If I use desktop visualizer to change my icons is there a way to save them so I don't have to keep setting them up every time I want to try a new ROM? I used to use LPP and that had a home screen backup option... But I've been using the sense launcher... I tried backing up Home with mybackup pro...and it saved the icons, except that they were basically just pictures....you could tap on them but they wouldn't actually do anything...
Anyone have any other icon changing apps that save them?

Im using cm7 with LauncherPro as default home screen. I like LauncerPro a lot but I kind of miss the square thing thats around the dock bar. I dont think LP has it but I can be wrong. (The square thing is in the picture). Is there a way I can get that on LP?

CM7 with desktop visualizer
Has any one tried using desktop visualizer with cm7 to resize the icons? The desktop visualizer widgets are not showing under widgets. any idea?
did you move desktop visualizer to the sd card using the bility in a2sd? Widgets from Apps moved to sd using that method won't work. You'll have to move it back and reboot the phone.

Thank you. That was it.
I have my home setup nice with wallpaper n Widgets n layouts - but now I want to experiment is there. Is there a way to save my current layout? Using zeam as my launcher

Never used Zeam but most launchers have a "Backup/Restore Settings" or something to do this.
I use Launcher Pro and I always use this feature.
Is there any way in Folder Organizer to change icons/labels of Android toggles (GPS/Airplane/4G/Mobile) for my HTC EVO 4G?
They don't show up under any of the change options for FO at all like the apps, settings or even shortcuts.
Wifi is considered a settings so is eligible for change but not the above?
Am I missing something?
They're widgets, not shortcuts. You can't edit a widget through Folder Organizer. You can edit shortcuts to those settings, but not the toggles themselves. If you want them to look different, you can use something like Beautiful Widgets that has skinnable toggles (you'll add a Beautiful Widgets widget instead of a "Settings" widget). Or you can change the image files that the toggles use - you'll have to be rooted to do so.
Folder Organizer can only go as far as the Android system will allow, so don't blame the app. You can't put your Facebook widget in Folder Organizer, why would you be able to put another? If you think about it, it makes sense.

I wasn't blaming the FO app.
I was just trying to see if I had missed a step somewhere.
thanks for chiming in with your 2 cents.
Is there a way to change the shortcuts on the HTC lockscreen. I have looked but cannot seem to find a way
Yes, the lockscreen shortcuts can be changed. The lockscreen shortcuts are the same icons that are in the HTC Sense dock. Change the icons in the Sense dock, then the icons on the lock screen will change.

Thanks Matt. That's rather annoying... only four total? Would be nice to be able to put a few more on that screen...
possible to do this without sense launcher?
So I flashed the UKB rom and I only have nova launcher, I'm assuming the config for the shorts cuts is sitting in some file somewhere? Can I still change my launch screen shortcuts without the sense launcher or do I have to reflash the rom? Sorry if the answer is posted somewhere, I searched around and didn't find anything for this particular situation.
I remember using this with my inc 2 .

Sounds like that might work I'll give it a try tonight and see. Thanks!
No dice, there's gotta be a configuration somewhere. I'll keep digging, if someone else comes up with another idea let me know, thanks!

I useapex launcher. I imagine its similar to nova. go to your advanced settings in launcher. and switch to sense as default launcher. change icons, switch back to your launcher.
Ya I tried that but I only have nova launcher as an option, thanks though!
i see. you must have removed sense through aroma.
dirty flash the rom, and don't de-sense.
then you can change your shortcut icons in sense and switch back to your 3rd party launcher.
Ya that's the process I was saving for a last resort, thanks!

You nailed It lol
-I Dial It-
still unable to change lock screen shortcuts
So I just clean flashed ukb 1.1, this time I left Rosie installed. I've tried changing my shortcuts in the dock multiple times and it still has no effect on the lock screen short cuts.
Are you changing them on Rosie or on Nova?
I'm changing them on Rosie
Anyway to change or edit not using a third party lock screen app? With root access.

Actually this is pretty simple. With the lockscreen up just slide the clock to the right. A new screen with a big plus sign should appear that you should press. You'll have to use whatever method you normally use to unlock your screen at this point. Add whatever widget you want. Delete the circle clock (just drag it up to the trashcan), and then slide the widget you really want over. QED.
There are some 3rd party apps in the Play Store that will change your lockscreen (Like Go Locker, iOS7 Lockscreen, Widget Locker, Android L LockScreen etc). You generally have to disable your lockscreen by selecting "None" from the Select screen lock setting found in Settings>Lockscreen
I personally don't like these as they have to constantly have to run in the background but they are there
Henri made a great suggestion though, stock Android allows you to customize the lockscreen a lot now by adding widgets and whatnot
