I'm running JTs stable CM7 rom with Swype and I have a little annoyance when I text. The new selection arrow on the bottom blocks the letter W. Is there any way to fix that?
Thanks

It may not be the answer your looking for, but if you turn the suggestion box for auto correction on it puts a little space between the keyboard and the screen...it's enough for space for me to hit the"w"button
Edit I'm also refereeing to when the phone is held up and down...not sideways

I think your wanting to know where the mic icon is on the keyboard? If so, I believe you need to tey a different keyboard. One perso reported it works on the HTC_IME keyboard...not sure if its compatible with the fascinte tho.

I find the Mic when I press lower left capacative button but it says "recognizer not present"
Edit
Found a copy of Nuance voice and installed. Now the microphone icon is on the keyboard and works perfectly.
Edit:
APK file is two posts down if anyone needs it.

When I got a message or notification while my screen was off it would light up the screen automatically to show you the notification on the lock screen. Is there an android alternative?

go sms works perfectly as you described, and its my choice, but see what works best for you.

Honestly I looked into a few of those recommendations but I chose Tasker with the plug in Secure Settings.
Now I can choose to wake up my screen on any notification for a defined amount of time before it turns off automatically.
Tasker is a very powerful system app. So if you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. It's a paid app ($6.95) but very worth it. If your skeptical go to the developer's website for a trial.

Well the OP didn't word it that way. If that's the case, then people have made plenty of suggestions.

True, I've had multiple iPhones as well. I actually HATED that feature and I still don't like it on my note. It should come with a damn LED notification like 99% of every android phone.

If you aren't hooked on swype, you might want to try some of the aftermarket keyboards...they do some amazing things (and some do have swype or something similar included). Especially if you are used to the iOS keyboard...its probably one of the biggest day to day functional improvements on Android. Smart Keyboard Pro, Thumb Keyboard and Kii are all awesome.
@kintwofan i have that off and my swype keyboard still has the predictive txt and i downloaded kii is ok ill do for now

My friend that's because I'm an idiot. First some reason I thought the picture was the Samsung keyboard. That setting has no affect on the swype keyboard

Seriously not if there is a bug with it. Have to wait until they fix it.

What's wrong with the stock keyboard? I just swiped this from it

It sounds like the complaint is the suggestion bar because you can't turn it off. But it is less annoying if you turn off auto correction and next word prediction.
But there are many good keyboards. No one should feel stuck with a keyboard they don't like.

Thats not the stock keyboard. Thats swype. This is the stock keyboard:
If youre rooted, I can give you the stock kb with the auto correct turned off and ability to remove predictive text as seen above, in a flashable zip file. I cant help you with swype, I think stock is far superior though. Ive used 4.2 keyboard, swiftkey etc. I came back to stock

Just cause your not used too it doesn't mean it sucks. You have to remember coming from an iPhone you are going from a windows 3 computer to windows 8.
Lotta capabilities you will need to get used too.
