then it's dust most likely. if you didn't buy your phone new or if it was a refurb, it could've happened when they were replacing the glass. another possibility is that your phone was dropped and it let in a spec of dust.
i'd recommend taking it to an at&t store and telling them.

I don't know if it's GG but if you look real close at the LED's you will see some type of screen protector film.

Its only gorilla glass on the screen.
There is no Gorilla Glass anywhere on the EVO 3D. HTC has confirmed it several times with many of us.

Hey guys, I accidentally dropped my SGA and the screen cracked. It's not THAT bad, but since it has Gorilla Glass I want to know if it's repairable or what. Tomorrow, I'm going over my carrier's attention center to see if there's anything they can do about it. Any thoughts?
They can replace it. Oddly gorilla glass is really scratch resistant but super brittle.
Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
Aw man, are you serious? I thought it was unbreakable or something. And here I was going to make some tests on mine. Lmao thanks for the heads up xD
Ha ha. I hope they do fix it. 'Cause if not, I'm gonna buy a new smartphone. It wouldn't be the SGA, it had to be better. Anyway, back to topic, it seems like Gorilla Glass is TEH BRITTLE when it comes to falls. Just visit the Dell Streak forums, lol.

I've just replaced that on mine, took about 30 mins and cost me £11
I also found this place:
http://www.tvc-mall.com/user/product.asp?skey=samsung+galaxy+ace&type=all&btn_search=
With a lot of items for the SGA, included the digitizer. So it's only the digitizer I will need?
I ordered digitiser, housing and screen (as mine had been run over by a car!!!) only the digitiser and housing needed replacing (only cos the camera lens had been scratched) screen was 100% perfect once I took the digitiser off. Have replied to your message, good luck

Correct. Its not a "shatter proof" sheet but a factory installed screen protector. There's an extra screen protector included on some markets.

Is that so? I heard that almost every Sony (Ericsson) device comes with the pre-applied shatter proof sheet and it takes some force to remove it. I might be wrong anyway.

No need, the one that is already applied is more than enough. Just keep it as a spare.
I dont think the screen responds as good if you put another on top

Got mine from O2, UK. All I had was a cloudy screen film with descriptions on. I had to remove it to see the screen properly and applied the provided screen protector, and have two irritating bubbles! Would be nicer if they were all fixed on from factory. Although looking back at it, it seems like there is another layer below that - visible on left side only mainly because the screen protector isn't in perfect alignment. Bottom layer seems like it's thin piece of glass rather that plastic.
Anyone has the same as me?
I put it onto the sheet, and it works quite fine. Double protection

Has anyone removed the factory fitted protector? I generally don't use protection (hurr) and think this one just attracts more muck than anything. I've never had a problem with scratching screens so I'm not convinced it's necessary in my case.
So if anyone has removed it, is it glass? Is it difficult to remove? Was it a terrible idea?

I bought a pretty expensive martin fields screen protector because I'm very scared to damage the display or ruin the quality with a cheap dealextreme screen protector.
Do you suggest I use the pre applied screen protector until there are scratches on it, pull it off with force and apply the martin fields on the glass or do i put on the martin fields screen protector straight on the pre applied one?
i heard that the pre applied one is not designed to be taken off... so i'm not really sure

Yes there is a shatterproof sheet stuck on the screen. It prevents pieces of the screen falling out of you drop your phone and break it.

No, leave it as it is. The pre-installed sheet is not a "protector" and it gets scratched easily. Or if you're unsatisfied with the screen's function now, remove both the preinstalled sheet and the screen protector you put on, then install a quality screen protector and that's that.

I woke up this morning and there is a damn ant walking under my screen, it better doesn't die in a visible place, I'll try using sugar to lure it out, but anyways keep your device away from these damn ****s.
Edit: OK guys for now I think that I managed to crush it under one of the corners by applying pressure as soon as it left the screen, but you wouldn't want to wake up to a dead ant in the middle of your screen.
Wow. Thanks for the heads up. I just moved my n10 away from my ant farm.
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
How is this possible? I'm pretty sure that the screen area needs to be airtight to prevent buildup of dust. Does your screen have dust under it?
If an ant got in then that must mean that it is not airtight.
Hahaha xda ftw

How else? Do they have an email for these things? I'm not in the US so calling is troublesome.
Here's section to email Google Play Support. I'd imagine you would choose the last option, general technical support question.
Sorry forgot the link and had to wait 5 minutes to edit: http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/static.py?hl=en&ts=2715807&page=ts.cs
When I dealt with them, the email I would always reply to was [email protected]

It's pretty sad that the gorilla glass isn't optically bonded like many other devices (MS Surface etc.), it's just a glass that's approx 1mm above the LCD screen (just air), if you press the glass you will see the glass touching the LCD

Lmao
This thread is hilarious but I would like to just say that I had one of these in my LCD monitor and squashed it in the middle of the screen much to my dismay. Anyway I don't think they're ants but maybe Thrips. And it seems to be a common problem; see http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=bugs+in+lcd+screen.
It's an ant, I've seen them (the same kind) wandering around my house or when I leave something with sugar in a random place.
Your Nexus has a screen "bug" . lol
