Is there a working Flash Player for our Minis yet? I have searched but couldn't find anything..

In most new roms
It's unofficial though, and very unstable, it won't help you play videos as those usually cause FC or reboots.
Adobe is supposed to be developing an ARMv6 version, but we haven't heard anything else for a while, it's supposed to come out with the Flash Player HD video playback update.
read these thread,i bet u will find something..go here and here
And by then everyone will have abandonned the Mini. Why didn't I buy another phone? :/

I've been trying to play video on BBC news website with no success. The loading circle just rotates forever. Funny thing is when I first got my sgs2 it played no problem whatsoever. Also BBC iplayer main website won't let me access it, says my phone not supported. Once again I think I could access it before I upgraded from 2.3.3. Java is enabled in my settings and plugins are allowed. I'm unrooted on stock voda 2.3.5. Anybody else sufferring from this problem?

All working fine here... do u have flash installed OK?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Yeah, running latest version of flash downloaded from market. Using stock browser. Tried uninstalling flash updates, but made no difference. The red ring just keeps whirling round forever and video never plays. All very odd. Every other site I've tried video works fine e.g. sky news, t3, stuff TV, itv news, gadget show. Even BBC one watchlive worked. I guess it must be my settings somehow? But i've no idea what exactly.

Yes, I have the problem as well. It was one of the good things about the S2 that I could watch all the BBC news videos. I guess the BBC have changed something.
I have just tested and it now works OK using Dolphin HD Browser (and you can watch full screen unlike on the stock browser)
Also the videos work on the official BBC news app
I agree, the first thing I checked in shop on demo gs2 was flash playing video on BBC news website. The speed and smoothness really impressed me. Coming from HTC legend ARMv6 where flash was crap, it helped make my decision to buy gs2 final. At least now I know someone else has this issue and shares my disappointment.
Good to know it still works with dolphin hd though. But for me I'd rather stick to stock browser because if hardware acceleration. So the fact it doesn't work anymore is pretty frustrating.:-(

i have solved this problem by using an older version of adobe flash that i still had backed up in titanium backup. but i don't know if thats the best solution since then you won't get the newest versions and security fixes.....
Using titanium backup to roll back flash might be an option. Although i'm pretty sure I would need root. Interestingly I have uninstalled all flash updates back to 10.1 and it made no difference. So maybe flash isn't the problem?

Can you give me a link to try?
I know that the bbc have recently moved over to HTML5 video content.
http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/22/bbc-moves-towards-html5-for-websites-tells-flash-itll-still-be/
This is probably the issue though I have surfed through the site and it is all working for me.

Interesting article. I presume you want the link to the web page I'm having trouble with? It's just the BBC news front/home page.

If I've picked you up wrong let me know.
Also as I stated earlier BBC iplayer (WEBSITE) says my phone isn't supported. Does that also work for you? Thanks for your input
Gs2 on stock uk voda 2.3.5 using stock browser.

Am trying to find the version of Adobe Flash Player which works without the flashing black triangle when streaming with BBC iPlayer. I know other people have reported that a previous version works but I don't know which one to look for.
Please can people post the version of Adobe Flash Player they are using. The current one in the Play Store is v11.1.115.8
Thank you.

I'm on Blackstar VII ROM. I have stock browser Boat and Dolphin. It shows I have flash downloaded from the ROM but the browsers do not recognise it. I used to be able to watch the videos in the webpage (like ESPN) but now the videos have to be downloaded. I was wondering why?
I know adobe stopped flash support and format currently nothing for JB. This ROM is ICS. I did some searching and didn't find much on this topic. I'm just wondering what others are doing.
Thanks foe the time.

Hi Guys,
I've had my S3 for a couple of months now, but i've found that i'm occasionally experiencing some corruption when viewing online Videos (guessing they're Flash vids). I have the latest Official Firmware, rooted with Franco Kernel - though this did happen before i rooted. It doesnt happen everytime, and even videos on the same website will play and then some don't. Has anyone else seen this before, have any ideas on how to fix it? Attached a screenshot of what happens.
I've been having the same problem I think I its a flash player issue and jellybean

Thanks for the response - puts my mind at ease a little. Was beginning to think my S3 was faulty.
Same here.
Same here on stock Jellybean

Never had this on stock rom/kernel or foxhound/siyah kernel.

