Do we need to adb push this? Is there any other changes that were made? Is this from the stock rom or did you rip it from someones rom? Just wondering cause I remember that alot of times devs will tweak stuff in there?

I used Root explorer. If don't work, try reboot with wipe cache.

Services.jar does not change crt animations.. i tried it then asked advice and was told it was somewhere else entirely.
I recommend that nobody pushes the Service.jar that was posted...
I jumped the gun and adb pushed it to system/framework and the phone would not boot properly. stuck on wallpaper with no rosie. than several minutes later kept saying weather FC, sense, FC.. and that is all it did, over and over.
luckily I backed up my original service.jar, was able to pull that file, rename name it on my computer and re-push it to fix the problem.
Can you post it? I just flashed it but I haven't rebooted.

I am trying to get the quick Launch Widget off a Htc Ryme and onto my Rezound, I tried to send myself the apk and odex files from /system/app but the apk fails during installation, anyone know if there is something else I can do or try, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Had it on my Inc and Thunderbolt and some of the files are apk and some are .zip files so you have to be rooted I think.

I have possession of both phones , no root yet on either, both are running similar ver of gb and sense 3.5 , I just figured it was as easy as just installing the apk from one onto the other.

Two issues:
First, the resolutions on rhym and Rezound are different, so even if it loads, the widget will be small.
and second, If i'm not mistaken, the quicklaunch widget requires the fusion.apk to load properly also, all the gfx files are store there, along with images for other widgets, so rhym/Bliss fusion will most likely break all the rezound widgets also. Just an FYI.
I am sure you would have to be rooted and the widget would have to be built into a custom rom.

Really, I just did that right now and loaded that screen. Checked the cmas box on it.
There is a thread in the evo 4G section about hacking your evo 3g speeds I forget the exact name. But if you hit the paper clips icon on it, there are like a dozen epst apks. Any of them should work. I'm at work right now otherwise I'd link you.

So you got the ##2627# menu? Unless I'm doing something wrong, seems like it won't work. I'm using root explorer, putting the epst.apk in /system/app, changing permissions, a reboot and that menu won't pop.
Ill also put the apk in /app, then touch to install it. If you can get the menu, I want the menu! :-(

Well I've tried about five epst.apk's ...then I messed with some XML in mms.apk which bootlooped me. There are options in some XML files for the default state of the alerts which is enabled. I'd like to edit some XML, see if that does any good.

Yeah you would do:
adb remount
adb push (path to where you have the apk) /system/framework
so for me it would be adb push c:/users/taylor/desktop/framework-res.apk /system/framework/
adb reboot

unfortunatly didn't seem to do anything other than reset my wallpaper to the default htc wallpaper. It's really not that big of a deal, I just like to tweak with things. And I never did understand why HTC disables the crt and overscroll glow animations in their roms. My ICS rom on my HTC vivid is the same way, those 2 cool effects are disabled.

Hmm well that sucks. The overscroll images were in the framework but they were blacked out by HTC so I just replaced them. I think the edit you need is in framework.jar but I'm not sure where unfortunately.
But yeah it is stupid of them to do so.
yeah oh well. I thought I might try the kitchen though most mods don't support the screen resolution of the flyer

^^yeah what he said. HTC screws around with Android in ways that seem very unnecessary. Like.thy get rid of all the Easter eggs, make it impossible to have crt animations and mess up the Bluetooth stack. But we all still love our HTC phones lol

Then you aren't looking hard enough. There are plenty of AOSP GB roms, and plenty of roms just without Sense for GB.

B) there are a minimum of 4 possible scripts here: the one he used, smokins script, the script I linked, and "THE" one you are referring to
C) if I am completely missing something; saying I have downs is an unnecessarily combative way to tell me. It's also immature and disrespectful. I have a cousin with downs. He's smarter than most of us in many ways.

I think this is a troll comment, but I'll bite. Everything in the Sense based ROMs, including 3d and Wimax, works while the AOSP ROMs still have bugs. So, if you want everything to work, you need a sense ROM. But, maybe you do not actually like the sense UI, hence the senseless ROM.
To destroy your analogy, it's like having two choices on the menu: Chicken sandwich or Cheesburger (both good). You want a plain hamburger with no cheese, but you have to order the cheeseburger and remove the cheese.
Just downgrade my 3VO, now using Cool ICS and desense it, since i prefer aosp look....
