Did you mean radio rom. I think best radio for android is 2.12.50. I have been using android for some time and I have energy. Rom 13 Oct.version ifs working beautifully. Tell me exactly. Where u r stuck
ive had 4 or 5 different android builds running on my energy rom.......
The best one has definetely been this one.......
Try another build because its very likely you've just picked a build that doesnt want to play nice..........
Android on HD2 Energy Rom not working.
Whatsup buds. I'm a tech guy just like yourself and I am putting android on the HD2. I flashed with HSPL3 and I wasn't able to get it to work as it was on the Energy Rom. I have the two files on the phone, the HSRAC and the other one when I load the first one, nothing happens, as it should as it fixes the robotic voice, but the other one brings the phone to the white screen with the Android guy... but it stays on that, have you had similar problems doing this with Energy Rom?

Thanks.
I treid this solution but it doesn't work completely. My phone freezes when I make calls. I must initialize or plug in to use it again.
I tried too with latest HTC ROM, HSPL2, HSPL3, MDJ Froyo 4.6 and Froyo Sens 2.4 clean.

Thanks,
Please can you tell me wich HSPL do you use. I tried many combination.
Evry thing is working well except the essential : my HD2 freezez after I make a call.
To use it again, I must plug in, restart or waiting for a call (??).
I am running Vegan 5.1 with almost no issues. I want to upgrade to a newer OS but not sure which one I should try. Any suggestions??
My question to you is "Why?". If you're current install on your gTab is stable and it lets you run what you want to run why do you want to "upgrade" to another ROM. If a different ROM will give you something more than what you currently have like maybe let you run a cool video game (Shadowgun) which can't run VEGAn 5.1 then that would be understandable. I was a happy user of VEGAn 5.1.1 for a good part of a year and decided to move to Mountain Laurel 3.1.0 only for the fact that games like Shadowgun will run on it.
So, if that is the case and you feel you will get more out of your gTab by moving to a different ROM then I would suggest you do a full backup via ClockworkMod of your current install so if you choose to revert back to it after you've tried some other ROMs you will be able to do so easily.
Also, it is VERY important for you to figure out what version of the bootloader your gTab is currently running. You can save yourself a lot of wasted time if you figure that out first and then plan your path to a different ROM.
I have some apps that will not run on it. I am not sure if its the OS but I cant even download them from the market. I was hoping another OS would fix that. I also thought the newer versions of OS run faster? I am not sure but I am a newbie to all of this.

Since you like Vegan 5.1 then why not try VeganTAB 7.1, it is very stable.
I ran it using clemsyn's 1.6 kernal and it is fast.

Also the new CM7 7.2 which is also based on Gingerbread is another one I recommend.
I am currently using it. It comes with a 1.4ghz OC kernel already.
BTW to make thing runs better, change the VM stack size to 64M.

There could be a few reasons why an app will not run on your gTab or will not show up in the Market for you. It may be that you are trying to run apps that are for Gingerbread or Honeycomb. It may also be that your LCD density is keeping some of the apps from appearing in the Market.
As for newer OS versions running faster, I've tried about five different ROMs and VEGAn 5.1.1 is by far the fastest (you can overclock it if you want to run at 1.4 ghz or higher with custom kernels). So when I switched ROMs away from VEGAn 5.1.1 it wasn't about speed but rather better video driver support.
On more note, VEGAn Ginger and most other ROMs will take what seems like forever to boot up compared to VEGAn 5.1.1. Keep that in mind if do make the switch so you won't think your gTab is stuck during bootup when trying other ROMs.
Ok...I am really REALLY new to all of this. IF you put a custom Honeycomb ROM (CM7 is Honeycomb right?) onto a tablet, will it then run apps that are designed for Honeycomb tablets?

Cm7 is 2.3.7 gingerbread and apps working anyway.
Most.

The ROM is the same android OS but customized regardless of the android version (honeycomb, gingerbread, etc).
Different ROMs could have the same Android version. Major ROMs like CM are updated by their Developers when a new android OS is available.
Apps work mostly on any ROM, unless a certain app doesn't work on a certain Android OS version.
I hope I could answer your question.

Sort of....I guess I should break it down a little. There is a Words With Friends App that is made specifically for Honeycomb and because of that I can't even put it on my tablet which runs Froyo (parsing error). If I install a custom ROM or ported ROM like CM9, will it allow me to be able to install it?
CM9 is Ice Cream Sandwich I believe... It might run your app.
Go to the app page on the market and see if anyone is complaining about it not working with ICS... If not, you're good to go.
CM8 was supposed to be Honeycomb, but didn't happen because Google didn't release the source code for Honeycomb. If you find a Honeycomb ROM specific for your tablet, then that answers your question. Otherwise you might have to wait till an ICS ROM is developed for your tablet.
Hello everybody
I'm not new to Android I bought a Galaxy S II last summer and I discovered root and all the other funny things ;-)
And today I get an Archos 101 gen8 for free ! ^^
I immediatly went on my favourite site : XDA
And I'm a bit lost...
What is the best rom you can recommend me ?
I read that ubuntu is avaible but I don't know if it's fully working...
Should I use Urukdroid or BullAOS (CM7, I'm right?) because my tablet is pretty slow with stock android ... ?
The best would be a dual boot and I think it's quite possible no ?
Thanks a lot
And I apologize for my bad english it's not my mother language...
I believe that it is up to you to see what ROM works best for you. I prefer UrukDroid, some like Ubuntu, others still just use chrulri's ROOTED stock ROM. Advantages/Disadvantages are mostly seen in personal use.
One way to go about it would be trying them all out and see which one best suit your needs. If you like speed and optimization, go for Uruk. If you feel that stock ROM is good enough and you just need root, try above mentioned chrulri's ROM. If you don't like android and for some reason want Linux, go for Ubuntu/Debian.
Hope this helps.
Peace.
Ok thanks I'll give a try to ubuntu and Urukdroid ;-)
Suggest you Urukdroid. You can use it as your daily OS with many other benefits.
I would buy a lapdock, but I have a question, what is the best experience to use it? Currently I have a CM9 jokersax, I know there are different ways to use the lapdock:
1) Flash ROM based blur (but I love ics: D),
2) use a rom ics tablet UI,
3) flash nottachtrix dual boot and install full Linux Debian,
4) flash cm7 dual boot and install to SD webtop.
(I don't know if the last two are possible) what is the best method? If there are other ways, please write them. Thanks in advance for the answers and sorry for my English :/
I would wait for the official ICS upgrade, since Webtop 3.0 should offer the best speed with the lapdock, since its not running linux on top of android
First, you must decide if you want something that looks like a linux desktop, or the ICS tablet mode.
You can not get an X based system (standard Linux) on a non Blur based build. So if you want that, you either have to dual boot or punt ICS.
My feeling is that the ICS tablet mode is lacking. It REALLY needs the Moto 'vidia drivers to come out (Aug?) to get a more useable product. The present ICS builds are nice on the phone, but for me is a step down on the lapdock.
I just stick with Noat's flash (with a custom osh based on the "full Debian" mod) because I use the dock far more than the phone. I would like to use ICS though, but I will just wait till fall for this.
BTW, I use my lapdock 100% when on the road. Even for work.
Thanks I will wait the driver release(i don't hurry xD )
I tried webtop2sd with full debian and gentoo Linux on nottachtrix and found them way too slow. In my opinion paranoid Rom with tablet mode is the best but I guess it's also a matter of how you are going to use it and personal preference
