I recently started having issues while texting. It started out when I am composing a text message the word will not show up in the message bar until I hit back to remove the keyboard. Now nearly every time I hit the space bar to go to the next word the keyboard disappears and the word will pop up in the text box. It is starting to get a little annoying having to re open the keyboard after every word I text. Has anyone else experienced this problem or does anyone have any advice? Thanks.
Try going into settings language and keyboard and clear learned words. I seem to recall that being posted in another thread and it working.

I don't see an option to "clear learned words"
Do you have a link to the thread? I did a search and couldn't find any problems resembling this for the x2.
I had this problem a month or so ago. This post on Droid Forums fixed it for me. Since I'm a new member I cannot yet post links... so...
Google "Droid X keyboard/spacebar issues." It should be the first result. If you're feeling lucky, hit I'm Feeling Lucky.
Awesome man thanks, worked like a charm. Don't ask why I didn't google it first. Truthfully I've just been itchin to have an excuse to post on here!
Just so if anyone else has this problem, the solution is to clear the data/cache for your keyboard in settings> applications.

So when im typing on swype, and I swype a word that came preloaded and is close to one I have added to my user dictionary. I get a big black box pop up and tell me that the word I was trying to type was "hidden" it does this on both atrix's that I've had. Anyone know how to disable this? It is becoming VERY ANNOYING! I've been in the swype settings and can't find anything. Ill try to attach a pic in a few

A new version of swype (not on the atrix by default) has this pop up fixed. I see it fairly often as well and yes it's annoying.

EDIT 2/17/2011: I can now confirm that the Hidden Word notification window has been completely removed from all future versions of Swype. Next beta update is coming soon. Thanks for the feedback, everyone!

Mine prompted me that the word 'this' was hidden by the word 'tits' that I added to the dictionary.

So can I put this on the atrix now? Our is this something I'm gonna have to wait for with the next OTA update? Sry I just skimmed through the link. Im working

Yes, it requires root and sideloading though. Both are fairly painless now IMO. I'm going to give it a try, never had a reason to update swype until I started seeing these popups.
Hello
So ever since I upgraded to gingerbread, it seems that sometimes my SMS threads get split somehow. For example, rather than search through all my threads to find a contact, I'll just hit the + button at the top (I'm using GO SMS) and send a message. This used to continue the old thread, but now it starts a new one. Is there any way to fix this?

I am having the same exact problem after gingerbread update on my Motorola Atrix. Hope there is a fix to this since this is very annoying.
Same issue here. Mine didn't start until I deleted all of my old threads. Looks like only some contacts are doing this...very annoying...
Only some contacts do it and sometimes the same one will work one time and not the next. Anybody know anything about this?
So for some reason my text message app always shows 1 hour behind on all the messages I receive. I hate that it does this cause it never shows the newest one last and I am having to search for the message that was sent...
Anyone else experience this? Or know how to fix it?
I am using the stock HTC messaging app... I know it is not a rom issue cause I can switch between roms and it stays the same. Unless this is a wide spread issue I am unaware of.

Thanks a bunch
FLAME! FLAME! FLAME!!!!
ok..... That wasn't so bad, was it?
Just use search for future reference! Have a great day, Valued Customer!
I kinda feel dumb cuz I don't know if its actually something in predictive text settings I'm just missing or what. The problem is when I'm typing something in, primarily notice it in browser searching, I'll type words, then space bar, then word, space bar, etc etc. However, about 50% of the time, when I hit the space bar, it just deletes out the word I just typed and inserts another space. Last night I was trying to search "Galaxy S3 tips and tricks" and the whole thing came out "Galaxy S3[space][space][space]. WTF is going on here? Are others experiencing this at all? Its soooooo annoying.
FYI, it doesn't do it at all when typing out text messages so I'm wondering if it is something to do with browser or what. I tried clearing Samsung Keyboard cache and data and it worked for a bit, then started doing it again.
I think its definately keyboard related cuz if I switch and use a different keyboard, the issues disappear

I had this issue using the last version of Swype - Using the latest beta seems to have fixed it though.

I signed up for the beta on the Swype website, but a little confused as to how to really get my hands on the beta. Am I waiting for something to show up in my in-box or am I missing a link somewhere?
I believe you have to wait until the folks at Swype send you an email inviting you to the beta. IIRC it took about three days for mine to arrive when I signed up a year or so ago.
This and the copy paste issue is driving me nuts. How can they have such buggery on the shelves? I won't post off topic (not that I could copy/paste the link to that thread here anyway).
So my only option is beta, some pokey free or costly 3rd party keyboard app? Google tells me that, as these keyboards require internet access, I'm at risk of key logging activity due to the combination of permissions they require.
I've been having a weird issue where after I send a text message, the last word of the text message will be saved as a new message to that recipient. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
If so, anyone have any ideas on how to correct it? It's more annoying than it is troubling, but would really like to have the issue go away.
I've been having the same thing happen to me. Seems to happen when I send the text and then exit immediately the app.
Edit: I'm using Swype

chalk me up as a 3rd person having the inconvenience. I'm using Swype beta. I thought turning off next word predict would fix it, but it didn't. I can't say if it happened on the stock keyboard. And it doesn't seem to happen every time. I think putting punctuation at the end of the text keeps it from happening
Happens to me too.

Same here. It was working fine for a little while, but then started up
Happens here to...I am using Swype though. Might be the cause?
I use the Swype feature that came with the phone and I'm not having any issues with words being saved as a draft.
/Knock on wood.
maybe the phone just...
*puts on sunglasses*
wants the last word.
YEEEEEEAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
