[BOOT ANIMATION] Droidnom **NOW WITH SOUND** - Vibrant Themes and Apps

First things first. This is a animation created by TeaAndBiscuits on Youtube found here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlfhkldQulg I just converted it into a boot animation.
Please read. I am not responsible for you not reading instructions that may result in a dead phone. Unlikely, but people do amazing things.
This is built for screen 480x800. If your is different you can edit the desc.txt to your screen size. There are 2 versions, portrait and landscape. Each of those versions have a non flashable and a flashable to system/media or data/local depending on your device. I have also included a android_audio.mp3 if your rom supports sound during the boot animation. I did not put it in any of the flashables, you will have to move it to your system/media of data/local folders respectively.

How to get audio to work
Download this file (bootsnd.sh) and put it on the root of your sd card. Open Terminal and type this:
SU [hit enter]
cd /sdcard [hit enter]
sh bootsnd.sh [hit enter]
You will just get the # when its done. Flash the boot animation or move the bootanimation.zip and android_audio.zip to the system/media folder and next time you reboot you will have sound.

The gif is slower than on the device itself.
And the bootanim! Now a mediafire link so it wont go down!
On CM7 the animation is located at /system/media/ so to install it you will need to reboot to recovery, mount system and use adb to push the bootanim to /system/media/, "adb push bootanim.zip /system/media/" replacing bootanim.zip with your bootanims location.
nice
But this display aint capable of showing such sweet boot animation.
But it is! It works just fine on my wildfire, I resized it specialy for our screen
Thank you!!! Gonna flash this soon.
Oh and I extracted these from the new launcher2.apk http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11197643/hc%20wallpapers/hcwallpapers.zip
too bad i dont how to use sdk and adb n that stuff

Sorry, if someone can make a zip ill be sure to post it here.
Here's a flashable zip, it doesn't contain the animation though as its too big. Just open the zip file and put the bootanimation.zip in the system/media folder.
Now a mediafire link
This should be flashable
wat so i flash then i have the bootanimation?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
The flashable zip works great!
Thanks!
Ok so I tried The flashable zip for the boot screen flashed fine but the boot screen won't work. Im pretty sure its down to my Rom which I made myself from The 2.2.1 froyo ruu using the Rom kitchen in Linux. So my question is where abouts is The bootanimation.zip on The froyo 2.2.1 rom so I can manually add this bootscreen as I love it.

good job, i can't wait to try this boot
In stock aosp its system/media

Put it in /data/local/bootanimation.zip
This works for stock/aosp as well and its cleaner as it doesn't overwrite the original.
Dropbox down upload it somewhere else please
You killed mai dropbox, mediafire... Note to self, dropbox bandwidth sucks.

Doesn't work for stock for me. Looks like HTC has blocked it or something.

As usual, rename the zip file to TMOUS_bootanimation.zip and put into system/customize/resources. Put the sound file in the same folder and rename to android_audio.mp3. Edit default.xml if you're having difficulties.
Here's another one
I'm ahead of schedule and made this one too. Also NFS, but only portrait.

I'm on stock TMobile rom, so I wouldn't know where to put them. But I think you can gain more insight by analyzing the default.xml file found in system/customize/CID
Will do that, thanks

Cyanogenmod9 Boot Animation

Hi everyone, today I'm going to share with you the Cyanogenmod9 boot animation which I have modded to my needs and I thought I'd share it with everyone.
At first I was about to render the After Effects project file into a movie and then split it up into frames and all that until I realised that they actually share downloadable versions of the boot animation.
So basically all I did here was increase the loops on the second part to make it not start over so that it looks the same like in the real Cyanogenmod9 boot.
Here are 2 screenies:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I've got a video aswell but it is watermarked to a blog and people here will probably complain.
Instructions (For Custom ROMs which are custom bootanimation ready):
1. Transfer the bootanimation.zip file to your SD card.
2. Use any Root Browser app and copy the bootanimation.zip and then go to directory /system/media and replace your old one with this one.
3. Reboot and enjoy the animation.
Instructions (For Stock ROM users):
1. Download the Files.zip and extract it, you will get 2 files.
2. Use any Root Browser app to transfer the 2 files from your SD card to the directory /system/bin
3. After you have done that, transfer the bootanimation.zip file to directory /system/media as mentioned above.
4. Reboot and enjoy custom boot animations.
The files are attached below.
Thanks to http://cyanogenmod.com for the animation.
Feel free to press thanks if you want.
I will not be liable for any damages you cause to your phone while doing this procedure, so be careful!
Nice share my thanks comes after test.
GREEEEEEEEEETZ!!!
Thanks, let me know if you like it if you feel like testing.
hmmm

iplaygalaxyy for android
I've never even heard of that name before. I used the animation files from the official cyanogenmod site and increased the loop counts of second part so that animation doesn't start over until the phone is at the homescreen

[Bootanimation/List] custom bootanimations

1st let me tell you what and all required for a custom bootanimation.
You must have a ROOTED device.
A root file manager such as ROOT EXPLORER
Custom bootanimation of your choice
15-20 minutes of time
and importantly PATIENCE
if you have all these then proceed to the next step
Download any of you favorite Bootanimation from here or from any other thread/site
How to add:
You need root and CWM Recovery.
If you need the stock bootanimation then make a back up of that using RootExplorer
Copy the bootanimation to your SD Card.
Rename to bootanimation.zip -If the zipfile has any other name plz rename it to "bootanimation.zip" , without quotes
With root explorer or any other app that allows you to get to /system/media
Copy the bootanimation .zip into /system/media and replace it with the stock one (remember to mount R/W)
And Finally set permissions to rw--r--r--
Should Look something like this
x x -
x - -
x - -
All Bootanimations are of 320x480 size , so will support Mini Pro
