Use Root Explorer (or another file explorer) to upload the .apk to your dropbox account. Then just dropbox it over to her phone. The app you're looking for will probably be in /data/app

Or you could just blu toot it right over with root explore. Of your not rooted you can still blu tooth it as well.
Locked & Loaded

The app bump works pretty well if the phones are in proximity.
BANG! from my shooter...

You don't even need root, use astro or es file manager back up that app, upload it to dropbox and share or just email the backup boom

Wouldn't work. Bump just sends the app's market link to the other phone. There's a appshare app that you can download that will work. You have to find it on the internet because it's not, and never will, be in the market because it'll be too easy to share paid apps.
Here's some info on AppShare by DamagedApps:
http://apps.talkandroid.com/apps/social/149819-com+damagedapps+appshare/
There's also this one that sends the apk directly to whomever you want to share with:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.yschi.MyAppSharer

What I've done is use Astro to find the app, then press and hold and press send. Ive sent one through Gmail.

[REQ] Non qvga free app from market

Hi, if someone has managed to patch market to have available non-qvga apps, I would like to ask if you would be willing to download Sports tracker by Nokia v 1.5.2 and post it.
I would appreciate it.
P.s. it's free: )

Search google for sportstracker.apk download, I found and downloaded it from the first page, save it to your SD card and install with a file manager like astro, root explorer etc...... good app but I'm a bit too lazy to ever use it!

I use an app called download all files(icon is blue box with white down arrow in market and free) that is an "auto app" that runs with your browser. So maybe if u get that and view the webpage gmail u can download any gmail attach. It may work with gmail app also bit I don't know. Worth a shot.
Edit::I know it comes up as a choice for what to use to download attachment when in gmail app. And it supports a lot of file types..try it out..I love having this small app take care of my download so I don't need another file manager that takes up cpu and ram running just to download files that I want
I will try later on, thanks

I have the very same question.
Don´t know why google put such limitations in gmail app. But Download all files did not help.
Anyone have another sugestion?
Thanks in advance!
Search market for download Gmail attachment.
I saw one before. Might have been downdroid.
But download all files SHOULD work. At least it does for me ...
Go to the market and search for "Download All Files." This app lets you download anything through the browser and Gmail. It's worked for me so far.
Echo echo echo lol
I have been using download all files ever since I rooted my phone. I didn't want to have to download astro just to download roms and found that app.
I have used it multiple times to save attachment from my Gmail also.
Pretty sure you just long press the attachment after you have "download all files" app installed.
it works on its own. You do not need to open it at all. Its is like a plug in/add on type of app
Download all files really don´t work for me. Don´t know why.
The app is installed, I long press the file in gmail and nothing happens.
Still looking for another one.

Trusted apk source (or md5 sums of Market versions)

While we try to get the Market to give up the crown jewels, is there a trusted repo of apk files or perhaps some way I can find the md5 sums of official market place versions so that I can check the versions I "source" myself..? Up front I'm interested in Skype 2.5.0.160 and Facebook 1.7.2. I'm not looking for links. I kind find them just fine, what I really need is to be able to confirm their integrity before I install them.
Download and install the apps from market on your mobile phone.
Take the backup of those apps using Astro or ES File explorer.
Browse to sdcard/backups for your apks.
Send them to your Nook Tablet through email.
Open the apk in Nook Tablet and install through package installer.

there is an app called myappsharer in the market. It will let you email apk's without the hassle of backing up.

Android Market on Samsung Ace

I own a Samsung Ace, and I bought it in Middle East. Apparently Android Market is officially not supported here yet.
Now the phone came with one installed in it. I used it fine, never bought any app but downloaded a lot of free apps. They ran fine and everything was good. Except for one thing that ever since I had been using the phone, it had the habit of occasionally shutting it down.
So I took the phone to Samsung care they rebooted the phone or reinstalled the OS. Irrespective of whether the phone's working fine or not, I no longer see the Market icon on my phone.
I have tried downloading a couple of apk online. But one of them force closed even before the Market opened. The second force closes itself when I select any app from the Market.
I can come up with only 2 solutions,
1. Some ACE user out there send me the apk.
2. Some geek tell me how to find the market apk inside the phone, since the phone came with market installed on it, so there has to be an apk file inside it.
Waiting for everyone's reply.
Login your GMail app.
or, install the CWM and install the gapps from there.
Using root explorer, go to system-> apps-> & install vending.apk

Dont jus say thanks, use d 'THANKS' button. [XDA RULE]
Just instal one of samfirmware ROM (if you brought your phone, then flash all except the modem (Phone)). The european roms have Android Market instaled by default (but you will lose your warranty). If you want, I can write a tutoriual for that.
Login my gmail app, then what? Please elaborate; I am a noob. ;-)

Ok. I googled for it found the root explorer app on the android market webpage. But the app comes for a price. The same developer has another app by the name of explorer can i use that?

As long as it has root access, you should be able to shift gapps to the /system partition.
Install ES explorer and in the seetings mark root acess
For me best explorer and it's free

Just Log it in. You should have your market app after syncing your google account on your phone. This happens to me.

Looks cool but it must be connected to same network (192.168.1.xx)!
I dont really know if you want it to immediately install, but if you dont then use some cloud storage etc. Dropbox, Box, Google Drive and then download it to your phone. But if you want it to be immediately installed after you send it then I am afraid I cant help you.
I think the best way would be some kind ofvpn network way to remote control Your phone

I Will agree with the cloud storage options.
They are easy to set up and is flexible.

Yes! Omg. You guys lack the answer he wants! You log in to the play store on your computer, using the same info as on your phone. Then, find the app you want on your computer and click install. Choose your device, and bam. Done.

Well, if you could upload your apk to there, that would be the best way. You might have to design your own app, unless you can figure out a way to adb over the internet, then you could use adb push and adb install.
Other than that, you have to make your own api for it. And it would only work on rooted phones.
