Hi all, I've recently updated my gf's x10 to gingerbread. It's working a treat but she's giving me grief because she has no flashing led for sms or missed call notifications! Crazy woman, never happy lol. Is there a way to switch it back on, its not in the display settings, or has it been removed from gingerbread?

For me, I have LED notifications in GB.
It flashes white for a brief moment when a new notification is registered in the statusbar and then the LED starts flashing green.
But the screen has to be OFF.
Also it's cool, because the LED flashes for notifications even while charging!

Been using it for about 2 weeks now, works really well, just wish the light would stay on constant instead of flsahing, had the light setup like that on my old Desire running MIUI, found it really handy having it on constant. But not to worry, not a huge problem.
I just installed Light Flow and for some reason it only works when my phone is in sleep mode. Is this normal? How do you set it up. Thanks

My notifications started working like normal again. So I got my photon in August last year and the notifications worked good for about a month and after that only the green led notification worked. Now I'm back to green, blue and vibrate all working again woot!
Blue? I only ever got green and red

There is an app that lets you customize the different colors you want for whatever notification.
Lightflow is one.

Yep, Lightflow works great and lets you customize pretty much any notification / color.
I get blue from facebook notifications.

Phone will make random sounds and I had no idea why lol. Like I just opened xda app and a Damn bell rang. Been using xda and hasn't done that before. No notifications or anything. Orange notification also comes on for no apparent reason. School me please and don't flame me lol....I'm new to ICS so.......

If you're using the new Google+ app on your phone, Google have recently changed how notifications show. The Notification LED will glow a redish-orange now (similar to the colour of the icon). I'm not sure if this could be it if there's no notifications visible though...
hi. everytime i receive a notification, instead of the flashing blue status light.. i get a steady red light. any idea what could be causing this?
Do you have any led apps that change the color of your led? Or do you have the red charging led indicator notification on?

no extra apps for the LED. and yes i do have the box checked so that it lights up when it's charging.. but my phone is not charging.

Light flow on the play store, only bug with that is that a green led stays on when you turn off the screen, but I hear the dev is working on it.

turns out the steady red led light happens when there's a facebook notification. is this the same for everyone?

I've noticed the same thing. When I get a Facebook notification, it is a solid red light. Other notifications get a flashing blue light. I don't think I've gotten a single notification that uses a green light yet.
Light Flow doesn't work that well for me for some reason, though. I've uninstalled it for now, but it looks like they're working on it for both Jelly Bean and the US GSIII, so hopefully an upcoming update will get us set up.
i just got a droid DNA the other day and i love it, but the green notification light keeps blinking even if there's nothing new. i've turned off LED notifications and still keeps flashing. help?

If you have a 3rd party messaging app like Handcent or ChompSMS, you have to go into the stock messaging app and turn off notifications. Most likely you are being notified of something through 2 apps.
