Hi, I flashed latest CM 7.1 Rc1 yesterday. Since then I've been unable to download any files with browser. All I got is <Untitled> download unsuccessful -message in notification area. If I choose save link, downloaded files are renamed into attachment.zip or attachment.php. Market and email attachments work just fine.
I have cleared browsers and download managers caches and datas. And done factory reset.
Any other suggestions? Thanks.
.:Edit:. Problem solved. Unmounted sd-card and then mounted it and downloads work again.

Have same problem since a view weeks on my SGS2
Would like to try the solution above but how to unmount/mount the SD-Card?
p.s.: I tried clearing caches or download manager and market data ... Nothing helped

It started out when I updated my custom ROM to a newer version. After the first boot (after a full wipe, too), my apps weren't restored. I went to the Android market to try to download the missing apps and I kept getting an error: "Download of 'app name' was unsuccessful". I did a couple more full wipes and nothing, so I found another custom ROM, did a full wipe and installed and I still have the same problem.
I tried to Google some fixes for the problem but none worked. I tried clearing the cache and data for the market, update manager and Google Talk manager and got nothing. I unmounted my SD card, turned off my phone, removed the SD card and put it all back and nothing happened. I really don't know what to do now.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
EDIT: I fixed it. Turns out I had a bad radio. Flashed a new one and it's back to normal.
Sorry misread the post...
Sent from my LG-V909 using XDA Premium App
i had it once ..setting >applications>Running app>Download manager>clear data did it for me

THIS PHONE AINT DOWNLOADING ON BROWSER I KEEP DOWNLOADING UNSUCCESSFUL SOMBODY EMAIL ANDRESTOMCHASER AT [email protected]
I started with a new g tablet when I turned it on it wanted to do a update. I did not do the update from viewsonic. Then I loaded cwmod then then VEGAn-GE-7.0.0-RC1-Harmony-signed.zip. All went well start unit and I was able to goto and download from the market with no issues even downloade new flash from the market and worked very well. When I was useing it the market started to force shut down when I went to install app. it progessed to do force shutdowns.
So I did the proper sd partions reinstall vegan still same cant even get passed the google sign in in the begining. I then downloaded and load the tablet back to stock with cwmod when in the stock mode I did get force shutdown when I would mount the usb but that was the only time. Now I started over with cwmod then vegan still samething. Any thoughts would be great thanks.

try this Settings>Applications>Manage>All> find Media Storage and then Clear Data... and reboot
update . So far so good I did a total restore useing NVFlash. Then when it booted up it wanted to do a ota update so I let it do it this time. I then reload vegan with all the clockworks then wiped data, cahe and fix priorites.
this works for me...happens once in a while...i'm surprised its not known more widely..many people seem to do a complete wipe to get ride of it
from another post:
I noticed at least two people in this thread have had this problem. The following worked for me... At one point I started getting this error also. Driving me crazy! Could not bring up the keyboard, and the message would pop like every 5 seconds. I searched and found this post (thanks and credit to KinkyMunkey):
process com.android.acore FC and how i fixed it
I didn't want to wipe data, so I tried it. I couldn't use ES File Explorer for this, but Root Explorer worked great!
The problem is a corrupt contacts sqlite database. As the referenced post says, you'll be able to tell if thats the problem when there is a .db-journal file in the folder. The folder is /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/ *Note* this is not the data folder in sdcard, but the data folder in root (/).
Just delete the databases folder in /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts and restart. The contacts database will be rebuilt and re-synced.
This has worked for me twice (thank goodness). I don't know what causes the contacts DB to get messed up... it wasn't a drained battery for me.

Worked great! Thanks!
thanks gpzjack
It was a different database file for me but it solved it. The only thing is that a week later it happened again. This seems to fix it. But does anyone know the cause of the corruped database so we can stop it from happening?
I installed yesterday this rom (version 5.2) on my Live with Walkman with stock kernel. It's very cool, but I have some problems with it.
1. Sync with gmail account is incomplete. Everything except the mail in sync. I have notification: "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." And that in the notification bar still pops up: "Permission Requested for account <my login>@gmail.com." When I click the notification will automatically disappear, and after some time it appears. - This problem already solved.
2. The Walkman application and galleries do not display any files, even though I have plenty of them on the memory card. But when I make screenshot or takes a picture are those already shown. I do not know what I mean.
Thanks in advance for your help .
Try Factory Reset-ing from CWM or Settings... (Had the same problem and solved)
can u view ur files anywhere else? like in PC or with a File Manager???
That normal...just reboot several time and it will be just fine...
you may also try downloading ScanMedia from the PlayStore. It worked for me a few times.
I can view and open images and music in Solid Explorer or Computer. Only in Gallery and Walkman nothing shows .
go to Google Play Store and download Rescan Media ROOT...its free and it will help you rescan all media files on you phone....
Rescan Media Root and ScanMedia didn't help .

As our friend said : Rebooting will work.... :good:
If did'nt : Reflash
Factory reset helped. Thank you very much :>
I had the same problem and as you say the only way was a factory reset. However I chose instead to use a different ROM. In most cases GB seems to be less buggy.
Hey guys,
i need help our here. i am facing a rather odd problem which started yesterday. whenever i tried to open gallery, it says "
Not enough space. Delete unnecessary items such as download softwares, videos and documents."
I have factory reset the device 3 times deleted everything, flashed using ODIN but no avail. Any body has any solution for this?
I am using:
Stock ROM XXMEB5
Stock Kernel
Stock Recovery
EDIT: Finally Solved the Problem. The phone was not resetting properly, so for users facing this problem there are 2 possible solutions:
1. Flash stock rom, goto stock recovery and from there wipe data if CWM does not do it properly (In my case CWM did not do it properly)
2. The other solution, the info i figured out was that it had to do something with a folder in Android/Data directory. Try to delete folders one by one to see if this fixes the error

I can open my pictures in Smart Gallery Lock Free but im also having the problem that nothing deteles properly, everything i delete re-appears when i re enter Smart Gallery
I have tried removing the files directly from "My Files" but it will only work on the extSdCard not sdcard0 its says deleted but doesnt go anywhere.
I have looked at your point 2. but i dont know what i can delete without making things worse

whenever i reinstall instagram the issue with the gallery comes back.
New phone is working fine and I also got update notification for Android 12. Now the problem is that at around 10% I stopped the download and after a while I accidentally deleted the downloaded file from the downloads folder. Now whenever I'm clicking on update button it starts from 10% instead of 0%. I'm worried it might download corrupt file. What should I do now?

You could try (no guarantee):
Settings, Apps, Manage apps
three dots, Show system apps
Updater
Clear cache, if not enough then Clear Data

Thanks for replying. I tried clearing the data of Updater app but the problem still persisted. So, I cleaned the "downloads" apps data also. That did the trick for now. Its now downloading from 0%. Will update once process is done. Thanks again.
Edit:
Successfully updated my new 11 Lite NE 5G phone. No issues so far. Great phone.
