Hi,
A couple of members from Belgium are reporting they bought a 10.1v tablet with no signs of Vodafone on it. Not on the tablet and not in the software.
I bought my tablet from Vodafone and I have Vodafone saying on the back.
I am not seeing any signs of Vodafone in the software, I have no simcard installed if that matters, I am on Wifi only.
I have seen one testvideo of the 10.1v where the guy was saying there were some Vodafone settings in the software!
*****
Do you see signs of Vodafone in the software?
The Belgium members have the latest firmware P7100BUKE2.(3.0.1 HC)
Who is responsible for putting this firmware on the tablet.
Samsung, I quess.
Why is it, other 10.1v users cannot get this firmware from Samsung.
I don't understand.
******
Guys from Belgium!, Samsung Netherlands wrote to me they won't support software for the 10.1v, I have to contact Vodafone for updates.
They only will support hardware issues.
I am really curious how things will turn out for you.
*****
Maybe you guys have one of these tablets already.
This is a confusing article I must say (posted by another member) but look at the date, it is pretty recent.

it is a stock android without vodafone apps. a Google Experience Device< GED>
samsung says vodafone will do the updates, some vodafone countrys say samsung does it. there is a tweet from vodafone nl that the update is coming but they don't know when.
i'm not happy that i have a samsung tablet because te bad experience with 3.01 and none know when we get a update. i suggest to my friends, family and customers not to take a samsung tablet and look to a brand that support als there older models

Yeah, it is sad, isn't it.
I just read on tabletsmagazine that Asus is rolling out 3.2 tomorrow for the Transformer here in The Netherlands.

So i just came back from the US where i bought my tab 10.1 wifi. As we all know TW UX is coming soon. Question is, will my tab (KF3) be getting the update as well?

Of course it will. Just keep checking on XDA, someone will probably post it as soon as it starts rolling out
buy a ticket and get back to US and do the update
So for those of us who have done this (bought a Tab in the USA, but are now using it out of the USA), it's not likely that we'll see the OTA update anytime soon? If so, it sounds like it might be a good option to root and install it manually?..
I bought my Tab in US and Im using it in the Czech Republic (central Europe). When connecting to Kies I receive: "This device is not supported for update".
So Im not pretty sure that it will be possible to update before legal sale in the Czech Republic starts.
The Tab 10.1 doesn't update using Kies.
You go to Settings > About tablet and press Software update and then Update and it'll update using your WiFi connection.
Where you are around the world shouldn't matter since it'll end up connecting to whatever update server they're using in the US for WiFi Tab 10.1's.
The rollout for TouchWiz UX should occur August 3rd (in the US) but even if you're outside of the US like I am, you should still get it.

How do you even connect to KIES? Mine is not recognized. I just did the KIES update today... same old, same old. It used to be recognized by my notebook in the US telling me the same thing you saw, but here none of my computers seem to recognize it. Weird!

Yes you will have a 'Spanish' Prime, but I do not think there are Spain specific updates, As far as I know there are US, World Wide, Taiwan, and a few others.
http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=Eee+Pad+Transformer+Prime+TF201&p=20&s=16
So you should just get WW updates (which are usually a few days after US) and you'll be fine
However, if you plan to unlock the bootloader and install custom, or stock roms for that matter, then there should be absolutely no difference.
Have a nice day
thanks for the reply, I was thinking the same thing about having a world wide update... anyways ill ask in the store if it can be updated world wide
Hey guys,
I live in New Zealand and recently bought a black s3 several weeks ago from a parallel importer as the shops here only sell pebble blue and white.
As it is imported how can i find out which country code software I should be using.
I received several device manuals and one was in Croatian, but there are other language manuals in the box too.
In kies my firmware version has a "(SEE)" at the end of it. eg. ends with "CSC:LK4 (SEE)"
Please help somebody

Awesome cheers for that!
Do note however, this only shows what firmware is on your phone right now. It is not necessarily the original. Give me your phone for a minute and I can make it say various different places, including NZ.
It makes no difference what country your phone is originally from mate.
Just go to Sam Mobile and download the latest Official NZ firmware and flash with Odin. Then it'll be exactly the same as any phone you buy over the counter from Vodafone/Telecom NZ.

Hi All,
I am hoping someone knows the answer to this. I am in Australia and still waiting on the Note 2 4.4 F/W release whilst most other counties got it months ago.
Does anyone know are Samsung firmwares for different countries all developed from the same place with the same dev team etc or is each region responsible for pushing out the firmwares for the devices in their region with their own dev teams etc?
I ask because my carrier has been advising since July it was coming since August and since then each month they post a new update saying sorry delayed again new ETA..
The thing is, this behavior is not limited to Kit Kat, this device only nor is it only limited to carrier branded firmwares too...
As an example the same thing happened with 4.3 was released elsewhere and months later we got with the initial released scheduled for early December with it being delayed and finally dropping in February. Furthermore other Galaxy flagship models suffer the same fate with the Aussie F/W always being delayed. And now let me mention the fact that my friend has a Galaxy Note 10.1 tab N8010 which is wifi only and unbranded so is only dependent on Samsung making the F/W available directly and it is still waiting for 4.4
I wanted to state that because Samsung are trying to pull the wool over my eyes with their replies to email questioning the delays in Aus telling me it's the carriers fault for the delay and that in fact the carriers have the F/W already and just don't want to release it. I know that is BS because the Australian unbranded non carrier reliant 4.4 has not already been released yet and before Samsung can give the carrier their firmware thy have to develop the unbranded version first and then make a version based off this with the carrier bloatware etc..
Anyway I am curious to know where these F/W are developed because if Australia has to hire their own dev teams and push out the F/W releases for Aus devices then it makes sense why we are so delayed clearly the Aus dev team is crap! But if all the F/W worldwide are developed from the same place then I don't know why AUS F/W are so delayed.
For the record I am already on the Nordic 4.4 months ago because of this constant issue but that's beside the point I would much prefer to have my own carrier version loaded up with the carrier modems etc esp since I want to sell it soon so I want to sell it loaded with the correct stock F/W
Thanks!
My sister bought me a Samsung Galaxy S9+ for my birthday but because she lives in America and I live in the UK I'm having issues with certain apps, especially Samsung Pay which won't allow me to use it as it only recognises me as being in America due to the Firmware restrictions, I can sign in fine, my account is registered in the UK but as I said, it's the Firmware restrictions so I can't use it at all.
I'm hoping someone knows if it's possible for me to replace the USA Firmware with a UK Firmware version? It's caused a lot of havoc in many different ways for me but I cherish the phone since it was a birthday present from the sweetest sister ever! ?? ♥
Congratulations on your new phone from your sister! Unfortunately if the model# is G965U or G965U1, you will be limited to US firmwares. The global model has a different processor and the firmwares are incompatible.

Thanks, I had a feeling it would be bad news but that's worse because it actually is an SM-G965U1 ?
She also sent me another phone, it's a BLU ENERGY XL, the OS is terrible on it, I don't suppose you have any recommendations for a firmware I can install via the SD Card on that do you? ??
Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it ??

You're welcome, but sorry for that news. I can't think of any other options for Samsung Pay either, since the US model doesn't currently have a root method. As for the BLU ENERGY, I don't know anything about it so the best I can recommend is look it up in the forums here on XDA, or maybe another similar site? Good luck!
