hello, im looking for the fastest internet browser for wildfire. can you help me ? which one do you use ? I dont care about the design, just speed . . thanks in advance
Opera mini is faster for lower data speeds as it hav severs to compress and send data to mobile browsers..but on fairly good data speed you could try xscope..
For me it's the stock Android Browser.
Opera Mini if you want pure speed.
Opera Mobile if you want better website rendering (JavaScript enabled) and speed.
I prefer Mobile myself, hate Mini.
I found Miren to work pretty well for me. It's got a few nice features too.
I prefer the stock browser.
I'm using Dolphin HD, simply because of the support for lastpass and xmarks. I just wish firefox supported the wildfire!
I'm using Dolphin HD..

Yes, and it works flawlessly.
opera opera and only opera
Unquestionably Dolphin Mini, a full featured browser with lots of goodies built In (like page capture, footprint tools, and lots more. Very easy to use, hardly any learning curve. Really its the only browser that feels like it belongs on your phone. Much better than Opera mini which is clunky compared,

Agreed.
Dolphin Mini is a bit like Google Chrome. My favourite desktop internet browser. So simple and fast.
Dolphin HD

Hey bt as to me i thnk opera mini is the best n fastest browser
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
I use Dolphin and it's so practical, has a lot of downloadable addons which most browsers don't have.

I'd prefer opera mini for speed and opera mobile also for speed, but mobile has just more opertunities.
mirren is just like google chrome on a phone( fast and small)
boat browser is the best for people that like the iphone browser.
Dolphin browsers are like the firefox for the wildfire we never had.
But like speed and nice design and the most stuff : opera mobile FTW
I use opera mobile 11 as it renders fast.huge improvement over v10

I used to use a Dolphin browser for internet browsing, but now I really like xScope browser that looks like standard Chrome and is pretty fast and more user friendly than Dolphin. Opera is good too, but sometimes it does not display pages as they really look.
Zirc is nice one: free, fast, no ads and has adblock.

Still sticking with opera mini altough there has been some unexpected FC's lately and problems with reflowing. In my opinion it's the fastest and easiest to use on wildfire. And I've tried Opera mobile, dolphin mini and hd, miren and last but not least stock browsers.
Which is the best internet browser to you ? Thanks
Dolphin HD Browser

Why is that your Favorite ?
I just started using xScope Pro, and I have to say I prefer this over any other browsers I have used including Dolphin and Opera.
If you don't want to give xScope a try, I would say go with Dolphin as a second choice.
why is that one good ?
I use the stock version, and Opera Mobile the most.
Never got into Dolphin/HD that much, and used to love Skyfire until they starting charging for using flash. Latest updates made Skyfire more buggy too...

Stock Browser is my favorite. sometimes, I use Miren browser.

Stock.
And yes, I tried to use pretty much every browser on the market... and I always come back to stock.
I'm also using stock.
It's the best. Everything is working...
Opera Mobile has been the best imo. Tabbed browsing made easy..flash..option for Desktop so no more redirecting to mobile sites. IMO Opera is the fastest i've used. Stock tabbed browsing sucks imo..and Dolphin HD seems a little slow to me..almost bloated. I've also used Dolphin Mini for the odd site..
I quite like Dolphin HD. I started using it as back ages ago I didn't have flash running on my android tablet unless I used this browser. IT kind of became my first choice on my phone. I also like the interface, the speed, and the finger gesture browsing.
Dolphin Browser HD

Because Dolphin is quicker than the original browser and it's easier to switch between tabs...
I use it since 2-3 months and I never had a force close !
For me it's really the best browser in the android Market

With CM7 PB2, dolphin hd and Miren foul up the flash for me. I have used opera mobile and the CM7 stock browser, and I can't come up with enough reasons not to use the stock one.

I like the "feel" of xScope. I have found it to be the smoothest and by far the fastest browser I have used. Has just the right amount of options without going into overkill, and for me the tabbed browsing works best with xScope Pro.
At the end of the day it is all down to personal preference. I kept going back to stock, then Dolphin, then back to stock, yadda yadda..............Haven't wanted to go back to stock since I installed this one.
I'm currently using Dolphin HD also. I like the easier access to the tabs at the top. The speed dial home of DHD is very handy and convienent. I'm not into gesturing in any bit but I'm sure other people would ultilize it more than me.
I tried the Opera mini one but didn't like the "scrunched" up look of it. The website/pages didn't look right or how it's suppose to be.
I like the stock browser.. tried out dolphin browser and ut was really cool but it didn't seem ti perform as well for me
After trying them all I stuck with Skyfire as the fastest with all round compatibility with sites I was viewing. Though with the latest OTA update I have found the stock browser is meeting all my needs, though I don't browse the web a huge amount from my phone.

