I use skyfire browser on my mini and it plays flash video's fine.. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work on your device..

It works with skyfire because that browser routes traffic through its own servers that pre-render flash and assorted other things before delivering it to the browser.

Correct me if im wrong, but isnt a flash player one of main highlights of Froyo update (android 2.2)?
But since SE stated that there will be no Froyo update to x8 and x10 series, yea.. no flash for now, but not due to processor or model support.
hmmm i tested it but it works only on youtube so far
wait so u mean that i works on ANY videoflash websites?

Skyfire is lame. Can't really compare with real flash.

well.. there ya go, I couldn't get either of these sites playing video on Skyfire.. the first one kept going to a online games site (of course flash games are not going to work)
and the second one didn't load the videos..
Of course the sites I tend to use are mostly News sites with short flash video clips and they all seem to work.
So.. sorry to say I don't think you are going to get much Joy from Skyfire.. even though it works fine for me..
Sorry I couldn't help.
for those who still thinks that we can have flash in our devices
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs/index.html#mobile
Skyfire is ok for some pages, but most of them doesn't work properly. I just want flash for megavideo, and it doesn't work with skyfire, as someone said, keeps redirecting to an ad page

works in x10 mini stock rom 2.1?
This looks great but videos are too lagy (with small OC - 710 MHz). Nevertheless thx for information, maybe upgrades will make this browser much better
Hi Guys,
Could you please guide me to find out which browser is best for Galaxy S2. Is it Dolphin HD V6 or Dolphin Mini.
Thanks,
There is no "best browser". I prefer stock, but the next person will prefer something else and the next something else etc..
It's no big deal to install a browser and use it for a few days, so just try them yourself and find the best one for you. After all, isn't that the best one?
IMO best browser is Stock, it supports GPU acceleration. Next best is Dolphin HD. I'd prefer even Mozilla over Opera.
Dolphin HD can do way more than stock browser but has no hardware acceleration which I'm only missing when playing flash content (videos that don't open in the video player). Despite that I can only recommend Dolphin HD!

I love mirren. Well worth a try.
Try them all tho. I Used xScope for ages but switched to mirren and love it.

Thanks fyi, will try it. Never heard of it anyway
+1 for Mirren
Tried Mirren, gotta say it's a fantastic browser, definitely my next best after Stock. Tried a 1080p YT video as well, it's working well, not as smooth as Stock but still not pathetic like others. Does it support GPU acceleration?
Thanks anyway.
Regards.

Same here, I'm still rather new here, so can't post the link. Its spelt Miren, and can be found in the android market for free. Ignore the odd untranslated Chinese dialogue here and there =)
I prefer Opera browser, just because it supports text reflow
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
opera works fine for me as well since I use it on my pc and sync everything between them via opera link.. also good for browser based downloads..
It seems like Mirens development is suspended.
Fire Dolphin HD v6 support hw acceleration? Doesn't seem that different from v5.
Sent from my GT-I9100
There IS a best browser, and it's Opera Mobile (not the mini).
Super smooth, on-the-fly switching of user agent (desktop/mobile), plays 720p video in flash on huge webpages and doesn't even hickup (full hw acceleration)
+ You get stuff like automatic sync/backup, opera turbo, adjustable zoom/appearance/etc.
Oh and it's 100% free.
Stock is very nice too, but definitely lacks features of Opera.

Opera 11 supports hardware acceleration too.

stock ftw! next should be skyfire though. opera has some nice animation but not really stable in terms of connection for me.
In order.......
1-X-Scope Pro
2-Miren
3-Dolphin HD
4-Opera
5-Stock
Skyfire and Maxathon worth a mention too.

UPDATE: December 13, 2012, Fixes Major 480p Bug, if you have the latest Android 4.1.2
Adobe Flash Player is not just alive and kicking, it has gotten back up, dusted itself off, and is ready to kick some butt.
The Galaxy Note II is future-proof when it comes to Adobe Flash Player support, although it is not officially supported. The apk installers will be available directly from Adobe, and they will keep being updated.
Step 1: Download the apk file below to your device and install when finished. (No rooting necessary.)
Step 2: Open up any browser, except Chrome.
Step 3: Enjoy.

Works well when streaming video in full screen..I have tested on boat browser, stock browser and firefox browser.
The only annoying thing is on note 2 when streaming, my device goes to sleep after 30 seconds when not touching anything while streaming. This does not happen on my galaxy S2 or note 1(the display remains on)

Interesting. I've never had the flash player do that on me, although I am having issues with youtube flash videos on 480p.
I think a lot of these problems are dependent on sites because they all have their own flash app. Also, are you on the stock rom?

use firefox beta and then install flash player for ICS.
FFbeta will add it as an extension and you'll be good to watch flash based vid's
I have been using Baiudu browser so it looks like having the flash set to tab on it instead of autoplay was causing the issue.
Boat browser. Check it out!
