Guys does flashing the same rom on different basebands have any effect? ??? I mean doesn't a custom.rom wipe everything of a stock rom.....well I wanted to know this because I remember that 2.3
5 stock version had ressolved my wifi problem (which wasn't working properly in 2.3.4 stock) but I want to flash cm7 over it....so will this rom wipe the wifi drivers(or whatever) and cause the problem again ...please help guys
preinstalled modem and recovery wont be wipe, but usually all other thing will be wipe clean, unless the rom dev stated otherwise.

i already answered it. u ask if wifi driver will be wipe when flashing rom.
i said everything will be wipe excluding modem and recovery.
everything=wifi driver/sound driver/bluetooth driver/whatever driver.

To original question - with some roms you will have wifi probs some you won't. Do a full back-up of your original rom then you can return to it if you hit problems or you find the rom isn't exactly to your requirements. Always have good working rom as fall-back.

to answer this its NO..
any baseband will do fine.. only thing that remains explained by an0nym0us...
wifi problem mostly shouldn't arise as most of custom roms have ketut's kernel and ketut have taken care of wifi module.. if rom creator himself changes things then they can go wrong..
performance wise baseband should not matter afaik

the camera is bad on cm7 . this has been posted manyyy times b4 this, there hav been many requests to port stock camera to cm7 but nothing has happened Son go get a third party camera app from the play store :beer:
