes ö and ä)
So with root explorer i replace keyprint.xml and mimmi_keypad.kcm.bin found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=828558&page=1
I think that can be the problem, but not sure
Edit again..
im 99% sure changing the keymap.xml and mimmi_keypad.kcm.bin from mentioned thread is the cause of the constant crashes.
with build.prop with ro.product.name=U20i_1238-8536 and updating i get Keyprint name: QWERTY Swedish/Finnish. So hardware keyboard cant type ø and æ with third party keyboard installed.
Any advice?
i have a lika problem but my problem is i can't write åäö but i have it on my keyboard it's become the other symbols .',
its lika i have a english keyboard but i dont shold have it. because instad of your .', i have åäö.

ICS Pureness Build 11 - missing clock

I went through this whole thread...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738055 and i still was unable to find a solution a solution for a couple of things...I am beginning to think I have another rom than what the pictures indicate. But I only found one download link. Any help would be appreciated.
I was missing the "Framework Modification" but i then saw that they replaced it with the "Xperia Home Preferences" which i still cant find it in my rom
I still cannot find a solution for the Clock
I do not have "Recovery" option when i hold down the Power button to power down.
Didnt get the Walkman app when i installed i installed it after.
** Also if anyone can tell me how i can disable the vibrate when i unlock the phone that would be wonderful.
**Also i know i can put in an aftermarket unlock screen but just wondering if i can add another shortcut to the lock screen maybe slide up to get to the dialer or messaging ?
I believe all the screen shot which are updated there do not belong to Rls 11, there are some old screen shot also. Regarding the recovery it depend on the your custom Kernel, if you are on locked BL you will not get it.
Hit Thanks if i helped you
Recovery not essential
Understandable, the Recovery is not something essential I was just pointing the things out that led me to believe i was on the wrong rom...what about the absence of the Xperia Home Preferences and or the Framework Mod? And the Clock?

Calm down, all the things that you are asking were previously asked in the ROM thread. I asked first some of these. So you could use search button.
Now, most of the screenshot you see in the first post of pureness are from build 10 or even before this. In build 11 there is not home preferences anymore, and the clock has been put into the scroll menu. This is because of the new xperia GX launcher and Jelly Bean UI.
If you still want the clock in the top bar you can search for a battery icon mod, someone who said something like "I didn't like the pureness icon, so I made it by myself". If you flash one of those you will get clock in the middle, too.
Recovery option in the power menu has been deleted beacuse of some incompatibiles. If you don't want to press volume down when rebooting, you can download "X-parts" from the store and use its "Reboot into recovery" tool.
Walkmann app is an addon, you can read it in the firsts posts of pureness. You can download walkmann from ThilinaC thread in "Themes and Apps"
** You can't, as I know. Maybe you can search about editing some values in system files
*** The pureness lockscren is something like a beta, it is wrote in the firsts post of pureness, so you can't do much about. You can dowload an aftermarket locker.
Hit thanks if I helped you

[Q] Htc Desire V doesnt show menu and i dont know how to flash rom.

I had been using HTC Desire V and recently rooted it, today while using an app something like "bloatware remover" i accidently disabled an app which might be for some system purpose. After that i restarted and now what i see is nothing but keypad lock only.
Everything looks ok, date time keypad and stuff.. unlock it by sliding and see nothing. i mean nothing at all.
I did a factory hard reset and it restarts normally then it asks me for options like "choose language, wifi" just like what options it should show after restart, but when all these options are chosen.. it shows a prompt message something like "setup wizard is failed". Still keypad is working means its not dead.
I dont know how to flash rom or is there any other way to enable those system apps i disabled.
If only reflashing is the last option left, then where to get the stock rom or what i need to do now. Please help

Help! Android crash when try modify Quick Setting bar (or how is called..)

Hi to all, i just join xda community. I discover this beauty place last week, looking for a guide to root my xperia z5c (E5823).
Well, i've done it, and all runs perfectly except for QS bar. Let me explain:
i want to change icon on quick setting bar (also called on/off switch button bar - or just the upper bar where you can find wifi, bluettooth, airplane mode and so on when pulling down on the sceen..) but when i tap the pen icon to modify the bar, all freezes for a couple of seconds, then get a black screen, then i have to Reboot the phone. The icons works, what i can't do is to change their order and do all what the pen icon let you do.
I remember i had a wifi issue after root my phone, and looking for a solution i found this well known issue on magisk site: i had to flash another boot.img.
Is my actual problem coming from a boot.img problem or what? I don't realy know what to do. I don't want to use external tools (such as shortcutter), i want to solve this problem. Any idea?
My phone is an Xperia Z5 Compact, model E5823, running stock ROM 32.4.A.1.54.
About flashed Kernel, it is, as i read in phone's informations: "3.10.108-Green_Kernel-v1.16_PR.
JUST TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT I DO FOR ROOT:
- Unlocked bootloader
- I wanted to totally reset my phone, so i used the Xperia Flash Tool (Emma) to flash the stock original firmware (3.24.A.0.160)
- Start the phone like if i just bought it, configured it, and let it install the software update 32.4.A.1.54.
- Now i'm gone for the root process.. Flashed TWPR recovery, flashed kernel and magisk, reboot, root access taken.
- As first thing i removed pre-installed apps Spotify and YouTube just by deleting their folders from system->app, to install then YouTube Vanced app.
EDIT: searching a solution, i tried to get a log and try others kernels. Nothing to to do with kernels, also icons are no more visible, but touching where they should be the system perform their action (on/off wifi for example). Also, when i connect to pc and use command "adb logcat".. Well, now i can enter the modifying menù and change icons order or if show them or not, but if i unplug the phone i'm again at the main problem. Tring again i notice even the easy command "adb devices" let me enter the menù, solving (always only until connected) the problem. What the hell is happening???
