Anyone find a fix? They say its caps sensitive but that still didn't fix my issue.
Okay, copy the code from the website onto your clipboard, then once you are on the adb window, you are going to need to go alt+spacebar then a menu will pop up, then e, then p and it will paste the code from you clipboard!
Nope solved the problem. The Revolutionary tool and the Evo 3D box have two different serial numbers. The first time I used the box serial number, this time I used the tool serial number and it accepted it.
Oh, my method worked for me...sorry i couldnt be of more help.

You did help me out, I didn't know how to paste in cmd before this lol.
Hi, I had this problem too and didn't know about the paste function in adb.
also, i believe when i put in my serial number to get my beta key i selected the incorrect hboot...should this still have affected the "invalid beta key"?

Yea. Just re-register with all the correct info.
I Haz 3D
I tried that, and it gave me the same beta key...I'll still try again when I get a chance tho and use the paste function..
any other suggestions in case it doesn't work again?

Had the same issue with invalid beta key...My solution was to just be sure i typed the code in correctly....case sensitivity was the issue...after that all went well...Hope this helps..

Either you typed the serial number in wrong or the code in wrong.
Got it to work!!! I must have typed it in wrong because when I just copied and pasted, there was no problem at all!!

I just went to the website from my phone to get the beta key. The characters (L & I) were clear enough for me to distinguish between the two. That's what solved it for me.

I even tried this and I still can't get it to accept my beta key
Any other ideas would be great.
Same happened to me my mistake was not adding the "HT" in front of the serial number.
I also tired both Hboot versions and it gave me the same Beta Key.
I had the same problem but right click the top of the cmd box not within the cmd but the top you can copy and paste. Took me forever to figure mines out
Rooted 3D in full affect
I'm having the same problem with Invalid Beta key
I have copied and pasted the key but still get the same reply.
Hope someone can help.
I did a software update then tried again and this time it worked.
I just typed mine in, did you check your serial number was correct? Need to include the HT at the beginning.
Hey guys, I had the same problem like 6,7 times initially even though i was typing every correctly... but copy pasting the code directly into adb fixed the problem for me... even though i have typed it out exactly
you probably need to open the script file from command prompt in order to be able to get the right click functions to work
I have tried over and over copy and paste, re-typed the SN in case sensitivity and all can not get this to work at all! evo 3d and the regular evo are having this issue anyone know?

Hi, I was wanting to root my legend 2.2 froyo. I came across a simple guide:
[Guide] Hboot 1.0.1 root, made easy
The guide was easy to understand but on one of the steps, it stated
open crackin.bat (your phone will reboot 5 times)
Click to collapse
I opened it but it doesn't work! My phone doesn't reboot 5 times like what it was supposed to. Am I doing something wrong? Any helps appreciated. Tks!
EDIT: Ok I got it to work but the problem is it gives me an error code!
Code
error: more than one device and emulator
Click to collapse
and the phone only reboots twice.
After that, temproot the device, typed
adb shell
error: more than one device and emulator
Click to collapse
May I know what's the issue here? Sry new to this. Really appreciate any helps.
Maybe try unplugging all other usb-related stuff, mouse keyboard, etc.. so it can't confuse them as other devices?
ahhh, I had this issue when rooting, if you do a "adb devices" you might find you have 2 devices listed, in my case i had 1 "(my device serial) offline" and 2 "(my device serial) recovery"
you have to issue an adb command to kill the server, but I can't remember the command,
oh guess what the command is "adb kill-server" i think thats all you need?
Then it should work.
If not, then you might have to do a search for the exact problem your having, 100's if not 1000's have had simular problems one way or another, so your not alone and the solution should be out there, key word "search"
Ah! Tks for ur generous replies. I actually restarted my pc and then when I typed adb shell, it automaticallies kills the server by itself tks for ur help! Another thing is that when I make my goldcard using goldcard tool 0.07, everything was fine but when I checked my removable disk drive, it doesn't show anything except 3 folders (Android.secure, LOST.DIR and whatsapp) is it supposed to be like that?

