A2DP (profile for sound over Bluetooth) is not yet working on MIUI, thus calls work but music doesn't
it's being worked on, but there's no ETA for a fix

Hi,
I have a Jabra Clipper bluetooth headset for my Samsung Galaxy S2.
When I use Skype calling through bluetooth, the audio stops after few seconds.
After that I can't even music through bluetooth, until I make a normal call then the bluetooth audio works back again.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?
Note: I'm using Villain ROM 3.0 (I'm not sure this is related to the ROM because the bluetooth works all the time except Skype.)
Thanks

Just try theos0o's Skype version from here => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1148708
Maybe that can fix your bluetooth issue.
Good luck !

Hi everyone,
I've been running CheckROM v6 since its release and loving it. However, I'm having some issues currently with sound.
Everything was working until I changed my kernel and modem in the Kitchen. I changed to NEAK kernel and XXKI4 modem, and my sound started to play up. It didn't seem as loud as normal, and sometimes my alarm would go off but no sound would play (Alarm Clock Xtreme Paid version and free version). Also, when I open Zedge ringtones, when I am 'previewing' the ringtones no sound plays at all. I tried changing my modem and kernel (changed to Redpill + XXKI1) and there's no change.
My phone still rings and my message and Facebook notification tones work, as does my bootanimation sounds. Seems like the System sounds aren't working or something?
Any ideas?
Cheers!
UPDATE: I've downloaded Volume Control app and turned up the system and alarm volumes - and it's still not working!

This definitely fixed my problem instantly! However, I keep getting the issue sometimes, which is annoying because sound in some apps don't work, and my alarm doesn't go off some mornings!
I've tried different kernels and different modems and I keep running into the problem sometimes. Also, my phone lags ALOT when I'm switching between phone/speakerphone/bluetooth headset. I miss out on about 10 seconds of the conversation when I get out of my car and change from bluetooth to speaker. I'm guessing this is a related problem so was wondering if you had suggestions on how to fix it permanently?
I use my phone for business purposes so I don't want to lost 10 seconds of conversation when switching from bluetooth to speakerphone
Any help would be much appreciated!
Cheers
I think it would be better if you do Factory reset but before doing that just don't forget to BACKUP your Contacts and other valuable apps...
Hope This helps..
Hmmm I'd prefer not to if there's an easy fix for the bluetooth issue. I can switch between phone and speakerphone easily, but when I turn bluetooth on then it always stuffs up.
I think it's ever since I flashed the 'Fully Modded Phone' mod, which I've now flashed over with a different Phone mod but the issue is there still...
Anyone else have any ideas? I've reinstalled the Phone apk from the original CheckROM v6 install and I'm still getting the same issues.
Noone else is having this problem?
I'm having a similar issue...
Upgraded from checkrom v4 to v6 previously and had various issues so went back.
This time though I did a full wipe first and now v6 works fine.... except when using it in the car with my Parrot MKI9200 bluetooth car kit.
Now whenever I answer a call there's about a 2-3 second lag before the sound cuts in. Making calls works ok but there's still a lag between dialing and the phone display/audio catching up.
I'm sure if I go back to v4 again it'll be fine as that was one of the issues I had before.
I've deleted / readded the pairing etc but no effect.
Any ideas?
hmm anyone found a fix for this yet?
??
First you must root your phone ...use root explorer as for now there is no cwm
Then follow the procedures as mentioned here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658969&highlight=call+recorder
Don't forget to take copy from the mentioned file(sound_phone_original_rec.txt)
From the following path
system/etc/soundimage/Sound_Phone_Original_REC.txt
Use call recoder from play store called callrecorder by skvalex and choose HTC one x from configuration and then reboot and enjoy.
Note as mentioned from developer here
**this would let you record phone call but NO workable on speaker & headset
Credit to Mr onepagebook
Rgrds
There is a BIG problem using sound_phone_original_rec.txt from "old" one x procedure.
After a call is recorded, ringtones are accelerated and barely udible.
Tried using lot of call reconrding apps, the problem is in the file, not in the software used.

Callrecorder by skvalex i working like a charm on my HOX+ 64Gb.
Callrecorder by skvalex i working like a charm on my HOX+ 64Gb. European Version. And yea i'm facing the same problem with the acceleration of every sound sometimes. I had no idea what it was. So, if you guys are still into fixing this problem, hit me up too about the solution. Thank you!

No problem with acceleration at all. I choose WAV audio format in settings. All other settings by default for HTC One X
Well i had the problem on my (HOX+ 64Gb. European Version) although i had the same settings (wav) selected, but this, on the original ROM. Since i've installed the Maximus 4.0.0 ROM the problem has simply disappeared. So that solved the problem for me.
I'm having the problem of recordings being sped up when I replay them on my One x+. Any suggestions, or resolutions?

More details:
EDIT! So I'm using Auto Call Recorder, and whenever I try to play back a call, it is indeed sped up. If I send it to my desktop, I can play it back normally, without alterations. The player seems to be playing it back at a different bit rate. My ringtones and notifications are all playing at this faster speed as well...
I'm on viper 2.0.0 international.. I've installed everything correctly and it works fine instead of play back on the application... I can't hear anything xD maybe I could hear something on computer but maybe it doesn't work at all?
Does anyone can confirm that it's working or not?
Edit: no sound at all from the recording file.
Q: why "standard app" in recording setting is unavailable?
Q2: is there any new way to call recording? which is working and does not speed up the sound all around system?
please confirm recording on HOX+

Call recording needs to be supported by the kernel and as you might guess now, it is not on any available Kernel for HOX+.
What kernel does support call recording? Im on latest elitekernel and would try ASAP..

better post a logcat of the issue so the developers can fix it
The audio jack issue is the only bug I found but unfortunately it's a big one. I looked around, tried enabling/disabling different settings and tried an app called soundabout but nothing worked. Too bad because this runs really smooth. Hope we get a fix soon...
This isn't the first time I've encountered issues tied to the audio jack with this phone but at least there i got sound to work.

From some research online, I'm guessing android is killing the headphone operation. Try PowerAMP? Not sure if it'll work but no harm in trying.

I have power amp on sdcard and I did give it a try but that just modifies sound, to my knowledge it won't force an input device to be recognized. Sucks...it kills me to go back to stock but I use this a lot in the car and a pair of earbuds comes in handy sometimes instead of pairing bluetooth.
***battery drain seems to be an issue too. Right now the screen is using 61% (up from 48% last night). This is despite minimizing brightness. But at least with this I feel like their might be a fix.
Looks good. I have attached a logcat for the front camera crashing.

This has been my daily since the head phone fix since i use ViPERforAndroid. Thanks for bringing this to the 610 community, hope to see more of your work
