[Q] Locked counter of codes

Hi all,
Ive got a hugh problem. Ive bought xperia about months ago, and still cant use it;/ my problem is that my xperia has simlock. I wanted to unlock this but it turned out that the counter is locked ;( i cant put any codes to remove simlock. does anyone has such a problem as i have? how did you reset the counter?
Here is the solution :http://www.htccode.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1916
Cable method is the only way.
it means that i also have to pay for this program to unlock the counter and what I've already done for the code...
Sum it up 40$ and what ive paid next 40$ for codes which doesnt work... 120$ to finally start using this device...
Any other free solution to unlock the counter?

Get a refund on the phone...
Although it's a little pricey, HTCCode.com can unlock your phone for sure. I had the same problem with you, my phone was counter blocked cuz I entered the wrong unlock code too many times. HTCCode was the only place that could unlock my phone even when it is counter blocked. There is no free way of doing it, trust me. Why didn't you get a refund for the unlock codes in the first place? I had a problem with getting my refund too cuz some of them were tricky but I filed a complaint with PayPal and they gave me a refund. I've tried at least half a dozen of the unlocking services out there and none of them could unlock my phone until I found HTCCode. Now, I'm enjoying my X10

Regenersis REpair Report

Does toshiba have a WAy to know if the Unlock code i used is from Orange or Ebay?
I Sent the phone to Regenergis Repair center and i got it replaced (even i had to pay around 16£ of postage costs) From Portugal
I got the phone back locked to the network again.

Unlocking/relocking

Ok so I should be getting a locked to o2 galaxy s 2. I will be unlocking it. When I get it is another issue all together, thanks o2. My question is whether it is possible to "relock it" just in case I need to return it.
Any one knows of a way? Thanks.
I got one from O2 on tuesday (Instore) and it was already unlocked! but if yours isnt then i think there was someone on ebay selling the unlock code for £12
but O2 will send you an unlocking code for free if you call and ask them, but it may take a while. you wont need to relock it as O2 allow you to unlock it as its completely legal.
Thanks, but so if I unlock it using for example the unlock codes found on ebay I should have no problem with regards to warranty, right?
Lock is not a legal requirement as long as unlocking does not break your phone it does not matter in the warranty stakes .

[Q] Frequent Crashes, Debranding

So I've been reading forums like every day since the 12th(launch in Canada), when I got my phone. So it's not like I came right on to ask questions without reading anything.
2 questions.
First is:
About half a week ago-a week ago I was reading about someone having frequent crashes and didn't really think much of it because my phone was working fine. People suggested backup and restore with pc companion, as well as taking it back to the dealer for replacement ect ect. Moral of the story is mine is now randomly giving me errors asking me to force-quit. like maybe 3-5 times a day? Is this common for an android device? Should I even be worried at all?(Not really sure what I should be expecting in reference to what other people are experiencing.)
Secondly:
So I've read a bit about debranding, would that be an option with a locked bootloader, and would that remove all of the bloatware shoved down my throat by my carrier? If so, which debranding pack(not sure on the terminology here=/) would be best to use if wanting to be as light as possible. Would a factory reset afterwards remove the debranding?
Extra Info: Unfortunately because Rogers in Canada owns the rights to selling Sony Ericsson's even purchasing the XpS directly from the Sony store(which I did)($500 Cad. +12% sales tax) limits you to a carrier lock via Rogers. (and a locked bootloader) Unit comes stock with .73.
Thanks in advance.
For second question answear is that you can debrand with locked bootloader with no problem (you just can not instal custom roms).
So far lightest would be Nordic software and personally I like to use UK generic where all unnessary apps can be deleted .
Factory reset would not remove debranding ( just resets settings and all of your customizations).
If you want to sim unlock your phone it is not difficult just order unlock code. I got mine for $5 from ebay, received code in one hour, now using it with fido.
Hmm you're with fido now? Wouldn't the unlock code be the be the same? Care to share?
Thanks for the information on debranding.

Unlock code depends on imei number of your phone.
I can share mine but it will not be accepted by your phone since unlock code is unique to each phone. Once you try to insert anything other then rogers sim card your phone will ask for unlock code, you have only 10 tries, after that phone will be permanently locked to rogers, so make sure you submit your imei correctly in order to receive correct unlock code.
In ebay just type unlock code rogers sony ericsson , the seller i used was freedommobile they charged me $5.49+taxx, see no point paying more then that.
Wow yeah.. I had no idea you only had like 10 tries. Can that be reset that counter via custom ROMing? I understand that custom ROMing sometimes unlocks, I was more or less asking out of curiosity.
Also.. If doing a factory reset wouldn't re-brand, Would doing a backup and restore via PC companion rebrand my unit? Or would that just restore back to the back to the base of what ever I used to debrand it with?
Uk Generic eh? Sounds like it would also be my cup of tea. I'm sure it's posted here, I'll use the search feature when I get home.
Thank you so much for your imput and follow up my friend.

Anyone bought a SIM unlock code ?

I had a z2 from which I unlocked via o2 for free ( excellent service ) but my phone became faulty so sent it off to Sony for repair. Sony sent me a replacement phone which was o2 branded and o2 locked. I asked o2 for the unlock code but have been told the imei isn't on the database.
So I want to try buying an unlock code but wanted someone who's bought one successfully to recommend someone to me.
Anyone help ?
Thanks Si

Unlocked both my z1 and z2 from this ebayer. It will take a few days but it'll definitely work. Read the description first.
At £15 yes it's a lot but cheapest I could find and with eBay you could always refund if something goes wrong.
As for Sony repair service I need to send mine in too maybe you could take a look at my thread and help me out too.

Thanks for the link , found that myself earlier so might give that a go if o2, Sony or HTCCODE ( I've bought a code from them for £18 already last Tuesday ) don't come through

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I am in the same situation.
I have a z2 which I bought from vodafone, without a sim. I got it unlocked back in January no problem via an ebay seller.
Recently, I had to send my z2 back to sony for repair due to a charging problem, which was fixed (by replacing the board).
Great, but they also sent it back locked to vodafone, with different IMEI.
Vodafone will not unlock it even though I'm willing to pay.
Several ebay sellers have failed, saying things like "server problems" and "not found in database"
I'm really stuck, I'm on my 5th ebay unlocker now but not very optimistic about it.
The phone is not barred, it's only showing a network lock with tries available in the service info screen, as expected.
Does anyone know of a service that will work? I've had my z2 back for 3 weeks now and cannot use it