The CM7 browser is IMO the BEST browser out of any browser. I love how you can change user agents to MAC or Linux machine. Not all websites let you go to desktop, for instance if you want to run the actual flash speedtest.net without being dragged to the app you can. There are tons of other websites I'm just not thinking of. Plus the incognito mode is awesome
So I just tried XScope and I believe I am liking it instead of Dolphin so far.

I have Nexus S and browsing can be a pain since it can be very lagging. I'm using dolphin right now and i can't see the huge difference in terms if smoothness between dolphin and stock. Can anybody recommend me fast, smooth and polished browser for anrroid? Thanks a ton!
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
If you have ICS on your Nexus S, I'd give the new Chrome Beta (Market Link) a try. It only works on ICS, but I have on it on my Galaxy Tab (with an ICS rom), and it's one of the fastest and most aesthetically pleasing browsers I've used. Not to mention it syncs tabs/favorites/etc. with your computer's Chrome.
It is in beta, but I've had no issues so far.
i have a nexus s too whit ics , all are the same for me but the best are boat mini or normal , chrome and dolphin
I sadly don't have ics... any other browsers?

have you tried Miren Browser ? I have a Milestone (Motorola A853) and it's the smoothest for my device. And works on Froyo/Ginger
I know for any of the browsers you end up with, you can test their speed with this...
peacekeeper.futuremark.com
It's a browser benchmark
Dolphin browser has been great in my experience. You could try Firefox if you haven't yet. With your phone I wouldn't think that lagging would be an issue unless a web page has lots of flash elements. You may want to enable plugin loading on demand to speed up page rendering.
Opera mobile (haven't tried chrome). Smoothest browser I've used by far (there's just no two finger dragging). Also has a nice and easy to use UI.
MX and Dolphin are also OK, scrolling smoothness wise, firefox is horrible.
Dolphin HD by far is the best browser IMO. Chrome for Android keeps draining battery for me by always staying active in the background.

Thanks guys! I'll try them and see what's best for me.

I used to use Opera & Miren, and thought they were the best. Now I only use Boat Browser for my Droid X2.
Yeah I use Opera on my tab and phones.
Standard, Firefox and Dolphin browser just didn't want to work like it was supposed to on al 4 devices.
IMHO Boat Browser is by far the best browser...
Opera Mobile, smoothest I've tried
+1 for Opera here too
Boat browser gets my vote. FCs a lot less than Dolfpin

Runs absolutely smooth. For me it is better than stock. Just remind to install phony as addon so you can switch to desktop views instead of mobile views.

dolphin is better.
I prefer Firefox over dolphin just cuz of the desktop skareing stuff I wish they would finish chrome
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
I downloaded it about a week ago, and it didn't have the zoom in text feature that all othe browsers have.
If they fix that, I'll totally replace Opera.
@plasma what exactly? Double-Tapping on any text-column resizes/zooms lightningly fast, definitely faster than stock 2.3.6-browser.
try dolphin browser hd, trust me you will love it
Sent from my MB860 using XDA
dolphin is nice but i just prefer to use firefox. granted, anything is better than the default browser.
firefox is nice back lack of flash support turned me to dolphin.
but after getting CM9 i seem to like the stock ICS browser better.
the only browsers i use are opera, most of the time and dolphin if opera fails to load some sites.
i have tested ALL web browsers and so far the best compatibility is dolphin even with desktop only sites but i like simple UI, so I'm still with opera.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA
The text reflowing feature of opera or stock browser is not there in Firefox. It has essentially preset zoom levels and text sizes. There no dynamic reflowing or reformatting of text on the fly as you zoom in.
It's the main reason I don't use it. It works with HTML5 sites better than opera, and would love to have it work better.
I tried really hard to get into firefox for my atrix but it just kept turning me off.......firefox for pc is amazing as well as chrome but I find Dolphin Hd the best bang for $0.00......the features are nice and its so simple and all it really is nice.I havent stopped using it since I first got it,I dont think I would use another browser unless firefox gets more features added but I'm sure over time it will
Dolphin HD or opera mobile are far faster and better