Hi, I've read a lot of threads about this and have found no feasible answer to this (at least for me). My Atrix 4G running android 2.3.4 on Blue Chronic firmware "HomeBase Mega4 - Gingerbread 2.3.4" shows a blank field in the "My phone number" section. I know that using a Sony Ericsson or an old Samsung phone will allow me to edit this on my sim card, however I do not have access to either of these types of phones. Has anybody found a way to edit this on the Atrix itself, either by using SQLite editor or even using Root Explorer's text editor? I can do it easily if I can just find the fields that need to be edited. Please help.
Any possible solutions will be much appreciated.
Also does anybody know where I can find the .apk files after an apps been installed, do they get saved to a folder on the phone like a computer's "Temporary Internet Files" folder when you just click "run" in the dialog box?

Now I still need the My phone number info, hopefully someone has that info....
You can edit the phone number using CM7
hmm, I have blue chronic right now, maybe I'll try to install CM7 again, last time I tried my phone soft bricked itself.. well, I soft bricked it...
Edit: Thanks for the tip though, I'll try it again...
Update: For some reason I am unable to install CM7. No clue why, I'll do a little research and try again. In the mean time if anyone has any other possible solutions, they would be much appreciated.
Still having trouble with this, if anyone has any roms other than CM7 that they would recommend that would be nice.

Just download the Rom Manager app from the market, it should let you know if your recovery is up to date and offer to update it for you if it isn't

You have to use the cd (change directory command) in your command prompt to get to where you fastboot program is so for example if its file path is c:/androidtools/fastboot.exe
you would have to open cmd and type
Code:
cd c:\androidtools\
and then you could run any fastboot commands from there
if you don't already have fastboot it's here

I had that problem when I switched my carrier. I have not came across a ROM for it that allows SIM number change. If you dont have an issue installing this, use that to change your number, otherwise you might need to borrow someone's blackberry phone to do it, most of the BB's are known to be able to edit SIM numbers apparently.
I ended up digging out my old Acer Liquid E running CM7 based ROM which had the SIM number option and worked like a charm on my current SIM (it is the proper number now). But this option is no where to be found on the Atrix's CM7 ROMs
I spent a lot of time batting my head against the wall trying to get native voice-mail to work on my Boost Evo 3D. Many questions and threads were found but no clear cut instructions or solutions were to be found. So when I finally got the native voice-mail notifications working I decided to pass along what I found. I hope this helps someone. I'd like apologize ahead of time if I did not put this thread in the right spot. I am not trying to take credit for anyone else's posts if any of this info seems familiar this is just a combo of what worked for me. From what I read this works for more than just Boost-Mobile. Anyway here is what I found and what I did.
You will need:
Root - For Evo, Unrevoked is recommended
http://unrevoked.com/
For Evo Shift, instructions to root are available on
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=932153
ADB - Download and install the Android SDK
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Patched Phone.apk -
http://www.mediafire.com/?u0uabfzjkebyxk8
Start phone in recovery mode
To enter recovery, shut down phone then restart by pressing and holding
Volume Down and Power at the same time, then use the Volume buttons to select
Recovery. Performing a Nandroid backup is highly recommended.
Once in Recovery, mount /system
Copy Phone.apk from the "3.70.651.1" folder to where you've installed ADB
Run your system command/terminal prompt and change folder to where you've installed ADB (left shift and right click to start command prompt inside the android-sdk/platform-tools folder)
when you do adb shell if you get a $ prompt that means that you are with lesser user privileges, and you need to run the su command in order to get Root Privileges and continue with the rest of the commands (edit added thanks to megabiteg)
Run the following commands:
adb shell
cd /system/app
rm Phone.apk
rm Phone.odex
rm vtt-sprint.apk
exit
adb push Phone.apk /system/app/Phone.apk
adb reboot
Good Luck.
This only works for phones running 2.17.651.5
Please let me know if this helped you by clicking on thanks.
Thank you for this and the details. I am running into an issue though when I try to CD to App it tells me that it is unable. Yes I am fully rooted through HTCs method and Im running Teamwin backup. Any ideas whats up?

