Alternative Battery Cover - S740, S743 General

Is there a flat battery cover out there on the market for the S740 ??
I've searched google and can't find anything.
The diamond battery cover is awful (I think). Would be much better if it was just a flat surface.
Thanks.

I here tell that HTC will be releasing alternative battery doors at some point, including a furry one . No dates yet
There already exist 2 different covers, black and brown, but no matt finish (to buy)
at the moment.

I hope the matt one comes soon.
Here is a link from Taiwan, seems kinda expensive though:

My german Diamond2 (MDA Compact V) has a matt finishing battery cover.
With a brushed alu part, around the cam.
.
But looks like it does not fit to the original HTC-device.
Btw. the diamond (MDA Compact IV) had a similar back cover. The T-Mobile-version of the HTC devices always had matt covers instead of the shiny finishined.
I read on Engadget that it'd go for around AU$30 if I remember correctly... or maybe it was more...
I want one aswell... The diamond is a perfect device, But the gloss battery cover... It just isn't my thing.
Although on ebay... They DO sell full housings, Which contains a matte battery cover, costs 60€ though
you may keep the back cover and resell the rest to someone who's housing broke.

It says N.B. The product image is for illustration only, not the actual bettery cover. Doesn't say if it is matt or black plastic though.
Thanks mate, When someone can confirm it's a matt one I'm buying!
Just arrived for the full housing for Topaz with matt cover!
Absolutely the best!
No more fingerprints, scratches or soap effect.
The cover seems rubberized. It is less creaking and more compact.
Definitely needed!
where did you get it, i want one

The matt cover is arrived with the metal front and a set of screwdrivers and plectrum to open the phone.
To have as insurance in case of crash!

Battery Cover with Cam-Protection slider?

Hi,
has anyone seen a alternate battery cover with a
slider to protect the cam ? A slider like the Nokia N73 has
one..
open and close
I'm hoping for this someday too. I've thought about it many times as I constantly clean my camera lens. But I highly doubt there's anything out there for the D2. We can't even get any alternative covers, let alone one that has a built in logical function.

I see now I haven't any camera protection on my battery cover anymore. I thought there was a plastic protection on the inside of the cover but there isn't (anymore)! Anyone can tell me if there should be one?

No, the lens itself has a cover but the battery cover just has a hole, you haven't lost anything!

Plastic holder battery

After more than 2 wonderful years with HTC Legend I have a problem with the plastic holder battery.
The rolling piece that we have to roll out to take tou the battery and roll in after the battery is in.
Can anyone help me to find this item or give me a solution to hold the battery in the right position?
thanks
Ale
If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, tape. A lot of it.

I came up with a crude but simple solution to the problem.
I superglued a few layers of thick paper on the edge of the battery (the edge oppositte to the contacts),
in such a way that it formed a small ridge towards the side which is towards the back of the phone. (see drawing).
In this way, the plastic rolling piece is held in place firmly.
(actually have to push the battery further in, just to be able to open it now).
I hope that it helps.
just put a guitar plec between the battery and the case that worked quite well for me.

What exatly do you mean?
I don`t know about you, but i`ve never actualy used that thing to remove the battery...i let the gravity do it`s work. xD
My battery was huge. And when its life ended, because it was a third party battery, I had to replace it. I didn't know about the red lever. So I just shook the phone in a very suggestive gesture for about 45 minutes when it finally got out far enough to pull out. And it took quite a bit of strength to pull out. Now there's a huge bulge on top the battery, which I'm keeping as a wallet support.
Good times. I love this phone!
Sent from my Nexus 7 on the XDA app. GO CANADA GO
haha I have just recently changed phones. Was using a mugen battery and it finally died. The phone managed to deform over the 2 years and the slider didn't work to get out the battery. After trying so much I just hit the bottom of the phone on the floor and it came out so easily. This phone is a TANK so don't worry about breaking this phone

Custom back cover

Hello,
I'm sure this question has been asked a lot, but only for wood/metal/leather.
I want a back cover that makes the phone less slippery, something like OnePlus' "Sandstone black".
No cases, and no skins (unless they are grippy enough). Maybe it's possible to 3D-print a cover?
I hope someone can find something. :fingers-crossed:

Are you wanting the battery cover itself replaced? I've searched ebay and have only come up with battery covers/backs that simply look like the stock cover.
The only thing I could think of is something like Plastidip spray. You can get it in different colors/textures I believe. Here's an old video of a guy who did it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aLaCKVH2Q4
And this video after it, a guy did an iPad in two colors and a final coat to simulate carbon fiber. Turned out pretty good.

try a debrand skin they got all types of colours and materials

Proper waterproof tape?

My Z5C had battery swollen, so I bought a new battery from ebay and waterproof tape from Aliexpress.
Battery seems good, but the tape sucks.
It is not sticky.
I don't want to use bond or anything that makes it hard to dissemble. So my priority is a proper waterproof tape working like a Sony one.
If you know a link for that, please leave a comment ?
Currently I attached back cover with a normal 3M tape, which looks horrible!!

I found back cover slightly open because of swollen battery.. Maybe it was due to running games overnight while charging the phone.
I don't expect waterproof to be perfect, but at least back cover needs to stay still.. ?
