I've been told by several people that I sound muffled. Is anyone else experiencing this? And is there a fix?

Have your s.o. remove the gag when she allows you to make phone calls??
(of course, that could just be an isolated situation for me....)

I have the same problem. Everyone keeps telling me they can't hear me or understand me. It's like the microphone is not picking me up when I first start speaking each word. Getting pissed about it.

I had this same problem. I took my 3VO to my Sprint store with a repair center. My favorite tech authorized an exchange and made sure I got a new one, since I was within my first 30 days.

i can't get over fact that people actually accept paying full price for faulty or subpar service or hardware. people like you make companies think it's ok to take shortcuts.

mine was the same way. i did a test with myself and noticed that sometimes the mic wouldn't pick up until my second word. then it would work fine, the go back to crap. my wife would always have to have me repeat what i said multiple times.

And it's people with responses like this that make this forum suck.
If you have no suggestion to help OP with sound quality....get the hell out of the thread.
OP....there is a setting in call setting (I believe) for hard of hearing that ups the volume significantly although I don't know if it reduces muffling at the other end.
Try hard resetting of not. Then definitely keep demanding another one til it works.

Tell her you're not tracking her texts, the guy she's texting keeps forwarding them to you and you'd like him to stop.
Then trade her in for a newer model with the latest updates.

maybe he a controlling douche bag. *just sayin*
either way, it's not good.
So many ignorant and sexist assumptions here, it's disgusting. Some of you guys are downright pathetic.
OP, talk it out with your girlfriend, if she's genuinely paranoid, figure out the root of the paranoia, and explain to her carefully how there is nothing you can "monitor", and doing so is illegal anyway.
Just because someone is paranoid about privacy doesn't mean they have something to hide, especially when it could be that the person in question is new to the idea of a smartphone (especially a smartphone that powerful and versatile).
Unless her worries are truly causing friction in your relationship, if she is still paranoid, just let it go.

I'm sorry to hear that, but that doesn't quite change what I said before; there's no need to assume every woman that is worried about privacy is a whore. That's just disgusting sexism, regardless of whether or not one thinks it's always true.
Again, sorry to hear that, I hope you find someone else you can trust better.

I'm a douche bag. Usually the first person to start accusing is the guilty one. Anyway, XDA is not match.com. The only way you can legally monitor her text messages is if you pay the bill. Then you can get all the texts forwarded to you via email, Sprint will go back 90 days.

I said I know that but I want to know why the Rezound one is not available and when it will be.
"We dont have that information"
Ok who does?
"We dont know"
What? well what department handles that kind of stuff.
"There isnt one"
There has to be someone who makes the unlocking tools and posts them right?
"We dont have that information, all I can say is to maybe contact the corporate office"
Ok what is the number.
"I cant give it you to you"

First I would like to thank all the DEV's for all the great things you have done for many, many phones over the years. Second I see a lot of people getting pissy over the 2.04 FW for the DNA. I updated before getting the unlock.bin, I was a day late and a buck short on finding out I could not unlock the new bootloader, whose fault was that? Mine and mine alone. I bought this phone in the first place because I liked the specs and kinda figured XDA would have it figured out, and you did. I have always appreciated everything XDA has brought to the table for me since hmm since a boatload of phones ago, I did then and do now. Some people here need to be reminded that you guys put in a lot of hours and work for the mods and write ups you bring us on your own free will and most likely are not making a ton of money for doing it.
If you guys are working on it then great and thank you, if you think it's time to move on to a new project and those of us that updated are SOL then I DO NOT hold it against you or take it personally and still thank you for all the great work you have done thus far.
Thanks,
Shane
Yes, I agree totally.
And would only like to make it known that I'd be willing pony up the donation to make it possible for us too. As I would hope many others would also...?
Thanks again.

People need to realize that a lot of these guys have families or are in school and do this for fun. One guy had posted up that he was super sick and wasnt gonna be doing much and people still blew the thread up asking when he was going to work on it again. What these guys do is great and it is leaps and bounds more amazing than the iOS community I came from. (Prior iphone owner).

I'm sure that's EXACTLY how the devs feel. </sarcasm>
While normally I might agree with you, so what, this is just a general forum, and there a still plenty of people who need to realize that these devs are random people just like them. These devs just happen to have some know how and willingly spend (a lot of) their own time working on tweaking things. Then they're nice enough to share that work with the world, often asking for nothing more than sharing their work and credit where it's due.
And I know of a few who are doing that... I understand who your are speaking to and I agree.
I'm just saying it's understandable that they're upset. Me, I traded it knowing I'm gonna have to wait and am trying not to cry about it. It may get cracked or maybe not, still a great phone!

I don't think this is a keep your phone scam. I fix and build PC's on the side and I have strangers give me laptops, desktop, ipods, phones, and other junk all the time to be fixed. And when something needs parts they give me credit card numbers. Maybe they can send you some sort of email contract or receipt or something.
Yeah after wagching the video and reading through twitter a bit, it seems legit. I'm definitely going to send it in if the price makes sense.