Need help with voicemail notification!
Hello,
I have been pouring over the forums trying to find a way to get my voicemail notifications working on my Evo 3D (rooted, flashed to Boost!)! This seems to be the method to use, but the problem I am having is this:
First of all, I am completely new to this, so alot of it is confusing to me! I am trying to follow the directions as best as I can, but it still seems difficult to me! Sorry.....complete noob here!
Secondly, when I try to run the ADB, it keeps telling me something like it's "not a valid command" or something to that effect! I'm not sure if I downloaded the Android SDK to the proper place or not (think I just created a new folder on my desktop and placed it in there?)! Is there a specific location that I should download it to?
Lastly, if you could put down the instructions in very simple, plain terms, that would be great! Maybe they already are, and I apologize if thats the case, because like I said, I am VERY new to this! It just seems like I'm missing something here, and I don't want to mess my phone up in any way, shape, or form! Thanks so much for any help that you can offer in this matter! I NEED my voicemail notifications working, so I know when I have voicemails! I already missed an important message, and I don't want to miss anymore! Thanks again!
Edit: I just noticed this message in the "tools" folder of the Android-SDK file:
"The adb tool has moved to platform-tools/
If you don't see this directory in your SDK,
launch the SDK and AVD Manager (execute the android tool)
and install "Android SDK Platform-tools"
Please also update your PATH environment variable to
include the platform-tools/ directory, so you can
execute adb from any location".
Could this be the issue that I am experiencing, and if so, how can it be corrected? Again, I am really "computerally challenged" here, so be specific! LOL! Thanks again!
Nobody? Is this issue dead now, or what? Guess I'll do without voicemail!

Funny thing is, I'm not even sure how I did it! LOL! Probably a good idea to not know too much, so I can't mess up too much! Thanks again SO MUCH for this tuturial....my voicemail notification works perfectly now! You guys are the best!
Shouldnt this method work root explorer or terminal emmulator, and does your rom have to be odexed or deodex? I get a lot of noobs contacting me who for the life of them can't set up adb even after reading the through the forums, i want to make this easy for them by trying alternate method but i know eventually everone should learn how to use adb
The guide is perfect. I am new at this but I accomplished it just fine. Also just a little help for other newbies. Make sure debugging is checked, and fastboot is unchecked. Also when you plug in your phone, you can have the android OS running. Also when you type adb shell, if you get a # sign you have root access and type the commands exactly as the guide states. Thanks Hacker1313!! you ROCK

Hi, I edited my post with an update thanks for trying to help. The OP did say it should work with an Evo 4g but it sure didn't work on mine! lol
As an update to my earlier post, Well, it worked for less than a day, then i couldn't receive or make calls, said my account was invalid, error code 67, and even my phone profile was completely screwed up to the point someone elses number was appearing on my phone info. took me hours to fix the problem, and the only thing I had done recently was push that phone.apk to my EVO 3D. So I am wondering if there is an updated phone.apk for the EVO 3D?? Any help would be great I loved my native voice mail working on my 3VO flashed to boost, for the short time it lasted.

did you set the permissions on the apk?
I have pushed this phone.apk to about 7 or 8 Boost 3VO's without any issue and native voicemail works everytime. How long was you Boost 3VO working before you pushed the phone.apk?
There is nothing in the steps to the guide I posted that would change the meid or esn. The only thing I can think of is that something you may have missed a step when u flashed ur phone. I dont think I can get into too many specifics on that subject without breaking forum rules

Results in "error response received from target". 2) QPST EFS Explorer, but the nvm folder is locked so I cannot access. 3) CDMA Workshop via reading nv items, but 466 and 1192 both show "Access denied". Hopefully someone can offer some help on this?
AAA password for N860 ZTE/warp
I know ths post is from November, I just had to go through this myself. You can use "logcat" to read this. Start logcat then enter ##3282# open data profile tap on password keys you can then cancel, go back to logcat, read through and you will find the dialer info ##3282# soon after that you will see the HA ,AAA passwords in hex format, problem solved
Thanks for the suggestion. I will try this.

