[SDK TOOL] androidscreencast - Java OnScreen Remote Control - Atrix 4G Themes and Apps

I was looking for an app similar to one I used to use on WinMo that let me have my phones display on my computer's desktop, let me use my mouse and keyboard with the phone, and supported portrait and landscape, all over usb. I found this androidscreencast that allows these options but also allows video capture. You need the SDK installed and up to date java. Try it out.

<edit> Got it working by just launching androidscreencast directly from the file itself. No need to use a cmd line to execute it.

hmm, can't get it to work yet
edit:
nevermind, i just had to unlock my screen.

Cool, I probably shouldve put that in the OP. Just save the java file and run it when you want to connect.

I've used this before, isn't the fps really slow? Would love to have this instead of a laptop dock thingy... Cheaper lol.

I haven't tried the suggest application, but I've ran on that platform (HC v4 2nd edition on eMMC), CM7 SD Boot v.33, and currently on NookieComb v.01. I've used an app that requires a rooted device, you can grab it from the Market, it's called "ShootMe", it worked on all 3 different platforms for me. The picture is saved on a new folder it creates for itself on SD, folder name "ShootMe". Hope that helps, good luck!
****IF this was helpful please consider clicking "thanks" below!
Very nice find!
yeah, him I'm the dev and the app is supposed to be an xda exclusive!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=995443
It don't work on Gtablet running CM7. I know this isn't the gtab forum, but I know a lot of folks have a gtab and a nook color also so I was just giving all a heads up to save 'em from going through a purchase then a refund like I had to do.

Hi hitekredneck!
Im the dev of Screenshot ER, which you said is not working on your CM7 gTab here.
Could you please send me a logcat in debug mode so i can solve this issue?
What you need to do is:
1. Download aLogcat from the market
2. Tick "Debug mode" in Screenshot ER
3. Run aLogcat
4. Reproduce your error in Screenshot ER
5. Go into aLogcat and pause
6. Use the share menu to send the resulting text either to [email protected] or via PM here at XDA
Thanks!
It works fine on my gtab! Which cm?

DDMS Screenshots errorous

Hey you.
Do you also have the problem taking screenshots by DDMS? Especially I want to take some from xrecovery or CWM for special tutorials. But alls these pictures are messed up (see attached picture).
Only app that works currently is drocap. All Other Apps like PicMe or ShootMe also don't work. THey seem to use the same technique the DDMS uses to take the pictures.
I am on CyaNoComb 1.4. But I guess it has something todo with ADB.
I have the newest andorid SDK (v12) and I Tried it on Win7 (x64) and WinXP (x86) all have messed up pictures.
Do you have an Idea? I thought there was somewhere a workaround but search did not help me.
Again: I don't want to use drocap because this only shoots pictures a) on mobile and b) whent it's already booted. I need pictures from xrecovery/cwm menu and also I want to take pictures on my pc having the mobile connected. Usually it's possible but currently something is messed up.
So my first question:
Do you all have this Problem using DDMS? (you can also use this nice asm tool (search for it) that also uses the functionality of DDMS Screenshots. Are the pivtures messed up for you?
If not you're a welcome candidate to help me find out. What's the problem. SO post your firmware, OS using, driver Version etc.
If you already know that problem and have solved it dont be shy, tell it us
Thanks!
that's what it looks like:

Drocap 2 works root only
?? Sorry, I don't udnerstand what your reply means. I know that drocap (2) works and is only for rooted phones. But this is not my question oO.
Can you please use ddms or any tool that uses this API to take screenshots? To you get proper pictures?
You can use for example ASM point the jar into the folder where you have the adb.exe or set adb into your PATH
Arrrr reet na I never read hole post lol
im having the problem
win7 and even with ubuntu 11
on both screen pic not clear
so i think its not a driver problem
Problem solved in MiniCM7-2.0.5.
No problem for me either minicm 2.0.4 or 2.0.5 work flawlessly
Hmm Problem in GinTonic and Zombiepanic Kernel still exists.
I heard it's possibly a ddms-problem!?
what does "my phone explorer do"? i remember it had screenshots option.

[Q] Error when trying to complile APK using APKTool

I am trying to edit something in the Google Voice apk, but everytime I try to compile, I get the following error:

I have tried updating aapt.exe, re-installing APKTool, etc. but nothing has worked.. I am on Windows Vista 64-bit. Any suggestions?
Google Voice always has issues when trying to decompile etc.. just use one from another ROM or something. What do you want to do?

Well I tried decompiling and recompiling a random apk and got the same error. I'm trying to make a way to get to the inbox if you're in a conversation thread. For example, sometimes I have to press the Back key like 30 times to get all the way back to the inbox. I was going to make the "Archive" button take you to the inbox (because I never use Archive).
I will try to compile on a different computer and update what happens.
edit: Fixed it!
Just deleted everything in the /apktool/frameworks folder and it worked.

[Tool][Win][ICS]Razr Root

I know there is other tools out there, I was bored and decided to write up a tool that runs the root script in a GUI for windows.I just wanted something to do and this is what I came up with.
Special Thanks To:
Regaw - AndroidLib
pedrotorresfilho
kholk
miloj - Exploit binary
First things first. This program runs a commands at startup. It will verify if the device is a razr, it will verify only 1 device is plugged it. It does have minor error checking. It's mainly just to look cool. While it does root again I was bored. This really isnt anything new.
NOTE: To exit the application you click the back button. This will exit the app.
The home button will take you to this thread.
The Menu button i'm not sure what to do.
The Search button i'm not sure what to do. // Will probably set it up for donation link for the guys above.
Also I know the file size is big, lol like i said i did this while being bored its more focused on the look. It uses some extra dlls etc in order to do transparency and listbox images.

Hi!
Why is the adb process persistent? After running this aplication we cannot delete de folder or disable the adb process in background.
--Edit--
I may have found an answer: You've used a 32bit library (MS Windows (GUI) Intel 80386 32-bit). You should add a statment in OP it's for 32bit versions of windows.
Thanks
32Bit should run fine on 64bit machines, just need to place adb-killserver on shut down and that will stop adb. I will do that today.

Use any Android device as PC for fastboot

First and foremost here is the thread I believe to be OP abandoned and I give small credit to cause of the lack of upholding it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586472
Visit the thread above and grab the fastboot.bin file and move it to
system/bin (rename to fastboot)

Once you have fastboot where it needs to be than you now need to know where to place flashable files right?
(root of sdcard)
Below is a video of how to flash a custom recovery using a Tablet to an HTC ONE M8 .the process can be performed from phone to phone, tablet to tablet, phone to tablet, tablet to phone .
