Hey (noob here)
Is anyone working on getting 3.2 running on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1? And if so, could you point me at how to contact them?
I'm specifically wanting the metakey support in 3.2, so alternative would be to backport it to a 3.1 build.
Personally I've got linux/OS dev experience on x86 and ARM, and i'd like to throw my skills/resources in with the development communities' to help out.
~Thanks

Just google for "dexter folio". First hit is dexters homepage. You will find a link to his current support forum there... He is not inactive, just moved somewhere else.
@Jon2555: I am not working on a 3.2 port. I don't know much about porting (this is basically the reason why i have not answered your pm yet, sorry). I prefer android versions that can be compiled from source.
I know that you don't work on 3.2 version but you have some skills and android 4.0 will open source and you'll can compile it. We're hoping

What about this update?
Something better?
I used Folio3x before, but too slow for everyday use.
Poor graphic performances.
Functioning quite well. Especially those who suffered from the button crazy.
Neutralize the buttons on the right side and only use the buttons HC.
Moved to proper forum.

So what if it runs arm? You can work around and get it working in x86 too.
The way to install a Android distribution is easy, I think. First of all, you would need an USB - CD/DVD Drive. I recommend you to try installing it with virtual box first. If this works, then you can try installing it to the device it-self. I don't know how this would work but it's likely that you can't longer boot in Windows.
I'm sure it can be done, even with dual-booting but I don't own the device to help you.

I have gotten the Android Honeycomb X86 installed and running on here with 2 semi major drawbacks... No touch screen (mouse input only) and no sound... On a side note... Ubuntu runs great on it..

His post was logical after the first line... Boot Manager can multiboot between five ROMs on supported devices.... But he just lost me at Windows 8. It's not even available for ARM processors yet...
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

I'm looking for a rom that supports Java. Web app's that to use you have to download for online games. I know there is probably not going to be a Android rom and that's fine Linux would be great. I have a N7 (2013). < anything that supports that would be great, and a quick guide on how to install Java to the rom?
I was also wondering if Ubuntu Touch would support such a thing?
Would help me so much with me endeavour to entertain myself when I'm away from home.
Thanks!
Hi,
I was wondering if it's still an issue that Samsung isn't releasing their drivers source code and so we can't develop fully functional roms with latest version of android for our Galaxy s3?
What drivers do current roms for the Galaxy s3 are using?
I came across the http://opensource.samsung.com/ site and I'm trying to downlad the source code for a JB build.
Won't I be able to take the drivers from that build and use it with the latest version of android?
I realize this is a basic question and I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this, I just want to understand what's hloding us back.
Thanks!