Here's basically what I did:
After creating my logcat file (which was saved to my sd card) I connected my phone to computer and copied the file to my pc. Then I opened the file with notepad and in the menu bar selected Edit > Find. In the box I typed in "aaa" without quotes, then clicked Find Next. Notepad then takes you thru the logcat stopping everywhere it finds "aaa". It takes a few clicks on Find Next, but soon you will see something like "init AAAPassword=xxxxxxxxxxxx" . And you should see your 12 digit AAA password instead of the xxxx's. Do the same thing for your 32 digit AAA password. If you look just before those entries you'll see "init HaPassword=736563726574". That's your HA password, which should be 736563726574 like mine. Write them down and you're all set. If you are still having trouble pm me.

On some HTC devices, you create a folder with a "Specific name" in the root of EFS, reboot the phone and NVM folder is accessible. Some samsung devices, you can dump a partition and extract it with magic iso, and see NVM folder, other newer Samsung devices, you downgrade the Modem/Radio and you gain access to EFS file system via QPST.
So I bet there is a method like those mentioned above for the ZTE warp.
Hopefully, someone finds it and post it online. I've tried everything to my knowledge without success.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I've even tried the above methods plus a few other things and no luck.
I was finally able to get my profile 0 AAA password on THE ZTE Warp. I did it with CDMA workshop. All I did was read/save nv item 1192. Opened the file with notepad, and there it was! What's weird though is thats one of the first things I tried a long time ago and it didn't work, just said access denied or whatever. But for whatever reason it worked this time. The only thing I can think of that's different is the rom I'm using.

Please tell us more, because I tried it and it failed.
What OS / Build are you on?
Where you rooted when you were able to read 1192?
Thanks

Ok, phone is rooted and running this rom : http://androidforums.com/boost-mobi...0-based-viii-ii-full-install-1-23-2013-a.html
Like I said, I tried to read my aaa with CDMA workshop (v2.7) months ago, and it didn't work. I got the "access denied" message for nv 1192. And it worked for me now and the rom is the only thing thats different I think. Hopefully that helps for now. I'll update this later when I get back to my computer.

just did that and ran cdma and its still being denied
So i got the new G8X and have been trying desperatey to just access the system files to remove some bloatware.
Problem is it only gives me access from \User\0 and on. I tried to delete them through adb on windows but everytime i try and run adb shell the phone automatically disconnects.
I know i have all the updated drivers cause it recognizes the phone through windows and adb when i type adb devices
but as soon as i execute adb shell it disconnects. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Any sort of feedback would be greatly appreciated. i Have a 30 day return policy in effect if i cant gain access to any of that i plan on returning the phone.
Thanks for reading
Edit: Im dumb switching ports and usb cable resolved issue.
If anyone hears anything about root access please advise. Thanks all
I have had my phone on ADB and sending and reading data from it two nights in a row, I have not seen this problem at all. I can run adb shell no problem. Sorry! I know it's a stupid suggestion, but can you try a different USB cable/port on your PC?

The problem might be that if you run from power shell command, first type cmd and press enter.

I bought unlocked but i'm using it with T-Mobile and its getting WiFi calling and HD Voice and everything. Works really well and am getting good service/signal with it on T-Mobile.
Yeah, as suggested, I also used it in CMD and not in powershell…

As simple as your suggestion was it lets me command it through cmd now., switching the cable worked.
Still through the phone itself i cant access system directories. and its not like i cant change things it just flat out wont let me view them at all.
The end goal is to get root/custom recoveries so i can install magisk and xposed, if you hear anything let me know. And thanks again!

No problem! Glad that worked.
I can view system directories, and I read them as well. However, I definitely can't change anything and don't have write access either.
Will be open to suggestions/attempts in the future!

I use Solid Explorer. So, some of the files you can physically see in the explorer, but if you try to open it, the text is garbled. It was only after I started doing adb pull that I could actually see/read the files themselves.