Dolphin started to frighten me after their privacy problems!

even though firefox is a good browser for android it's still a bit slow. does anyone know about a better browser than firefox and dolphin?
Use Aurora from mozilla nightly/beta channel. It is fairly stable. Once you get used to firefox experience you'll never wanna miss it.

i am running the ICS AOKP build and just installed Firefox beta.
first impressions: very impressive!
runs smooth and fast. no problems sofar.
Chrome is a beast when it works but it crashes alot.
Opera was the best browser for my needs on Gingerbread but it does not seem to work on ICS?
Dolphin for me is ok. It works well, but somehow for me it feels a bit off for some reason.
1900 ms in Sunspider.
Firefox
s
cool, increasingly better
Just wondering what browser you all were using for your note? Stock browser is OK and I've tried dolphin browser but wasn't too impressed either....so what you guys running?

I have always found Dolphin to handle flash the best. But my current favorite Browser is Opera Mobile. Actually, I use both Opera browsers. If I'm in an area with poor reception/bandwidth then I use Opera Mini. I have to warn you my opinion is very subjective and biased. I have been using Opera since way back in the days of windows mobile. I have tried the rest but always find myself back with Opera. I have been keeping an eye on firefox and it seems to be making some great strides but my impression is that it is not ready for prime time just yet. I'm rooted but still using the stock gingerbread Rom. If you are using an ics Rom and you don't mind giving up flash then you might be interested in Chrome which has a great feature set and is purported to be blazing fast. Either way, on gingerbread I find Opera to be the best overall browser for me. That said your mileage may vary subject to your personal taste.

I use opera for one big reason. Its probably got the best built in download manager I've seen on a mobile browser.
EOS 2.0 @ MZ604 [XDA-HD]
Stock @ SGH-I717R [XDA-Premium]
Running ICS in tablet mode and I've been using OverSkreen for a while with no complaints. I love having multiple, re-sizable browser windows available.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myboyfriendisageek.airbrowser&hl=en
I keep Dolphin installed just in case I hit a wall with OverSkreen but thus far I haven't found a page it wouldn't load properly.
I use dolphin HD, used to use Opera on my old Nokia N95 but I didn't like the direction they were going with the look and feel so I tried Dolphin when I got my first android phone and I've been happy with it since.
Stock ICS and Boat on GB roms
I use Chrome. I don't need a bunch of features in a browser and it is quick and stable.
I liked to use maxthon browser on my evo, but I am definitely wondering if there is a better choice for this huge display.
Skyfire has a lot of features and its nice too.
In terms of pure speed, Chrome. Stock is not bad either.
For flash, Dolphin and Boat seems to be the fastest while Opera seems to struggle a bit compared to the aforementioned browsers.
I like the chrome beta. I would like it if they added some dolphin style tabs though.

Used xscope pro on my og evo for a long time, but it sorely needs an update.
I now use dolphin hd. It crashes often with multiple tabs open however.
Opera mobile and opera mini and boat are good alternatives.
On GB still so no chrome.
Firefox beta looks cool but takes forever to load pages.
Maxthon is ok but not in the same class as the above.
Skyfire is too bulky.
I use my note a ton to browse the interwebs and I regularly try different browsers out to find the best experience. However, as the previous poster said, browser preference is incredibly subjective.

I use Dolphin HD over the stock browser. I havent had any issues with fc on the stock rom or thus new one.

I prefer chrome beta, its fast and very stable.
Galaxy Note
ICS+
Has a lot of nice customizations - seems to be less prone to FC's and integrates nicely with Chrome bookmarks.
In order of preference chrome, boat, opera. And overskreen for when I want a quick floating browser.
Chrome is just awesome since I've used it on desktop forever add its nice to easily sync. Boat is nice with its customizable menu. And opera is for when I hit a wall with the others. They're all decently speedy and lots of features.
On cm9

I like Dolphin HD, it's the easiest browser to put into desktop mode and I hate mobile sites, so Dolphin HD's my browser. I like Chrome Beta a lot, but am very disappointed that the "Request Desktop" setting is not a system-wide or even permanent setting. It should be the default, I still have a desktop running 1024x768 and I think that if my phone supports 1280x800 it should not be restricted to crappy mobile sites.
I also want Firefox for Android to get better, haven't tested it in a while but the last time I used it (on my TouchPad before I got my Note) it still had major issues.