Same here on a Sammy jellybean rom, i don't recall seeing this on aosp based Roms, I might be wrong though.
I did notice a work around though, the "corruption" only happens (or mostly) at 480p videos, so if you change the quality to 360p or 720p it should work as usual.
Hope this helps.

flash 11.1 had this issue on certain flash video's, since you can't get a newer flash branch, just uninstall it and use html5 video.
Try this... http://db.tt/Nlqa2OnD
Its an older version of flash. It should work.
Hey guys,
XBMC for android just hit a official beta state (Beta 2). i've tried to run it on my nexus 10 but unfortunately the app fc's. has anybody else gotten this problem? or does anyone know hot to get it working?
thanks in advance
dadebue
the copy i got off of xda works perfect. its the 11/27 build thats is compatible with android 4.2. google xbmc android and click on the xda link. they are keeping semi nightly status going. also, the navi-x app works perfect! all the streaming option there are today (google play music) there is no need for a large internal memory imo
edit---
heres is the link to working copy

From the XBMC team:
Users should be aware that an update to Android 4.2 appears to have temporarily broken XBMC support for all you Nexus and Cyanogenmod users (and anyone else running 4.2). Beta3 should be right around the corner, and we hope to have a fix in place by the time that rolls out.
You can probably get it working using a nightly build but I'm holding out for Beta 3.
Yes ive been running xbmc since i got my tablet 2 weeks ago, its good that they are making it officially supported.
My experience has been that all SD content plays perfect. All 720p MKV's play perfect, so long as the audio is not DTS, if the audio is aac or Dolby Digital its fine, but DTS makes it go very choppy.
1080p MKV is just very very choppy.
I believe it is because the internal player is all SW encoded, if they turn on HW support then it should run perfect, judging by how well MX player plays with the DTS codec download.
XBMC 12 RC1 is out. No longer beta. Working perfectly on 4.2.

There's a version of XBMC for Android (starting on January 18th, I think) tagged as hwaccel that has, reportedly, HW acceleration in many Android devices.
Does anybody know how to check if the Nexus 10 is included?
I'm running it. Works great! Checkb out this article. It states that xbmc will call up an external video player like mxplayer, and steam HD

No, I didn't mean that version with external player support.
I meant this:

Working great
Running this one now http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/android/xbmc-20130127-c34a6a1-android-hwaccel-armeabi-v7a.apk
Scanned all movies from my readynas. Seems to be working well so far. Just played with past 15 min.
I've tried 3 different builds. The new xaf build, the hardware accl version and the beta 3 from xbmc.org and all 3 have same effect. Using local files they play fine. But when I use navi x to stream them they audio and video stutters pretty bad. I'm using clean rom 1.1 and Franco v4.

bump..
whats the latest crew are using on their N10?
I'm using the latest official release directly from xbmc.org with the 1channel add on. It can't be beat!

I actually went with the pivos nightly build..
Seems to be running OK..
Used the hub to autoset the addons it comes with..
But with that being said, I do see a new android nightly so I might be daring and give it a whirl..
http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/android/
Problems with addons for me on the 10/08 build..
Going to play with the monthly and see if any joy..
No joy..heading back to the pivos build..
The new builds are lightening fast with loading and navigation..
But scripts are not loading and its not allowing addons to access internet..
Which is a little painful as it will load in addons via fusion so its not access problems.
Anyway..looking forward to seeing these builds mature.

Man I'm loving the stable frodo build. The 1channel add on went through a little rough patch over the last day or so. Changing it domain from primewire to let me watch this fixed it. All my shows with subscriptions are working perfectly. Still can't believe something so polished and high performing is so cheap.

There is a good guide to setup on android devices for those that are new to XBMC.
http://www.xbmcandroid.com/2013/06/03/how-to-install-the-official-version-of-xbmc-for-android-then-configure-it-with-the-xbmc-hub-wizard-addon/
Also another little tip is to go in to programs XBMCHUB - Maintainnace -"Mantainance" - "download all UK plugins"
this will load a lot of the latest good plugins to add sites from.
total time for setup about 1/2hour.
Edit: So as not to double post..
heads up to this as well.. for those that dont have a Synology NAS and the programs that come with it..
I played with it last night and seems a nice way of Movie management.. brought the paid app to support the developer..
He has done a good job on it..
