[Q] Desktop Clock TouchWIz Update - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently have tried out two TouchWiz Roms. One based off the European Wifi version, and one based off a system dump. Neither of them had the desktop clock for the media dock.
Does anyone know how to add that in? Is it possible it is a feature that has been left out until the official rom? (speculation) Hope for some help!

[Q] Is there any way to replace the SGS2 lockscreen with...

... the standard Android lockscreen?
Coming from Stock Android 2.2 lockscreen on my Hero (was using FroydVillain) the SGS2 lockscreen is really a big annoyance and I'd like to replace it with stock Android lockscreen. Is that possible ? (the phone is rooted)
Im not entirely sure, but I think there is an app you can get from the Market place called Widget Locker. You can customise your own Lockscreen doing that. I guess you could make it look like Stock Android if you wanted.

[Q] SPlanner in MIUI... Possible?

SPlanner is by far the best calendar widget available for Android. Nothing comes close to its clean, dense and easy to read widget.
I am a dedicated MIUI user. Unfortunately, SPlanner is integrated with Samsung's TouchWiz.
Would it be possible for a MIUI ROM based on a stock I9300 firmware to provide SPlanner? Better yet, could SPlanner and it's dependencies be pulled out of a stock formware and packaged as a stand alone app/widget? Could any developers give me some pointers as to how to go about doing this if it's even possible?
Thanks in advance,
- Naz.
hi there,
it's not possible cause the s planner is part of the touchwiz, and needs that in order to work...
You can easily port SPlanner only if app doesn't use framework code

[Q] dashclock to 4.1

Hi.just bought sgs III 4g.
Just rooted and installed sammy based custom rom 4.1 something and noticed that i cant install dashclock.
I had it in my sgs II 4.2.2.
So is it possible to someone port it to 4.1?
probably not, since 4.1 is outdated
maybe yes.but there is just too many issues in 4.2.2.
like what?
Lock screen widgets were introduced in 4.2 onwards....so i dont think its possible to get dashclock on any phone running version 4.2>.
Hope this helped.
DashClock is a replacement lock screen clock widget for Android 4.2+. It also exposes additional status items called extensions.
Like Google Play says, it is for Android 4.2+

yes i know.i have it in my sgs II..
so what issues does 4.2 have?
Dashclock 4.1
What if I don't want it on my lock screen but I just want it on my homescreen? can it be ported?
I'm looking for a 4.1 version as well for use as a homescreen widget. I get that the lock screen (why anyone would want this?) portion isn't available on 4.1 but why not the home screen widget? I love dashclock on my Nexus 10 and really want it on my S3.
it's an old thread, but just as a workaround, install this: better dashclock widget it works for android 4.0 and later

[Q] Widget on the Eagle

I'd like to be able to use widgets on EE`s Eagle tab aka Huaweii S8-301L. It doesn't appear the stock firmware allows this, or am I missing something simple in the settings??? It's running Android 4.2
Anyone have any suggestions? I don't really fancy rooting it just yet.
