and if yes, so what do i need to do please?
hey

Doubtful if Titanium backed up a theme as a theme is not an app its part of the firmware .
If you did a nandroid/CWM backup recover that if not do as instructed its not hard .

Hi guys. Need your help over ere! As the title suggests, ive forgot to take a backup of my rom before flashing with 'Sensation rom by Crysis'. Now, if i want 2 revert back to the stock rom, what can i do? Also, theres a new v2.5 available for our SGS2s but I cant update nw, as the update option is probably removed on dis rom! Plz help!
You can install a clean stock ROM without any problems. All your stuff that were in the old one are gone though, unless you didn't wipe before installing the new ROM.

hi!
I plan to root my SGS2 phone (using odin to put a CF-Kernel on it) and then I plan to install e.g. CM7...
But I want to backup as much as possible in advance to be able to return to stock as close as possible. because of this I want to backup my very on ROM (which is at the moment samsung 2.3.4 stock with TouchWiz), so that I don't have to download a stock-ROM or something like that...
1.) Is it possible to backup my current ROM (e.g. via CWM) so that I can return to this when I find out that I don't like CM7 for example? so that I won't need to download a separate stock-rom to get to my current stock-rom, because I backed my current ROM up myself?
2.) if this is possible, can I then use KIES again after I recovered my own current stock-rom after I decided to not use cm7 anymore and I want to eturn to my own stock-backup (that I backed up in advance - if it was possible (see previous question)) to then use KIES to update e.g. to icq cream sandwich when it's released next year on the "nomal" KIES-way...?
3.) according to that I have this post, where I ask, if it's possible to backup my stock-kernel before replacing it with CF-Kernel... I'd appreciate help there, too, very much!
thank you very much!!
Read what is your current rom at about section and take notes about rom and kernel.
Then go to Intratech's thread, find your firmware and original kernel,
Download and keep in a safe place.
Use Odin to flash back to stock wit the firmware you downloaded.
Cheers.

Full Backup: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1409484
However its untested by me how you put it back.
Also look at Post 9 from oinylicious in this Thread, you can use Zergrush only for temp root instead of Doomlords Tool where you get permanent root.
This works for the whole Phone, not just the Kernel
I did exactly what your planning.
I had a stock phone and firmware.
Used cfroot kernel to root.
Did a nandroid backup or CWM backup.
Did a titanium backup of apps.
Flashed CM7 nightly Rom.
All was good but wanted to go back.
Did a CWM restore.
Was back on stock all good as before.
Did the same with miui.
Actually I can go back and forth as I have CWM backups of each type.
Hope this helps.

thank you! yes, this is what I inteded to to. when this really works, it's great.
sorry for the noob question but "nandroid backup or CWM" is already included in the CF-Kernel, am I right?
the resulting question would be if it's possible to backup the original kernel... before I flash the CF-Kernel... I asked it here...

No but you should find matching kernel in stock roms thread .

Um. What? If you do a full wipe, what magic process do you expect to install your apps for you?
then what's the point in backing up the data

Not sure you understand... if you do a CWM backup, that is basically taking a snapshot of your entire phone image. Firmware, apps and their data, contacts, the whole kit and kaboodle. From there, you can restore the backup if you bork your phone provided you can still get to CWM recovery.
Your Google account will track what apps you have installed officially through the Play Store (formerly known as the Android Market), and it might even re-install some or all of them for you (depending on the version of market/play store you have after your full wipe), but it won't retain your app data. So if you do this, you'll lose all your Angry Birds high scores, in other words. That may or may not be a big deal to you.
As 078gregory said, you can use TB (Titanium Backup) to back up and restore app data.
just want to add.. CWM backup does not backup kernel or modem... it does backup the gps patch and other patches tho...
Yes. It does backup kernel. I restored my GM/Siyah CWM backup on Sunday after trying CM9 for a few days and my kernel was most definitely restored. You are correct about the modem tho.

U need to perform a full wipe and flash the ROM. Don't worry about the kernel because each ROM cones packaged with a kernel.

You will lose all your apps and personal settings because you need to do a full wipe. You have to back up your apps with titanium backup and restore them after you install shostock3.

the others have covered the method. just wanted to add that if you restore from Titanium Backup and have issues with the ROM, the restored apps may be why. If you like what it has to offer, try a full wipe and reinstall apps from scratch before giving up.
Nandroid backup first!!
smsbackup + Titanium Backup = win.
Backup your launcher too if you can.

A few questions;
1. What happens when you try to restore the backup?
2.What ROM are you using now?
3.What ROM were you using when you made the backup?
4.Have you performed a complete wipe since making the backup?
After you answer these i might be able to help you.

Sorry, I'm confused, you said you didn't make a wipe, but then you said you did. Please try to be clearer. Also, Ive never used either of those ROMs so it may be that their file systems are incompatible, see if the backup works on the Fusion ROM. If it does, then they probably are, if it doesn't then the backup may be corrupt.
