Here is the CDMA Razr update:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IRC7YVU8
I am not in the soak test group. This was pushed to my phone and I installed it with forever root applied and lost root. Tried the zerg one-click method afterwards and it wouldn't take. Did it AGAIN and it did. Rooted!

Official. It was pushed to my phone. Pulled it from /cache then updated. Good to go.
My phone came with this version?? I'm confused.
DO NOT apply this update unless you want to lose root. Wait for the preroot from Nitro in a bit...
I just got my replacement Razr with this version.

It's only 57mb b/c it's an update, not a full system change.
Bug fixer, and let me tell you - it didn't fix any. Data is horrible.
Sorry bro but this isn't the update.

You guys do realize that Moto names their updates with the system version you are coming from and not the version you will be going to.
Root can be retained on the en.EU update using Supercurio's OTA Rootkeeper app, I would wager the same is true of the VZW favoured RAZR. Risky business without a stock ROM to revert back to, mind you.

It will take you to 748, but the zip will have the build number of the system you are coming from.
Thanks Nitro. I'm new to the Moto way of updates. Been with HTC.
So is this the update our not?

I find it odd that the Verizon site lists the instructions and "changelog" for the update, yet doesn't list the actual file for the upgrade. And I'm not sure why some people (myself included) haven't received the OTA either.
As for "improved camera features", I wonder what they changed - the shots I'm getting are slightly bluish, and foggy with the flash.

The camera is quicker to load from lock screen. Additionally, it snaps much faster.
If you guys want to force the update (this worked for me) click system update notifications under sound settings and reboot. Worked for me.

We have 3 Rezounds... two of them are not rooted so I am looking for a way to get ahold of the OTA so that they can be updated without losing data. Anyone have any suggestions? The goal is to get them back into a state that they will receive future OTA's also.

they shouldnt lose data when you update with the OTA. if you noticed, it is about 300mb, bc it only updates stuff it must and leaves as much data as possible.
hope this helps
PS this doesnt belong in the development section. is more of Q&A

As far as I know, the only way to install the official OTA and not lose all your data is to be on stock GB. You can RUU back to GB to accept the OTA but that'll wipe your data and you also need to be s-off to RUU back to GB. Other than that you can just run the 3.14.605.12 RUU (ICS OTA) and you'll be up to date (for the time being).
Which update do you mean? You're on the ics update already... If you're meaning the newest that adds global it's probably still a soak test. It will come eventually as long as the phones are stock

Don't think that's possible. The OTA is a diff file based on the last official Gingerbread. You have to be on that release with a locked bootloader and stock recovery to use it.

You mean the .10 leak before the OTA? I'm pretty sure your only option is to relock (if you are unlocked) and run the RUU. I am in the same boat. I got tired of waiting and ran the RUU of the .10 leak. Still on it. I really don't want to wipe the phone again, but I might have to. I do believe this is the only way. It was one of the warnings to installing the leak. I took the chance, and I don't regret it. There is nothing wrong with the .10 leak.

I think you guys are out of luck for the time being because the OTA only seems to download from VZW not over WiFi
Just fly to the US. Visit a Verizon store, and ask kindy too use demo sim to get update.
Ok, just kidding. Many somehow get root explorer and place the otapkg.zip in cache to see if that works

I posted it in the rom section. Maybe if it pure stock, just rooted and placed it in cache/fumo it might work. That's where I pulled the file from after it downloaded.

Found it thanks... But sadly not rooted the phone yet maybe I don't want to root the phone I think my only option is to wait for the ruu or travel to the US by the way I tried to get the update by putting the vzw micro sim that came with the phone but still nothin... It's curious that had signal in roaming but no luck anyway my interest for the update is to try the new radios does the update really improves the HSPA performance???

I just (Sunday) unlocked and rooted my Amaze (flashed recovery to CWM), disabled some T-Mo fluff, and updated Google Apps. (edit) Removed HTCLinkifyDispatcher (why oh why didnt I do this months ago). Otherwise pure stock. Remind me where the update .zip will reside, and I'll pull it off and Dropbox it for everyone.
I believe my Amaze is at 2.14.531.3 (is that the recent update to Personalization app?). Personally I think 2.14.531.3 vs 2.14.531.30 is really damned confusing, mathematically.

Nope, I didn't see the updated date. However, the last release was 4.03, so I'm doubting there is much here. I'm on NRG though, and will make a note in that thread in case there is something for NRG to update.

I see Camera listed ... maybe they fixed issues with noise during video recording (a whole 15 months after I reported it), and I see references to WifiRouter, WifiCall, and (oh wouldn't this be glorious) wpa-supplicant. Is it too much to hope they fixed issues with Wifi?
